Which series should I start after Aliens?
Added 2020-07-15 17:05:56 +0000 UTCHey guys! What series would you like most for me to start watching after Aliens? I tried to avoid giving too many options here to keep things simplified. I've written down ALL of your suggestions from my last post and we will definitely be visiting those shows as well. These were just some of the most consistently mentioned.
Additionally, I'll be watching other movies in between these episodes. I do this to avoid boredom for myself AND you! :) Thanks for your vote!
Edit: I'm cringing inside at my incorrect spelling of "Mandalorian"...

I was deployed to Iraq and bored out of my mind when I was off duty...one of the guys got a DVD collection of BTVS. Been a fan every since! Can't wait to see you react to it.
2020-07-31 23:29:10 +0000 UTCbecame a patron to suggest Firefly + Serenity...glad it was on the poll!

2020-07-31 04:13:59 +0000 UTCI would love it if you watch Breaking Bad.
2020-07-26 15:56:03 +0000 UTCI want to see you do GAME OF THRONES very badly. Also, think about CHERNOBYL — it’s excellent and it’s only five episodes.
Daniel Bukszpan
2020-07-24 02:51:48 +0000 UTCNo need to recommend Serenity. If she watches the series there's NO WAY she won't want to watch the movie afterwards! :)

2020-07-23 18:01:28 +0000 UTCI'm totally in it to see some Game of Thrones! We all know it's going to make Natalie cry.

2020-07-23 15:56:42 +0000 UTCIf you end up choosing Firefly then hope you will include Serenity as well.
2020-07-23 14:16:57 +0000 UTCHere for Firefly. The Mandolorian would be my second choice, but you might consider watching The Clone Wars animated series first. They're not directly related at the moment, but they could be if "the rumor" about Mando season 2 ends up being true.
2020-07-23 03:33:03 +0000 UTCHere for Firefly!
Chris (darkwater)
2020-07-23 02:59:32 +0000 UTCI can't vote for GoT because it's either the whole thing on none for me and, as others have said, you'll get flamed on YouTube for it. I really do think if you haven't seen it, Battlestar Galactica (newer version) is a great one for you.
Baron Imhoof
2020-07-23 02:37:45 +0000 UTC2nd comment of this long rant lol Anyway, I'm conflicted but won't vote for GoT even if it's the best option because skipping episode won't do it. You won't know which one is worth doing and will get assassinated on Youtube. I don't want to rewrite everything...*sigh If you think GoT is too long to do all the episodes at this point then go for The Mandalorian. Only one season and it's a sure bet, it's so well done and pushed all the right buttons. The budget was off the roof and it shows, but everything is of the highest quality, acting and all. They successfully did an awesome Star Wars story and nailed the ambiance.

2020-07-23 00:01:42 +0000 UTCBesides, from a crass viewer-ship standpoint, if you do Firefly, the Browncoats will flock to your channel!

2020-07-22 22:46:31 +0000 UTCI signed up for patreon just to lobby (and vote) for Firefly.
Rudewalrus
2020-07-22 22:43:19 +0000 UTCTough choice, they're all so good. GoT is brutal, there will be shockers and tears - the others are all (relatively) benign.

2020-07-22 20:57:46 +0000 UTCNeed a big spoiler alert on this comment.

2020-07-22 20:53:32 +0000 UTCThe John Wick movies are 100% stooooopid, but I've watched every one of them because they're perfect mindless shoot-em-ups.
Dan Helphrey
2020-07-22 20:52:50 +0000 UTCThe problem with reading the books first is you wouldn't react as strongly to some of the big shockers in the show.
Dan Helphrey
2020-07-22 20:50:08 +0000 UTCI actually liked all of the Alien films, some more than others, but only the first two are essential.
Dan Helphrey
2020-07-22 20:42:22 +0000 UTCBuffy is one of my all-time favorites...but so are 3/4 of the other shows on the list...
Dan Helphrey
2020-07-22 20:28:16 +0000 UTCLet me start by saying how refreshingly spontaneous and charming I have found your reviews since I first stumbled onto them on t'interweb (I feel fine giving the internet a cute pet-name since I I'm still convinced one of my 6th form students gave Tim Berners-Lee the idea to call it the "web" during a Q&A session on a school trip I led to CERN in 1989... but I digress). Thanks for your efforts Natalie, you are a star! Now for my suggestion... Considering the limited number of episodes involved, can I step outside the box for a sec and suggest Firefly (& the follow-up Serenity movie) AND the Mandalorian, either consecutively or concurrently? Both are awesome series, and neither are going to take a huge chunk of your time to complete (much less than the other options), I also think that doing that would, as a result, give you a good feel for how well suited you might be to committing to reactions for much longer series like Buffy & GoT (as good as they both are).
Peter Wearne
2020-07-22 19:12:29 +0000 UTCI'd also like to see the rest of star wars and maybe the Marvel movies.

2020-07-22 18:42:58 +0000 UTCBumblebee. For a series, The Hobbit.
2020-07-22 18:25:46 +0000 UTCJoined just to vote for Firefly. Amazing characters. You'll be mad about 7 episodes in that it was canceled.

2020-07-22 18:13:25 +0000 UTCI just hope anything but the Mandolorian wins.

2020-07-22 17:40:19 +0000 UTCSeeing your reaction to Firefly and the movie Serenity would be amazing. I think you would thoroughly enjoy it.

2020-07-21 14:30:45 +0000 UTCHaha this is for a series! But I will be doing a movie vote soon
Natalie Gold
2020-07-20 17:25:53 +0000 UTCFirefly, and Serenity, would be a good choice because it's a great show and it's, unfortunately, short with only the one season and a movie. I think you'd really enjoy it.
Sarlacc1979
2020-07-18 20:47:59 +0000 UTCTHIS! A short investment with great rewards. It would grow your fan base, and it’s got A LOT to react to. One season, one movie.
2020-07-18 17:59:15 +0000 UTCIf you return to the Star Wars well, you should complete the films before tackling The Mandalorian The Mandalorian. Moreover, following The Mandalorian, I highly recommend the animated Clone Wars and Rebels series. Not only did George Lucas himself influence these these productions but they're some of the best Star Wars content around. The live-action future of Star Wars will be spinning out of these animated shows. Here's a helpful timeline for you and a recommended viewing order (you already beat me to the punch with Spaceballs!): THE STAR WARS TIMELINE [BBY= Before Battle of Yavin or destruction of the Death Star, ABY= After Battle of Yavin] Episode I: The Phantom Menace (32BBY) Episode II: Attack of the Clones (22BBY) animated Clone Wars Micro-series (22BBY-19BBY) [Non-canon] animated Clone Wars TV series (22BBY-19BBY) Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (19BBY) Fallen Order video game (15BBY) Solo: A Star Wars Story (10BBY) animated Rebels TV series (5BBY-0BBY) Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (days to hours BBY) Episode IV: A New Hope (ends 0BBY) Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (3ABY) Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (4ABY) The Mandalorian TV series (9ABY) animated Resistance TV series (33.5ABY-35ABY) Episode VII: The Force Awakens (34ABY) Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (34ABY) Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (35ABY) My recommended viewing order is: Classic trilogy (4,5,6) SC-38 [re-imagining of Vader-Kenobi duel on YouTube; a MUST-SEE!!!] Prequel trilogy (1,2,3) Solo standalone film Rogue One standalone film Sequel trilogy (7,8,9) [soon to be made an alternate timeline] The Mandalorian live-action series Clone Wars animated Micro-series [non-canon but awesome] Clone Wars animated TV series [INCREDIBLE!!!] Rebels animated TV series [sequel series set 17 years later] Fallen Order video game Resistance animated TV series [optional] Spaceballs standalone film [Mel Brooks' classic parody]

2020-07-18 04:31:27 +0000 UTCFirefly (and Serenity) is right up your ally. I think you'd have a lot of fun watching it, and we'll have a lot of fun watching you watching it. Plus, I know you'll be singing along to the opening theme! :) The show is just 13 episodes, plus the movie as a capper, so it's easy for you to get through.
Alan Kobb
2020-07-18 03:26:33 +0000 UTCI'd agree how ever I think she should watch clone Wars first and then rebels. I think rebels gives away the ending of Clone Wars Season 7 as far as what happens, who lives and dies etc.
Joe
2020-07-17 19:38:33 +0000 UTCI would love to see you watch the 20 essential episodes of Clone Wars leading up to season 7 and then watch all of season. I think you would love it and love Ashoka! You could do like multiple episodes in one video to make it go along faster and that way the series wouldn't be as long as some others. I really want to see you react to the last 4 episodes of Season 7 but you have to watch at least the "essential episodes" just to get context.
Joe
2020-07-17 19:28:36 +0000 UTCI found it hard to decide between GOT and The Madalorian. I chose GOT because I feel you should see it before sooner rather than later and is a quite enjoyable series even with the ending feeling rushed. However, because Star Wars is still fresh in your mind perhaps The Mandalorian would be better.
NobleSon32
2020-07-17 17:01:35 +0000 UTCI'm a huge fan of John Wick, but given the puppy situation in the first movie, maybe not the best for Natalie...
wallace cady
2020-07-17 05:23:50 +0000 UTCNot necessarily the whole trilogy, but the first John Wick movie is a full throttle action movie where you root for a bud guy.

2020-07-16 20:14:26 +0000 UTChave you seen Forrest Gump before? it's an amazing movie and if you haven't seen it, i think , is definetely worth catching up on. have a nice day ;-)
Slowpoke Rodriguez
2020-07-16 17:41:30 +0000 UTCMandalorian first since Star Wars is fresh on your mind. (And don't be too hard on yourself on the misspelling, lol!) But if you haven't seen Game of Thrones....it is a must see. However, be prepared to binge watch, since I guarantee you'll be compelled to do so. If you get wrapped up and tense over Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, GoT takes it to a new level. Good luck if you decide not to react to all GoT episodes. I wouldn't know which ones to even recommend, since there's so much to react to! Also: avoid reading anything about the series online beforehand. If you haven't been spoiled on things already, it is a minefield out there of spoilers! Finally, if you are a reader, I would highly recommend reading the books first, since it will enhance your enjoyment of the series. Though that is a time commitment (they are long), though very worth it.
Nathan
2020-07-16 16:27:23 +0000 UTCHey Anthony! Maybe one day, but I have so much tv/film content to get through first.

2020-07-16 15:42:15 +0000 UTCThe anime fans have ruined so many channels for me
callum
2020-07-16 12:34:30 +0000 UTCYou ever think about doing game play reactions. Something narrative driven like the walking dead games are always a fun watch

2020-07-16 11:50:28 +0000 UTCIm hoping for Avatar, but whatever she ends up watching I hope she enjoys as much as we enjoy reacting to it!
My Toasty Toast
2020-07-16 10:10:29 +0000 UTCYou shouldn't skip Alien 3! It's a divisive film but tremendously underrated. It's brutal, has some extraordinary scares and concludes Ripley's arc nicely. Don't bother with the fourth film or the Ridley Scott prequel series beginning with Prometheus which is only good for Michael Fassbender.
Alex Vazquez
2020-07-16 05:13:36 +0000 UTCI'd rather her finish the Star Wars movies before watching The Mandalorian.
Shea Harris
2020-07-16 01:26:02 +0000 UTCThe Mandalorian is the only one thats perfect in both tone (for your reaction) and the medium length (for your format and editing) Its also arguably the most quality too!
Robert Boutchard
2020-07-15 23:11:47 +0000 UTC100% agree. Honestly I'd say not to waste Natalie's time with episode 7, 8, 9 and just do Mandalorian lol
Michael Lewis
2020-07-15 23:06:11 +0000 UTCI said for now Mandalorian and Firefly. Both are only currently one season. Natalie, Mandalorian is just lots of fun, while Firefly is much deeper and grittier with some very cool ideas on how the future could look. Also both are westerns set in space 😍
Michael Lewis
2020-07-15 23:05:04 +0000 UTCif firefly does end up getting picked i think it would be perfect for your channel. Its a single season series with 14 episodes and a feature film called serenity that you can react to after the series is done!
Judge Dreddpool
2020-07-15 22:42:09 +0000 UTCYeah, I think that would be overkill, and also expensive to follow along.
Troy B.
2020-07-15 22:14:48 +0000 UTCAs for Game of Thrones, I refuse to sit through that again even to see someone else's reaction, now that I know what I know about... that whole thing.
Troy B.
2020-07-15 22:13:59 +0000 UTCI think The Mandalorian is good while Star Wars is fresh in your memory, and it's, in my opinion, the best Star Wars thing in years.
Troy B.
2020-07-15 22:13:22 +0000 UTCAlthough I don't like the tv show Game of Thrones because I read the books, I would say it's the best out of the 5 in terms of potential for reaction
TinaKittenIsBae
2020-07-15 22:12:24 +0000 UTCI agree that you should perhaps mix up a series with occassional movies. I enjoy you and your reactions, but I'm not interested in GOT or into the whole Star Wars universe--i chose Firefly, but would also enjoy your reactions to Buffy or Avatar the Last Airbender.
2020-07-15 21:56:46 +0000 UTCIt's easy to misspell Mandalorian because he's sometimes know as Mando; as opposed to Manda which is quite feminine. It also might be a case of the Mandela Effect.
Reggie Clark
2020-07-15 21:13:04 +0000 UTCMr Monk in next poll, honestly you will enjoy this series
Caleb Harvey
2020-07-15 20:57:05 +0000 UTCHave to disagree with the LOST thing real quick. I totally hated it at first but after seeing other reactors watch it I started to slowly understand it more and more and have come to really cherish it. *Spoiler ish* - I think if you've lost someone it really makes a lot of sense and has a deep impact too.
RationallySassy
2020-07-15 20:51:13 +0000 UTCIf you do decide to watch one of the long running TV series, I recommend that you do it one season at a time and alternate with either 1 season of a different series or a stand-alone movie. No matter what series or movie you choose, there will be people in the audience who just don't care about that franchise, and this way they won't be left out for the next month or two of videos. To that end, I'm also hoping that you will be combining several TV show episodes into one reaction video so that one entire season only takes 2-6 reaction videos (depending on the length of each episode and number of episodes per season).
Adam Butt
2020-07-15 20:05:06 +0000 UTCDespite it being many episodes I would, really, really love to watch your reaction to every Game of Thrones episode!
Danishprince
2020-07-15 20:02:56 +0000 UTCI love u all, and my opinion is just my own, but can I say Please Don't choose GOT?
Erik Lundmark
2020-07-15 19:24:28 +0000 UTCHey Steven! I've already seen the 1st season of Stranger Things which is why it's not really on my list right now
Natalie Gold
2020-07-15 19:07:24 +0000 UTCYou might dig Buffy. You're such a genuine and cheerful person; that's what I enjoy about your reactions and videos. So it would be a kick seeing you react to fun campy action movies like: Speed, Point Break (1991), and Mr. & Mrs. Smith. If you have not seen Swingers, it would be a hoot seeing you react to that funness.
Nathan
2020-07-15 19:05:23 +0000 UTCThe Mandolin would fit your format best I believe. Also it's a great show. The Witcher is one you may want to consider as well if future polls.
2020-07-15 18:02:58 +0000 UTCOut of these Firefly but I'd love to see you react to Chernobyl and The Terror! I think short/miniseries are best for reactions.
2020-07-15 17:52:12 +0000 UTCAvatar would be my choice. There has been a strong demand for reactions for it since it came to Netflix the other month. Might be good to try seize the opportunity!
VProductions
2020-07-15 17:50:36 +0000 UTCI'd also add the other Star Wars series (Rebels and Clone Wars).
Nick Morgan
2020-07-15 17:29:49 +0000 UTCMandalorian or Game of Thrones. If you do watch Game of Thrones, even though it's long, I'd still like to see you react to every episode as a long-term project. I wouldn't watch reactions to any of the others on this list.
Allan Rumberger
2020-07-15 17:28:31 +0000 UTCOnce upon a time 😊

2020-07-15 17:23:05 +0000 UTCSeveral of these are just required, it seems. Just a matter of what's coming up sooner rather than later. Mandalorian (which I'm about to start watching myself soon) seems required, but shouldn't it be after the other Star Wars movies get their turn? I doubt there are spoilers, but it always seems best to me to go with release orders on things to get closer to the feeling that audiences had that were keeping up with it all. Also, I think it sounds like a good idea on paper to only react to the best episodes of those longer series, but that would be hard to do. GoT and Buffy both are filled with best episodes all the way through. Just a lower tier episode sprinkled in here and there. The worst thing about GoT is that the worst is probably the last episode or two where they just went off the rails and ruined all the great storytelling they had built up to that point. One of the worst endings to any series I can remember. Well, maybe Lost is way worse... Buffy has a huge build-up in the final season and doesn't dissappoint. Great ending. Firefly has no bad episode and builds up to a full budget movie as the ending. I wouldn't watch Avatar Airbender thingy if YOU paid US to come watch here on Patreon.
Robert Reichle
2020-07-15 17:21:20 +0000 UTCshe's not saying she wouldn't watch all of it...

2020-07-15 17:19:29 +0000 UTCI was really hoping for an oddball choice that every other channel hasn't already done.
2020-07-15 17:17:32 +0000 UTCIf you’re looking for short series then Mandalorian or Firefly are your best bet. I still think Stranger Things should be on this list. 3 seasons but only 25 episodes.
dainbramage7
2020-07-15 17:16:55 +0000 UTCIn would really recommend reacting to every episode from GOT. I would do it in the format where you film 1 season over the course of a few days. Release those back to back - then take a break between seasons so you can react to other stuff :) 👍 Lots of views would come in and i’m certain you’d enjoy it!
2020-07-15 17:14:25 +0000 UTCGotta say, I'm not at all a fan of that "good episodes only" thing... Nobody would agree on what the "good" episodes are, and honestly - for me at least - it would feel incomplete, which would make me less likely to want to watch any of the reactions. You do whatever works best for you though :)
Thomas Hansen
2020-07-15 17:11:51 +0000 UTCFirefly because a short one is best to start with.
Shea Harris
2020-07-15 17:11:19 +0000 UTCI would like to vote Mandalorian because I would love to watch it also, but since Disney + isn’t available in Sweden I can’t watch it and therefore not your reaction either...

2020-07-15 17:10:29 +0000 UTCPlease definitely continue the Star Wars films.

2020-07-15 17:10:19 +0000 UTCMeh. Some great reaction moments but a disappointing show.

2020-07-15 17:10:06 +0000 UTCThrones would be great, particularly given how emotionally invested you get. Your reactions would be very entertaining. Google NOTHING about the show for the internet is dark and full of spoilers! Also Avatar is one of the best shows made! The writing, characters, visuals, world and story are all excellent! Loads of fun with loads of emotion too!
John D Ruddy
2020-07-15 17:09:59 +0000 UTCThis is the BEST choice.

2020-07-15 17:09:15 +0000 UTCThis is a great list. I would also suggest the Anime Attack on Titan, it's pretty epic and you might like it. :)
2020-07-15 17:08:18 +0000 UTCAvatar or Mandalorian would be amazing choices so here's hoping! Anyways hopefully you can watch one after the other finishes :-)
