What should I watch after LOTR?
Added 2020-06-13 18:30:24 +0000 UTCThink it might be fun to watch something scary with you guys after LOTR! Lmk your thoughts on the films below :)

At some point in the future, you're gonna want to watch Labyrinth (w/David Bowie) :)

2020-08-23 00:56:08 +0000 UTCWhile Alien is classic, personally I'm a bigger fan of Predator. Just an all around better paced film. Not to say Alien isn't amazing, I just find it a really slow burn and not really a "horror" film.
Matthew Duley
2020-07-11 03:25:10 +0000 UTCAw that's awesome! So glad to hear that :)
Natalie Gold
2020-07-09 20:25:18 +0000 UTCThe sequels. I'm having a "DUH! Why didn't I think of that" moment. Yeah, you do need to watch that again. And the Predator movies would lead to the Alien VS Predator series too. There's a lot to enjoy about your reactions and film journey, but I'm also having fun remembering and deep diving into my own movie watching history. You are quickly becoming the face of movie nostalgia at our house. We started re-watching the movies before we watch your videos so we can be more refreshed with the movies when we watch your stuff. That's a lot of watches in that last sentence. Anyway, thanks for responding, and we're looking forward to whatever you decide to react to.
Pete Bowers
2020-07-09 20:17:21 +0000 UTCI've only seen it once and it was a couple years ago so I feel like the reaction will still be decent. Plus I've never seen Aliens so kinda need to do Alien to lead into that
Natalie Gold
2020-07-09 19:44:10 +0000 UTCAlien is an awesome movie! My only thing is you've said you've seen it before, so it seems like it's not a good choice to watch for a reaction video. Just my probably unneeded 2 cents.
Pete Bowers
2020-07-09 18:09:13 +0000 UTCI think Jaws has a lot of great human moments, quiet moments, acting moments, and multiple characters you can connect with, as well as as some humor, along with the jump scares and suspense, that make for a more varied experience (and more varied reactions, than Alien, for instance -- which is a great classic, don't get me wrong, and perhaps more intense! -- but less varied). Does this make sense? Others agree?
Nathan
2020-07-07 18:26:59 +0000 UTCIT WAS!! Ahhh!!!! Haha
Natalie Gold
2020-07-07 01:31:18 +0000 UTCHaha I was raised on IJ, although it's been years since I've seen them
Natalie Gold
2020-07-07 01:30:48 +0000 UTCOh it's definitely on my list! Haha
Natalie Gold
2020-07-07 01:30:33 +0000 UTCHaha I've seen Psycho and The Birds. Am definitely open to watching others (or revisiting the films mentioned)
Natalie Gold
2020-07-07 01:29:16 +0000 UTCNoted!
Natalie Gold
2020-07-07 01:28:45 +0000 UTCThe Labyrinth and The Princess Bride are must see modern classics.

2020-07-06 09:59:35 +0000 UTCRear Window!
2020-07-06 05:56:23 +0000 UTCWhats your opinion on watching some classic Hitchcock films like Psycho?
Scott Faye
2020-07-06 04:01:50 +0000 UTCAlso the Hobbit extended edition of course.
Scott Faye
2020-07-06 03:58:34 +0000 UTCI know its not a movie, but i would really like to see your reaction to the Clone Wars tv show. It definitely makes the star wars prequels more meaningful.
Scott Faye
2020-07-06 03:57:23 +0000 UTCThe Indiana Jones trilogy, for the best action-adventure series ever filmed.
beetle
2020-07-06 02:06:49 +0000 UTC“Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” would be nice one day.
2020-07-05 19:23:34 +0000 UTCBand of Brothers
Robin Fredriksson
2020-07-05 19:10:57 +0000 UTCLOTR wasn't scary enough for you? LOL :)
Steve Schroeder
2020-07-05 03:57:37 +0000 UTCI second 'The Prestige.'
mrhalfbit
2020-07-04 17:20:38 +0000 UTCIf you haven't seen 'The Prestige' or 'John Wick' I think they would make great reactions! Keep the content coming, absolutely love your reactions!
2020-07-04 13:17:46 +0000 UTCAll the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) films - in order, of course. But maybe that's just me..... who cares - MCU next!
Richard Maurer
2020-07-04 08:46:15 +0000 UTCReally enjoyed watching your reactions to LOTR. Huge fan of the series and I love seeing people being introduced to the world. I'd love to see you react to the Hobbit movies as well. Animation is a bit different, but the journey is still great. Also recommend the Maze Runner series too! Thanks again
Bryce Allison
2020-07-04 05:44:49 +0000 UTCI think you should definitely watch Spaceballs before you finish off Star Wars. If you watch Alien/Aliens it has to be at night or at least a dark room.
2020-07-04 04:17:51 +0000 UTCLoving the reactions, I recommend Harry Potter, Band of Brothers, and Children of Men.
Ian Forbes
2020-07-04 00:47:12 +0000 UTCReally? You need something scary after Eowyn went up against the Nazgul?
Alan Kobb
2020-07-03 23:41:27 +0000 UTCHaha so I've actually seen both Jaws and Alien, but only once. You're right. They are definitely too terrifying for me. But I aim to please!
Natalie Gold
2020-07-01 19:16:13 +0000 UTCI’m worried that Jaws, Alien, and The Thing may be too terrifying for you. Fair warning, they are awesome movies but if you were affected by the younglings’ deaths then...
2020-07-01 15:57:03 +0000 UTCI don
2020-07-01 15:55:28 +0000 UTCThanks!
Natalie Gold
2020-06-30 22:07:05 +0000 UTCSome old 80's movies I enjoy, still, are Big Trouble in Little China and The Goonies.
2020-06-30 21:32:39 +0000 UTCThe Expanse
Robert Kelly
2020-06-29 19:28:36 +0000 UTCThe hobbit
2020-06-29 15:30:17 +0000 UTCPlease watch the Hobbit movies after LOTR :-)
2020-06-28 23:25:58 +0000 UTCI agree. Alien 3 is okay, but it's really only notable as the directorial debut of David Fincher. Some people might argue that Prometheus would be important for the Alien franchise, but I think it actually works better as a stand-alone film than as a part of the Alien world. For '80s machismo, I think Commando, First Blood or Top Gun would be good entry points, since Predator is more of a satire of the genre. So it might be interesting to do Commando and Predator back-to-back, seeing an exemplar of a genre and then a response to that, especially since they both have Schwarzenegger in them.
Andy Jordan
2020-06-28 15:44:30 +0000 UTCIf you do watch Alien or Predator, please don't feel pressured to watch the whole joined franchise. I can only speak for myself, but I suspect most people would only really be interested in watching your reaction to Alien and Aliens, and maybe Predator if you're interested in some 80s machismo. None of the other Alien or Predator movies are good or essential.
Allan Rumberger
2020-06-27 20:25:32 +0000 UTCIt's on the list! :)
Natalie Gold
2020-06-27 19:33:13 +0000 UTCMadMax is amazing too!
2020-06-27 01:32:06 +0000 UTCI LOVED THE BOYS!! So good!!
Natalie Gold
2020-06-27 00:26:15 +0000 UTCYou might enjoy The Boys found on Amazon Prime.
2020-06-26 23:19:23 +0000 UTCYou should watch the hobbit and Mr Monk (Series) you'll enjoy those
Caleb Harvey
2020-06-24 05:49:21 +0000 UTCHaha I definitely will watch Aliens as well. Probably will switch to something else after that ;)
Natalie Gold
2020-06-24 04:16:59 +0000 UTCAlien would be fun!! Another great Ian Holm performance (RIP)
Bill Bell
2020-06-24 03:23:23 +0000 UTCAlien and Aliens are a must to complete up to that point of the story. There's no need to go beyond that at all unless you just really get into the concept. It's two classic movies followed by a series of "ok, I guess they made another one." Not bad that I can remember, but the only thing I really can remember about them is that the word meh kept coming to mind over and over.
Robert Reichle
2020-06-24 01:46:24 +0000 UTCI feel like Aliens was just a completely different genre. Alien was much slower paced and heavier on the horror whereas Aliens was much more of an action movie. And I agree that Alien 3 and 4 are pretty easy to forget haha
2020-06-23 13:25:30 +0000 UTCThank you!
Natalie Gold
2020-06-22 23:44:23 +0000 UTCagreed, Aliens is better, but the later sequels not so much. Skip Alien 3, 4. Prometheus is ok and Alien Covenant is good.
wallace cady
2020-06-22 07:38:56 +0000 UTCIf you choose to watch Alien next, you NEED to watch Aliens right after. A lot think the sequel is better!
Joe
2020-06-22 06:18:19 +0000 UTCInterstellar omg yes, agreed!
Erik Lundmark
2020-06-21 17:56:22 +0000 UTCIf you ever do a suitable poll in the future for this movie Plz plz plz pleeese include "Brazil" from 1985 ("final director's cut / American cut" 142 minutes).
Erik Lundmark
2020-06-21 17:55:43 +0000 UTCThank you!!
Natalie Gold
2020-06-21 02:48:39 +0000 UTCIf you haven't seen them the Monty Python movies are great. The Life of Brian and The Meaning of Life. Others i would like to see your reaction The 5th Element, Kingdom of Heaven, Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick , Castaway, Gladiator, Blade, Starship Troopers and The Matrix to name a few.
SleeplessHours
2020-06-20 22:55:25 +0000 UTCThank you!!

2020-06-20 22:41:19 +0000 UTCNoted! Not sure I can do Schindler's List as a first time reaction tho....I'll literally ugly cry the whole time
Natalie Gold
2020-06-20 22:40:50 +0000 UTCGreat movie, I second this.
Dread_Azathoth
2020-06-20 22:26:00 +0000 UTCChoose either The Prestige or Memento - both are Christopher Nolan classics you would absolutely love (or try Interstellar)...
Ken Donato
2020-06-20 21:04:14 +0000 UTCAll 4 are Gold. If you've missed it, or haven't watched it recently, could I suggest "The Shawshank Redemption" ?
Erik Lundmark
2020-06-20 20:04:58 +0000 UTCSome fantastic films listed here! Can I suggest Man on Fire, Schindler's List, and The Life of Brian
2020-06-20 12:13:22 +0000 UTCI'd also love to see your reactions to the newest Planet of the Apes trilogy, Andy Serkis, the man who plays Smeagol plays the main ape and he is brilliant.
mrhalfbit
2020-06-20 06:53:53 +0000 UTCHere is just a list of my favorite films I'd love to see you react to: It's a Wonderful Life Lord of the Rings Trilogy The Breakfast Club Home Alone Jurassic Park Interstellar Arrival Apollo 13 Catch Me If You Can Back to the Future The Great Escape The Revenant Stranger Things would be a perfect for TV
mrhalfbit
2020-06-20 06:43:32 +0000 UTCIf we are going to be watching Alien, which it looks like we will be, I think it would be a good idea to watch Aliens the sequel immediately after. They are a good pairing to each other and really all you NEED to watch to really understand the franchise. There are MANY other ones to watch but these two are the quintessential (I just copied and pasted that word from google.)
mrhalfbit
2020-06-20 06:37:45 +0000 UTCSeveral more. Quite possible some were already posted, so sorry if. 2020-06-19 23:03:05 +0000 UTCThe Fourth of July is around the corner. You should watch a patriotic film. Here are a few suggestions: Hacksaw Ridge, Red Dawn from the 80s, Lone Survivor, Saving Private Ryan, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, American Sniper.
2020-06-19 22:10:15 +0000 UTCLOVE Monty Python and the Holy Grail!
Natalie Gold
2020-06-19 21:15:23 +0000 UTCWill write it down!
Natalie Gold
2020-06-19 21:15:10 +0000 UTChaha love that movie!
Natalie Gold
2020-06-19 21:14:54 +0000 UTCLots of recommendations already, though I'll add one to the pile if you want something a little more light hearted and fun (considering the emotional rollercoaster both SW and LotR can put someone through) -- Monty Python and the Holy Grail. If you haven't seen it I think a reaction to it would be hilarious and very entertaining.
2020-06-19 18:26:18 +0000 UTCI'd like to see you react to The Fifth Element eventually.
Shea Harris
2020-06-18 14:15:47 +0000 UTCIf you're gonna do Alien, then i would like to suggest Alien 1 all the way til Alien 4. Then Predator (the one with Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Predator 2. Then you can start on AvP (Aliens vs Predator) 1 and 2. After that, you can watch the rest of the new Predator movies. :D
BadMoon84
2020-06-18 09:49:25 +0000 UTCForrest Gump, you will never forget it.
Curaitis
2020-06-18 00:25:24 +0000 UTCHiya Natalie, if Alien wins (it looks like its going to) seriously consider watching Aliens (Alien 2) next; or at least put it on the poll for possible next movie. Alien is a landmark sci-fi horror film; Aliens is 2 hours of Bad-Ass.
CyrusB
2020-06-17 21:30:53 +0000 UTCYay! I definitely meant it as a compliment :) Thanks for the suggestions!

2020-06-17 18:55:51 +0000 UTCNew subscriber from Canada who is honoured to be compared to a hobbit! Not interested in scary films, but looking forward to the rest of the Lord of the Rings :) Other suggestions if you haven't seen them, Narnia Trilogy, National Treasures, Pirates of the Caribbean all movies, Timeline, Hobbit Trilogy, Cool Runnings, and if you want to do any tv shows, Primeval
2020-06-17 04:46:20 +0000 UTCYou need to watch The Mandalorian for sure! :)
2020-06-17 02:46:47 +0000 UTCYes! It's on the list as well. Thanks Doug
Natalie Gold
2020-06-17 01:07:01 +0000 UTCI don't know if anyone mentioned it yet, but Alita: Battle Angel movie was jaw dropping amazing in my opinion. Very few movies have amazing visuals and action yet still can tug the heart strings like that did for me.
Doug Willour
2020-06-16 23:42:43 +0000 UTCI would agree about Rogue One though, really good movie.
wallace cady
2020-06-16 20:12:35 +0000 UTCAs much as I feel bad that you are screaming horror girl, I have to admit, I will enjoy the reactions...

2020-06-16 20:08:54 +0000 UTCI just recently rewatched the alien franchise and would love to see your reaction to Ripley's arc.
Doug Willour
2020-06-16 19:51:28 +0000 UTCAfter watching the first 6 SW films, I'd highly recommend watching Episode 3.5 Rogue One
Evan C Davies
2020-06-16 06:48:16 +0000 UTCJust because they are cheesy in a good way, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films (the original ones from the 80's and 90's) would be a future suggestion.
Game Wizard001
2020-06-16 02:42:43 +0000 UTCWhile I hope you stay more focused on movies versus TV shows, I do think the series Firefly and it's follow-up movie Serenity are absolute must-sees.
Jack the Narrator
2020-06-16 01:33:47 +0000 UTCThanks for the suggestions David! I'm not a big anime person (although I did grow up with Pokemon haha). But I'm open to watching pretty much anything so will add all these to the list!
Natalie Gold
2020-06-16 00:04:04 +0000 UTCThe Thing is the scariest film there, buuuut, I'll understand if you want to ease yourself in with Alien. :) Other suggestions for trilogies or multipart franchise films. Mad Max (4 films) Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World's End (3 Flavours Cornetto Trilogy) Back to the Future trilogy The Mummy 1 & 2 (3 and the spin-offs aren't worth it). John Wick (3 films so far) The Matrix trilogy (films 2 & 3 are divisive but I'd love to see your take on them) T.V. series Firefly (14 eps) Fringe (100 eps) The Expanse (40 eps, ongoing) Battlestar Galactica (76 eps) Do you like anime? If so Cowboy Bebop is a MUST. Frequently topping Best of Lists time and time again. Even for those who don't regularly watch anime. Also ANY film by Studio Ghibli. Happy to join your Patreon. Love your genuine reactions and personality. Looking forward to the rest of my fave films of all time. The Lord of the Rings.
David of the North
2020-06-15 20:53:51 +0000 UTCWill add to the list!

2020-06-15 19:24:23 +0000 UTCHaha on my list as well! Thanks Nathan
Natalie Gold
2020-06-15 19:23:22 +0000 UTCI've seen the first Mummy film, all Jurassic Park (not a fan of the World series personally, but LOVE the older films). I've seen all the Hunger Games and Divergent movies as well. I have not seen most MCU films so that's definitely on my list to do fairly soon!
Natalie Gold
2020-06-15 19:23:04 +0000 UTCHi Gamal, probably not at this time. I want to keep varying things up on my channel so my plan is to watch the winner of the current poll that is up next
Natalie Gold
2020-06-15 19:16:15 +0000 UTCsince u watched the prequals to star wars aswell are u going through the hobbit movies when u end the lord of the rings triology?
2020-06-15 17:36:04 +0000 UTCEpsiode 7-9, espcially 8 killed the whole Franchise and made the Skywalker Saga a Joke only to make the Sequels a Mary Sue Festival. Cant write more cause if she wanna watch them i dont want to spoil her but every true Star Wars Fan knows that 7-9 are just crap cause of Kennedys Agenda.
Curaitis
2020-06-15 14:54:11 +0000 UTCShe shouldnt watch it to preserve her Feelings and Excitement. I couldnt imganine that one Movie could destroy the whole Skywalker Saga but Episode 8 killed Episode 1-6 willingly. Its the same like Terminator Dark Fate. One Movie killed the whole Franchise. She should made her self a Favor and forget about Epsiode 7-9
Curaitis
2020-06-15 14:53:00 +0000 UTCAlso, I suppose as a side note, since your description says you're interested in reacting to TV as well, I would recommend Supernatural.
Man Of Steel
2020-06-15 10:59:17 +0000 UTCSo, I'm brand new here. Just found and watched your LotR vids on Youtube and decided I liked what I saw enough that I came here. I will refrain from voting in this post as I'm not really into horror movies, and wouldn't want to impose my opinion on a subject I know so little of. And I hope we get to see the full, unedited versions of the Lord of the Rings reactions on Patreon. Speaking of LotR, I would highly recommend watching Cinemawins Youtube videos on the LotR trilogy after you've watched the movies. Not necessarily reacting to them, just watching on your own is fine. They do a great job explaining some of the more confusing elements and answering questions you may have, all while pointing out the little details that are the reason so many people consider these movies among the greatest movies ever made.
Man Of Steel
2020-06-15 10:57:35 +0000 UTCI’d add some more Nolan to this great list! And maybe even some Villeneuve! - Interstellar - Inception - The Prestige Villeneuve - Arrival - Sicario - Blade Runner 2049 - Prisoners
Levi Mata
2020-06-15 02:38:36 +0000 UTCHave you seen the Mummy trilogy? I highly recommend it! I would be interested to know which of these you haven't seen; The Mummy Trilogy The Jurassic Park/World Series Hunger Games Series The Divergent Series The Entire MCU

2020-06-14 23:30:28 +0000 UTCI don’t know if you’ve seen Game of Thrones before, but anyone who posts their reactions to a first-time viewing (going into it knowing as few spoilers as possible) gets swarmed with viewers. The fans are still rabid for that show.
Nathan Dickson
2020-06-14 22:52:18 +0000 UTCWhat about Pitch Black, and the sequel Chronicles of Riddick? I would like to see that.
Aaron Taft
2020-06-14 14:48:22 +0000 UTCNo pressure or expectations just a list of great Movies for you to consider in the Future . I try to list only must see Movies, dont know if you already saw some of them. Sin City 1-2 300 Moon (slower but great acting and story) Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (if you like Chinese Fairy Tales this is a must see) Mad Max (all 4 of them, Fury Road is considered as one ofd the best Action Movies ever made) Shawshank Redemption (every Movie Fan knows it and its the best Movie ever made) Equalizer 1-2 John Wick 1-3 Matrix 1 (2 and 3 are not a must see but they take deeper look into the World) Avatar Bourne Series (one the best Action Movie Series out there) 2 Guns (Good Buddy Action Movie and really funny) Alita Battle Angel (great Manga Adaptation) All Tarantino Movies!! ;) They are all must-see´s Terminator 1-2, 3 is ok, 4 could have been great a 5-6 are garbage. The Hobbit, as you started now with LotR this is a must. Gladiator James Bond (if you like them the new ones with Daniel Craig are nice to watch) MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) If not watched already) Batman: The Dark Knight Trilogy As i said, this are just recommendations cause i think they are some of the best Movies ever made. P.S. Its real Fun to watch your Reactions. Great Personality.

2020-06-14 12:46:37 +0000 UTCI love your ambition Jack but Natalie is not going to make it through all four of those movies. lets land on Alien, she has seen it once, and see how that goes.

2020-06-14 07:01:58 +0000 UTCI'll add it to the list!

2020-06-14 04:23:19 +0000 UTCI know you're taking a break from Star Wars but I really hope you get to 7, 8, and 9 soon. They're all great, 8 being my favorite of them all, and I'm a life long fan that grew up watching the originals daily

2020-06-14 02:19:55 +0000 UTC100th anniversary? LOL
Kenny Teeology
2020-06-13 22:50:09 +0000 UTCAlien is a classic, and if you like it, I also recommend the sequel, Aliens. Aliens is more of an action-horror and Alien is more of a suspense-horror. Both are excellent. Alien 3 and Alien: Resurrection, not so much. They can be enjoyable but they're not in the same league as the first two.

2020-06-13 22:49:13 +0000 UTCAnticipating your reaction to the Star Wars sequel trilogy...
Doubting Thomas
2020-06-13 22:35:16 +0000 UTCLooks like Alien might win at the moment. But if you watch JAWS, make sure it’s the 100th anniversary Blu-ray release.

2020-06-13 22:11:41 +0000 UTCAll good movies worth watching, but Alien is by far the scariest IMO (and my favorite of the choices). Really enjoying your movie reactions so far!
Neil Silverman
2020-06-13 21:43:33 +0000 UTCI'd love to see you react to the Alien series. Or at least Alien, Aliens, and Prometheus. And you must watch The Thing one day. A classic in every right.
