FIRST TIME WATCHING: A NATMARE on Elm Street
Added 2020-10-28 16:47:23 +0000 UTCHey guys!
Here is the final installation of the NATMARE series! This one was a great one to end on and ironically, I don't think it's going to give me that many nightmares haha. My list of spooky films has grown so much over the course of this month and I'm excited to see what next Halloween season brings! Of course, that's kinda far away...so we may just have to sprinkle in some scary movies before then. 👀
As always, please share your thoughts in the comments below and until the next one, 👻stay spooky!👻
APOLOGIES FOR THE AUDIO ECHO IN THIS ONE! My USB port may have been the culprit so hopefully this doesn't happen again!

2020-11-02 00:43:47 +0000 UTCSad that Natmare season is over, but glad I waited til Halloween to watch this one! I hope everyone has a safe, spooky, fun day/night! Can't wait to see what Miss Natalie has in store for us next!

2020-10-31 12:44:05 +0000 UTCLoved it. Haven't seen this one in a while. Love all the 80s cheese and camp as someone who grew up in the 80s. Can't wait for whatever you watch next.

2020-10-30 09:56:39 +0000 UTCI've died in my dreams too. Been impaled through the back with a spear. Been drowned at the base of a dam. Been thrown off a cliff and hit jagged rocks below (where I'd been decapitated and looked at my body from afar). Free fell from orbit and landed in a park where a stranger pulled me up out of the comic-style impression I made in the grass/earth. Have been in 'heaven' -- now that was an experience I'll, to my dying day (haha), never forget. The music. The Love. My heart felt like it was going to explode from all the Joy! Oh, and I've been disintegrated by a ground-zero nuke. Felt like a bunch of pins/needles all over my body.

2020-10-30 04:04:03 +0000 UTCAh the lighting - you'll have to grab some c-stands and flag it off haha!

2020-10-30 02:11:14 +0000 UTCThis was a fun rewatch! It's been years since I've watched it, and made me recall how scarring the portion of the scene in school was when Tina was in a body bag. That shit scared the crap out of me as a kid!! Haha! About dying in dreams though... Weirdly, I had many nightmares as a kid in which I died... Maybe it had something to do with my environment (gang-infested neighborhood, abuse in my home). They mostly went away after I moved out of that dangerous neighborhood at 13, but, not to get too deep here, they started to occur more often and intensified at times during and after my military service. I served in Iraq and Afghanistan, so serving in those two wars caused more vivid dreams that I died in. They've mostly stopped now, thankfully. But yeah... They can happen. Hope I wasn't too much of a downer haha Just felt like I'd share, cause it's an interesting topic, for sure.

2020-10-29 23:06:21 +0000 UTCAs soon as Wes Craven was mentioned I thought of "The Serpent and the Rainbow" and "Shocker".

2020-10-29 22:44:27 +0000 UTCi was probably like... 4? when I first saw this? that was back in like 94-95 and the trauma I had of not wanting to sleep for years lmao. my dad loved showing me horror films, my mother hated it, but it makes me immune to horror films now. I love seeing people watch this for the first time lol

2020-10-29 16:50:34 +0000 UTCLoved the reaction as always. This is just my opinion, but talking at length about bad lighting is probably as bad as having bad lighting. I've never learned anything about filming so honestly I don't think about it. If you had a gold light that you turned on right before you said Stay Golden that would make me laugh though

2020-10-29 14:09:45 +0000 UTCYou should watch the original Halloween next year if you haven't seen i; it's got the cheesy acting of this bit with a MUCH scarier bad guy imo. Great music too

2020-10-29 12:54:38 +0000 UTCYour reactions to A Nightmare On Elm Street were great fun to watch, and I'm looking forward to seeing your reactions to other movies as well as the rest of Firefly. And while Natmare Season might technically be over, I just want to point out that the 13th of November lands on a Friday. Which would be the perfect time for you to react to the 1980 original Friday The 13th. It'll be just after Spooky Season, so some people will still have their Halloween decorations up. Meaning that it's not entirely inappropriate to react to a scary movie then. Anyway, keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to your next reaction.

2020-10-29 05:21:16 +0000 UTCAbout a year ago for Halloween, a college friend and I got together to watch some of these movies, me for the first time for Friday the 13th, the 1931 Dracula, this and Halloween. This, by a mile, was my favorite of the lot. It was the concept that the most terrifying thing in the world is what you create in your own head. Great fun watching you react to Freddy, Johnny Depp and the miracle of how the human body can contain 80 gallons of blood. Kidding aside, strange you should mention it, but Heather Langencamp, who played Nancy, IS an actress from the soaps, so probably explains her acting. Thanks for the spooks and I appreciate your desire to do more before Halloween. But don’t worry - next year. Always next year. And don’t forget - Nightmare on Elm Street and Exorcist have SEQUELS!

2020-10-29 01:20:25 +0000 UTCThanks for the scary share, really great video. Your comments in the video about how people wake up when they die in dreams was interesting. I learned that we apparently used to dream primarily in black and white, and that color television changed the way we dream. with the advent of video games maybe we are all going to dream differently eventually. Instead of waking up when I die in a dream, I just re start at the start of my bad dream. What do you think changes how we dream?

2020-10-28 22:45:05 +0000 UTCYes, In the Mouth of Madness is definitely underrated and has a creepy atmosphere throughout. I had suggested "Christine", which is a Stephen King adaptation that was directed by Carpenter.

2020-10-28 21:39:59 +0000 UTC"There's so much blood." Just you wait til Depp gets it haha

2020-10-28 21:17:06 +0000 UTCYeah, it is very strange how that is still happening. Seemed to be an instant fix when the port was changed last time.

2020-10-28 20:09:14 +0000 UTCThis movie highlights the little-known fact that the human body contains 197 gallons of blood

2020-10-28 19:51:38 +0000 UTCGreat video Nat. I knew you'd be rolling your eyes at some of the acting. It was very low budget. They wouldn't have been able to afford you. Don't stress yourself out too much with the lighting. We can hear and see you, and that's all that matters. We learned 2 important lessons - Don't fall asleep AND, more importantly, don't ever lock your bathroom door. Stay Golden AND Spooky Nat.
Darryl Low
2020-10-28 19:39:20 +0000 UTCYeah, the "acting" in this is pretty distracting. Also, the random "echo of doom" is starting to affect your vimeo vids as well. Hopefully it was the usb port.

2020-10-28 18:19:12 +0000 UTCA Quiet Place came in second twice and is not a Halloween specific movie so maybe sometime soon. :-)

2020-10-28 16:57:14 +0000 UTCSo happy to see this up. For next spooky season, I recommend another Carpenter film - "In the Mouth of Madness". I also highly recommend the newly released "Color Out of Space" with Nicolas Cage.

2020-10-28 16:55:04 +0000 UTCAmazing practical effects in this film. Next year I vote for An American Werewolf in London.
