SPACEBALLS (A Surprise!!)

Hey guys!

Thought I'd throw a quick reaction video in that's a little more light hearted before we jump to Alien next. Since so many have requested it, here is my reaction to SPACEBALLS! I hope you enjoy this funny, uplifting reaction before you see me in literal terror for the next one. As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments below and until next time, stay golden!

Oh yeah, Galaxy Quest

Agreed. Can't wait to see Nat react to Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein

The Golgothan

You should turn this into a Mel Brooks folder...just saying🍻

Nick Morgan

This one is too silly. Galaxy Quest is a super science fiction comedy. It's more of a Star Trek parody than Star Wars, but it also is a good stand alone movie that doesn't depend on being a fan of those franchises.

Dennis B

Natalie, if you haven't seen it, check out Airplane!

Nick Morgan

This isn't your style of humor, is it?

Aaron Taft

I'm too familiar with that movie haha

Natalie Gold

I recently saw someone else react to Monty Python and the Holy Grail and it was absolutely hilarious...she knew nothing about Monty Python ahead of time, so I don't know if you've seen that movie, but if not, it would be very interesting!

Chris Lane- Venturi 3D

It would be inconcievable not to!

Peadar O'Ruadhán

The Princess Bride has to show up at some point.

Nick Morgan

ya know... this movie hasn't aged well...

mrhalfbit

Hi Daniel, I'll be doing Alien first! But will definitely view the others at some point. Just can't do all these scary movies in one go haha

Natalie Gold

Hi Patrick, This is how I need to do my reactions to be safest with copyright. Sorry if you don't enjoy it. It's meant to be synced up with your own copy of the movie to watch with me

Natalie Gold

I can not wait!

NobleSon32

Woot!

Daniel Drew

Thanks! Suggestion I just thought about- Lonesome Dove.

Shea Harris

Thanks Natalie! This was a nice surprise. Always enjoy your reactions.

Marcus Jeter

You posted this on my birthday, Bitchin'

Brian Vivian

Please show the movie or at least turn the sound on

Patrick Wenter

I forgot how silly that movie was...

TorontoHobbit

Great reaction as always! Nice to have some comic relief after the emotional rollercoaster of Return of the King and before the nightmare fuel Alien, lol. Looking forward to the next one!

Bill Bell

Shaking my head at all this proposed cherry picking. I'm a completionist by nature, so when I watched Star Trek, I started with TOS and skipped nothing. I know it's crazy, but for me, it's all or nothing when it comes to fiction.

Thomas Hansen

Natalie, in regards to the previous poll, are you going to do Predator and Jaws after Alien? Or only the “winning” selection?

Daniel Green

Well, gotta add Planet of the Apes (original recipe) and at least Star Trek 2, 3, 4, 6 and Generations to the list. The first one is a bit dull and the fifth is... yeah. Oh, I’d complain about not seeing the movie, only reactions, but I just spent the last hour and a half plus watching the movie for the first time in 20 years with you in my ear! Not a bad evening, must say!

Matthew Periolat

before!

Natalie Gold

I LOVE YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN haha

Natalie Gold

Did you watch this before Alien or after?

Gary Poussard

So silly and fun, but such a bad movie at the same time. Lots of eye rolling and groaning watching that one, though it is great in certain moments. I FAR prefer Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein" and "Blazing Saddles" to this one. Like... as good as it can be at times, "Spaceballs" isn't even close.

Robert Reichle

I second "Airplane!", it's probably the best parody ever made...it might however share that honor with "Top Secret!"

Holy crap yes! THESE AREN'T THEM YOU FOOLS, YOU'VE CAPTURED THEIR STUNT DOUBLES

Such a great surprise. Spaceballs was definitely one of those films I watched so much as a kid.

If you enjoy parody movies you should watch some of Mel Brooks other movies. especially Robin Hood: men in tights. its one of my favorites!

Endling_king

You’re getting me through this quarantine Natalie.

Daniel Green

Haha, what a fun and cool surprise! I hadn't watched this movie for at least 15 years, so it was nice to watch it again :) I've seen others recommending that you watch The Shawshank Redemption at some point, which I wholeheartedly agree with. It's my favorite movie of all time, and based on your interest in character development, acting and overall quality I think it is a film you most definitely would love! Stay golden! :)

Mikal Toresen

Well, that was fun! Thanks for doing this for us. I think the best reaction was at the Diner towards the end. That Alien reference brought out so many emotions.

YAY!!! Nice to have a laugh! Please, by all means, keep changing up! As for me... oooo, guess I need to finally watch Alien too!

Matthew Periolat

Yay! Thank you!

Texadan

If you haven't seen it already, a reaction to Airplane would be fantastic. It's a comedy classic, and holds up way better than most 80's comedies. Can't wait to watch this Spaceballs reaction!

Erik Stevenson

GOT is definitely on the list! As are MCU movies

Natalie Gold

Yeah! You did well thank you!

Calo Grsf

This is gonna be interesting! - I am curious to know if there are any other big and popular movie series or TV-shows you've never watched like with Star Wars and Lord of the Rings? Game of Thrones perhaps?

Danishprince

Good that you saw Star Wars first. I've heard of people who saw Spaceballs first as a kid, then saw Star Wars afterward, and asked: "Why did they make an unfunny Spaceballs?"

Andy Jordan

Awesomesauce!

beetle

Ahh you're the best, thank you! :-)

Erik Lundmark

I love how we've created a circle of movie watching: we recommend, you react and I watch that movie. Wonderful stuff!

Reggie Clark

Yessssss!!!!!
