What series should I start after The Mandalorian?

Totally worth watching, but it's just so long. 144 episodes over seven seasons. Maybe alternating seasons with a lighter series when you get around to it to avoid fatigue.

Just here to support all the comments so far about being careful about the review order for Firefly if that wins the poll. In fact, to prevent any chance of misunderstanding, if Firefly is the winner why don't you post your proposed view order of the episodes here so we can confirm that they are correct for you? The episode titles don't spoil their content so I don't see any downside to doing that. It would be a crying shame if you spoiled the experience for yourself (and, by association, us as well!) with the wrong viewing order.

I'm going to echo what others have already said - if you watch Firefly, make sure to watch them in the correct order. IMDB lists them in the order they aired, which is out of order from how they were filmed and was a contributing factor in why the show was canceled. Hulu has them listed in the correct order to watch, aka the production order.

Agreed!! The first season starts a little slow, but then it just takes off and is one of the best shows on TV. So sad it ended. Still haven't watched the last 2 eps yet cuz I'm in denial and saving them, but I'll be watching them soon.

Natalie, don’t know if you saw it already, but I highly recommend the HBO mini-series Band of Brothers, which follows a company of Army paratroopers from basic training to the end of WW II. Having watched your reactions, it won’t be an easy watch, but it’s well worth it from a historic and filmmaking perspective. It was produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, has amazing authenticity (some details were changed as the source material is not entirely accurate) but it’s something I watch almost every year (and need tissues for in spots every time).

It has everything, drama, comedy, horror, fantasy, romance. Even though it’s not gonna win this time, I hope you keep suggesting it. Buffy is my favorite from this list. Easily. But it took a while to get off the ground and was super cheesy until part of the way into the 2nd season. So I’m recommending Firefly first. It benefited from the lessons Whedon learned on Buffy. It gets right into greatness early on. Firefly must be watched in production order, however, not airdate order. Fox shifted a mid-season episode up to be the premiere and it confused audiences by just dumping them into the universe then yanking them back to the beginning later.

I imagine you thought GoT would win but as of this comment it's falling behind Firefly. I think people are still too salty about how GoT ended. And there are about a million GoT reactions online. Firefly is good fun, it has a satisfying ending with the movie Serenity, and there are very few reactions of it. It's a good one for your channel. If you decide to watch Firefly, I have seen people get confused about the episode order because dumb Fox aired the show out of order, so here is the proper viewing order: "Serenity" (pilot), "The Train Job", "Bushwhacked", "Shindig", "Safe", "Our Mrs. Reynolds", "Jaynestown", "Out of Gas", "Ariel", "War Stories", "Trash", "The Message", "Heart of Gold", and "Objects in Space" ... then the movie "Serenity."

No, and I'm not sure why anyone would. I, in fact, would not ever watch a series for the first time on a reaction channel. I basically watch reactions to get a different perspective on series I like, but someone talking and interrupting a series I've never never seen before would not work for me. Not even Natalie, who has just about the most entertaining channel I've seen.

Firefly and Avatar are both top notch and are of much more manageable lengths than the other two. Game of Thrones is worth watching the first 4 seasons of (maybe 5 & 6 as well), after which it's all downhill until the last season which renders all the previous seasons mostly meaningless and makes it impossible to rewatch, so I have a hard time recommending it. No opinion of Buffy since I've only watched it sporadically.

This is tough. Firefly is a great series. It's also the shortest, so you can get it done quickly. Game of Thrones was a decade-defining series. The final season is a bit of a let down, but the others are better. You are sure to cry, scream, and rip out your hair. It's my favorite series. Also, Avatar the Last Airbender just really hits home because I grew up on that. It's such a sweet and well-made show. It's simpler and not as shocking, but an absolute delight to watch. And...I haven't watch Buffy, so I don't know

Buffy is probably the most enjoyable, some fine humour, some high drama and a lot of tears. Game of Thrones will have you screaming at the TV, just like the rest of us, during the final season, Firefly is very good too. Short and leaves you clammering for more, but fortunately you can watch the movie afterwards, which is equally good.

GOT is great, but it is well worth reading the books first if you are a reader. I'm not a huge fan of the series as there is too much unnecessary sex/nudity. It was also clear they rushed the ending and merged 3-4 seasons into the last 2 (they said as much). I don't think that was bad, but it hurt a lot of the character development. Firefly and Buffy are both Joss Whedon creations are both are great in their own way. Firefly is shorter and is more self-contained and has a fun arc. It is very "Star Warsy" in the Original Trilogy sense, in that it's a space western kind of like Flash-Gordon and the old spaghetti Westerns back in the 40s and 50s.

The only reason GoT doesn't win by an overwhelming majority is strictly due to the final season. But everything up until then is utterly phenomenal and I still recommend watching it. It's hard to put into words how good that show was. It was the heart of reactions on Youtube and why reaction channels became so popular. People who read the books would film their friend's and family's reaction to parts of the show since they knew what was coming, then channels like Blind Wave and The Normies came along and started recording reactions to episodes.

Firefly is short (only one season, since it got cancelled), so you can get through it easy. They made a film afterward, "Serenity", to wrap it up. Of these four, I'd say Firefly is probably the most well-written, with the most complex characters, at least given their air time.

Definitely Firefly. Great series, just a season's worth so it won't take too long to get through. Definitely watch the theatrical movie "Serenity" after watching the show(the two-hour pilot is also called "Serenity", just a heads up), it provides a nice amount of closure. And it will rip your heart out and stomp on it, in the best way possible. :)

If it were 2017 I would say Game of Thrones without question. Sadly those last two seasons completely drained any passion I had for that show. It went from my favorite piece of entertainment of all time to something I am unable to be energetic about. Avatar gets my vote.
