また、追従する形でFantiaでもAI生成作品の一時取り扱い停止が発表されました

……私もいつかこうなるとは正直思ってはいました(I honestly thought this would happen to me one day)。

FANBOXでは質も低く、創造性の欠片もない量産品(AI)が数字を取ることも多いです。

Pixivはモラルのない連続投稿や、指の修正や色々な拘りのなく「およそ作品とは呼べない」もので溢れかえっていました。

FANBOX often figures in mass-produced works of low quality and without a shred of creativity.

Pixiv was filled with morally bankrupt serial submissions, finger corrections, and various other unrestrained "works of art" that "can't really be called works of art".

上記のFANBOXの投稿から言葉を引用されていただくなら(If I may quote a few words from the above fanbox post)、

「しかし現在のFANBOXでは、生成AI技術により短期間で大量に作成されたコンテンツを販売することのみを目的に利用されることが多く、今後もその傾向はより強まっていくと感じています。それは本来私たちが目指していたサービスの姿とは異なり、このまま見過ごすことはできないと判断しました。

However, FANBOX today is often used solely for the purpose of selling content created in large quantities in a short period of time using generative AI technology, and we feel that this trend will only grow stronger in the future. This is not what we originally intended for our service, and we have decided that we cannot continue to overlook this situation.」

と言う言葉は、的確で私も完全に同意しております。

AI絵、というものを悪用することはとても簡単です。

しかしながら、これは包丁屋さんで包丁を売ることが罪に問われるのかと言う問題。

Winnyと言うファイル共有ソフトの制作者が逮捕された事件などと比較することができますが「使い手の使い方次第でどんなものにもなる」と言う事でもあります。

It is very easy to misuse what is called "AI painting".

However, this is the question whether it is a crime to sell knives in a knife shop.

It can be compared to the case of the arrest of the creator of file-sharing software called Winny, but it also means that "it can be anything depending on how the user uses it.

そのことから、私が今回の件で感じていることは「人間はモラルを持つことはとても大切である」と言う事です。

日本には「情けは人の為ならず」と言う言葉があります。正しい意味は「人に親切にすれば、その相手のためになるばかりではなく、巡り巡って自分に戻ってくる」と言う意味で、これとは逆の意味(因果応報)の言葉もあります。

From this, what I feel in this case is that "it is very important for human beings to have morals.

……私も二次創作をする人間として同じ穴の狢と蔑まれて当然ではあります。

そして、余りにも酷い行いの人間が多すぎた結果だと言う事に個人的な憤りがないわけではございませんが、この結末を受け入れさせて頂く所存です。

......I, as a person who creates derivative works, am justifiably scorned as a member of the same group.

I am not without personal resentment that this is the result of too many people behaving so badly, but I am willing to accept the consequences.

FANBOXのお知らせを読む限り、即日の禁止ではなく、

「それにあたって変更する利用規約・ガイドラインの発効日や、FANBOXにおけるAI生成作品の定義などについての詳細は、後日改めてお知らせいたします。発効日以降、AI生成作品を用いた投稿への警告や非公開化、クリエイターアカウントの停止などを随時行ってまいります。

Details regarding the effective date of the revised Terms of Use and Guidelines and the definition of AI-generated works on FANBOX will be announced at a later date. After the effective date, we will issue warnings to users who submit AI-generated works, make their accounts private, and suspend their creator accounts as necessary」

との事ですので、厳密には「規約の変更＆ガイドラインの発行以降に効力を持つ」との記載です。

そのため、規約変更と発行の瞬間までは更新を行わせて頂く所存です(支援者様へのご恩もまだ返し切れておりません)。

So, technically, the statement is "effective after the change of the Terms & Conditions & the issuance of the Guidelines".

Therefore, we intend to keep the site updated until the day of the rule change and issuance (and we have yet to repay our supporters).

また、移転先として今まで秘密クラブのような存在であったPatreonもこの度、どうにもならない状況ですので告知させて頂きます(FANBOXの様にブログ形式で言葉が書けない悲しみや、料金が高すぎる問題もありますが……)。

日本では執筆時点でCi-enが移転候補として残っておりますが、情勢はまだまだ変化しそうでしばらく様子見になると思われます。

In Japan, Ci-en remains a candidate for relocation at the time of writing, but the situation is still likely to change and we will have to wait and see!

……正直、私はFANBOXが大好きでした。

創作を通して色々な人と交流することは勿論、努力を評価して頂くことに人生の充実感を感じておりました。

...... Honestly, I loved FANBOX.

I felt a sense of fulfillment in my life to be appreciated for my efforts as well as to interact with various people through my creations.

規約が更新されるその時までFANBOXでの活動を継続いたしますが、もし戻ってくることが出来れば皆さんとまた表現を分かち合っていきたい。その様に考えております。

Will continue our activities in FANBOX until the day when the rules are renewed, but if can come back, would like to share expression with you again. That's what I'm thinking.

……お別れを言うにはまだ早いですが、私の人生に彩を与えてくださった皆さんへ、心からの感謝を伝えさせてください。

本当に、ありがとうございました。残された活動期間も、よろしくお願いいたします。
