MERCH + Help me pick another Christmas movie!
Added 2020-11-29 03:28:23 +0000 UTCHey guys!
I know I haven't posted Home Alone yet, but I'm currently working on filming ahead for the time I'll be with family during the holidays. So help me decide which action film I should pick for this holiday season!🎄
Also, (for those who don't know) I have merch available until 12/3/2020! I figured everyone here has probably heard about it, but just in case you haven't, I'll post the link here:
https://www.bonfire.com/stay-golden-2/
The sale is limited and ends at 11:59pm on 12/3/2020 so make sure to check it out before then if you're interested.
Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend and staying golden!

If you haven't watched it yet watch K9 from1989 it isn't a Christmas film but it's definitely enjoyable

2020-12-06 17:20:44 +0000 UTCBabe! Not an Christmas movie per se but occurs during it and Christmas dinner is a plot point. Also, it's such a feelgood film featuring animals!

2020-12-05 04:08:24 +0000 UTCThese are both very fun movies, but not really Christmas in my opinion. I wanted to suggest you look into one that goes under the radar. "The Ref" starring Kevin Spacey, Judy Davis, and Dennis Leary from 1994. An R rated movie (language) that is funny and very Christmas.

2020-12-02 03:29:03 +0000 UTCDo Die Hard (again) now, save Lethal Weapon for the summer.

2020-12-01 16:59:04 +0000 UTCJoyeux noel (merry christmas) it's about the christmas truce in 1914 during ww1

2020-11-30 16:22:47 +0000 UTCDid you watch a different “Lethal Weapon” to the rest of us? It wasn’t set at a Christmas party, but it’s definitely set over the Christmas period. There’s literally a shootout at a Christmas tree lot, not to forget the decorations at Murtughs home!
Darren Withers
2020-11-30 14:09:42 +0000 UTCWhile Die Hard is the greatest Christmas story ever told (😁😉), I’ve got to vote for Lethal Weapon. Also Christmas themed, also awesome, and, in the words of Barney Stinson, “New is always better!” I’ve also got to add my voice to the list calling for “The Long Kiss Goodnight”, and “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”.

2020-11-30 13:30:06 +0000 UTCYour good Nat. Sometimes people get busy, and schedules get delayed. Hope you had a flippin sweet turkey day, stay golden gurl💙

2020-11-30 11:47:40 +0000 UTCSelfishly, my vote is Die Hard. But I’ve never seen Lethal Weapon either, one of those classics I just seem to have missed. Well, appears that is about to change. And hey, always Die Hard for another time. Somehow, and call me crazy, we’ll be doing this for years. No complaints, no regrets.

2020-11-30 03:51:39 +0000 UTCKiss Kiss Bang Bang is a great movie, it takes place during Christmas so Nat could watch it as a holiday movie! please nat, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang holiday movie it is a really amazing movie, it might even be the movie that got RDJr out of his slump after his issues with substance's, so glad we get to see his movies. I did some digging and I was wrong his first movie after his issues was "The Singing Detective" and apparently Mel Gibson payed to underwrite him personally because no one trusted him yet. That sounds like a crazy story.
Baron
2020-11-29 20:28:10 +0000 UTCOf those two, it's gotta be Letha Weapon since you haven't seen it. It is a really good movie.
John
2020-11-29 19:47:14 +0000 UTCDie Hard wins hands down if it's a first reaction, but otherwise a first reaction is always more interesting. Lethal Weapon is good, but I have to suggest Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, especially since you're doing Marvel movies and it's a great Robert Downey Jr.

2020-11-29 19:00:48 +0000 UTCI plan on posting a video today and I know that this month got a little bit away from me. I am sorry for that. But to say it’s decreased every month is just inaccurate. My goal is to do two videos a week and in October and September I did that (8 videos total). I tend to over commit myself to other projects and things got away from me this month so that’s something I’m working on. I completely agree with that this month was a little sparse. But to say it’s been happening over the course of months is just wrong. I’m my own editor and I am trying. This poll is so I can prepare to have content available in advance for the holidays

2020-11-29 18:45:15 +0000 UTCAlthough this was a little more blunt than I would have said it, I also have noticed the content has drastically reduced this month.
Armchair Wizard
2020-11-29 18:34:22 +0000 UTCGremlins.

2020-11-29 17:37:27 +0000 UTCAny chance you could, I don't know, actually post a new video. Every month you seem to post less and less.

2020-11-29 16:04:15 +0000 UTCEveryone always forgets the best Christmas movie of all, the 1991 Addams Family, with Angelica Houston, Christina Ricci, and Raul Julia.
Emptysea93
2020-11-29 13:37:39 +0000 UTCLethal weapon isn't a Christmas movie like Die Hard is but not everything during the holiday season has to be holiday related
The Golgothan
2020-11-29 12:24:43 +0000 UTCBoth are good movies but I'd rather watch you react to one you haven't seen before. Someone before me suggested Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I'll second that as a future movie for you to react to but I don't recall it being a Christmas movie. Gremlins is a dark/funny Christmas movie that would be good to react to.
JayF
2020-11-29 10:11:39 +0000 UTCSorry, had to vote for "Lethal Weapon", as much as I'd love to see you watching "Die Hard". ^^
Thomas Knip
2020-11-29 09:53:49 +0000 UTC2 80's classics. Both brilliant. It's a win-win whichever way it goes, But going for Lethal Weapon as I'd love to see Nat watching something she hasn't seen. Yippee-Ki-Yay, you're never too old for this sshhh......... :)
Darryl Low
2020-11-29 09:28:49 +0000 UTCDie Hard is a No-Brainer, but Lethal Weapon is fun too. Honorable mention goes to The Long Kiss Goodnight...Nat, you would really like it, I'm sure..strong female lead and Samuel L. Jackson. It's a can't lose situation. Put that on your list please!

2020-11-29 07:17:24 +0000 UTC@C Biggs - Haha thanks, I tried ;)
Dan
2020-11-29 06:48:07 +0000 UTCI expect many of those who follow you love movies and love sharing their favorites with those who haven't seen them for the enjoyment of witnessing other's experience things we love for the first time. Even though you demonstrated that there is value and discovery in your re-watches 1st time views are preferred.
Taff Lewis
2020-11-29 06:20:05 +0000 UTCI picked Lethal Weapon over Die Hard even though I’d say Die Hard is a slightly better film. Lethal Weapon is a bit testosterone soaked, but Gibson and Glover’s chemistry together is delightful. It will be fun watching it vicariously for the first time with Nat.
Chaz Mannington
2020-11-29 06:03:58 +0000 UTC@Dan...haha that's a wide net you're casting. But to each his own. If it feels like Christmas to you, go for it.
Cruisin for a Perusin
2020-11-29 05:51:23 +0000 UTCOn the one hand, I much prefer Die Hard to watch myself. But on the other, it might be better for a reaction to pick a movie that you have not seen. Seems like a no-lose proposition and I am good with whatever gets selected.
darby72
2020-11-29 05:44:59 +0000 UTC@C Biggs - Die Hard doesn't have a holidayish, feel good theme about doing good deeds? If John McClane hadn't been born, all the lives he's affected would have suffered, too. And he even got over his humbug attitude and put a Christmas hat on a dead guy, and then later reconciled with his wife. The importance of learning about reconciliation and acceptance are common holiday themes!
Dan
2020-11-29 05:21:38 +0000 UTCYeah, that was an overlooked Mel Gibson movie that flopped at the Box office but actually was better than people gave it credit for. It wasn't a great movie but it had enough moments to make it an interesting thriller. I think Ransom is definitely a movie that should be reacted to at some point as that was one of Mel Gibson's strongest performances as well and good acting from the supporting cast which includes Rene Russo and Gary Sinise from Forrest Gump and CSI: New York.
Justin S.
2020-11-29 05:15:34 +0000 UTCYeah I've seen articles arguing It's a Wonderful Life isn't a Christmas movie either. However it does have a holidayish, feel good theme about doing good deeds. Whereas Die Hard is about action and guns
Cruisin for a Perusin
2020-11-29 05:06:03 +0000 UTCI've always preferred Die Hard, even more so now knowing what a creep Mel Gibson is. Die Hard for a third time all the way.
8bitAndy
2020-11-29 04:56:56 +0000 UTCI agree Chaz. A few Christmas puns doesn't make it about Christmas. The christmas party was just a plot device. It could have been any type of party. It was an action/heist movie. But a good one
Cruisin for a Perusin
2020-11-29 04:51:41 +0000 UTCIf "It's a Wonderful Life" is a Christmas movie, then "Die Hard" is a Christmas movie.
8bitAndy
2020-11-29 04:49:39 +0000 UTCMaybe revisit DIE HARD and follow it up with a first time viewing of DIE HARD 2 which also takes place on Christmas Eve.
Jack the Narrator
2020-11-29 04:48:25 +0000 UTCYeah, Die Hard has kind of a weird trajectory where the first is easily the best, but I'd personally put With a Vengeance (the third one) as second best and probably Live Free or Die Hard (the fourth one) as third best. I've seen the second one like six or seven times and all I remember are it's Christmas again, there's an airport, and a spoiler I won't say. The first one I can basically describe scene by scene and quote most of, and Jeremy Irons and Sam Jackson are way to fun in the third movie for me not to like it a lot.
Friendly Trumpet
2020-11-29 04:47:12 +0000 UTCOne of Mel Gibson's best performances. Also Patrick Stewart plays a great villain in it.
Jack the Narrator
2020-11-29 04:44:38 +0000 UTCNot as a Christmas movie, but I agree.

2020-11-29 04:30:16 +0000 UTCOh man I was hoping you would watch lethal weapon for one of your Natmas reactions. So happy to see it's winning on your poll 😀 I grew up watching the lethal weapon films...probably shouldn't have been allowed to watch it as a 10 year old, but parents didn't really care about rating back in the 80's 😂
Ronny Boss
2020-11-29 04:18:30 +0000 UTCGot to go with the movie/series you have not seen yet, although Die Hard is a more popular Christmas movie. The Lethal Weapon series are some of the best, if not the best buddy cop movies. You can also react to Die Hard 2 which also takes place during the Christmas season. The Long Kiss Goodnight is one of my favorite action pictures and takes place during the Christmas season, which could be a reaction for next year or sometime randomly. Samuel L. Jackson (who plays Nick Fury in the MCU) had said it was one of his favorite roles.
Justin S.
2020-11-29 04:14:49 +0000 UTCI actually though Lethal Weapon 4 was better than 3, so I think they're all worth seeing but the first two are the best. Die Hard 5 is the one that was a major dud that really could be skipped by even the biggest fans of that series.

2020-11-29 03:59:43 +0000 UTCI think Lethal Weapon and Die Hard are both outstanding as trilogies. But once you get past number three for both they don’t age very well.
Christian Rennie
2020-11-29 03:55:56 +0000 UTCDie Hard is the greatest Christmas movie ever. But since you've seen it twice, may as well go with Lethal Weapon.
Dan Halstead
2020-11-29 03:45:50 +0000 UTCBesides all of the action going on, there were parts of the Lethal Weapon movie that were quite funny. Mel Gibson acted like he was crazy but not in a good way.

2020-11-29 03:42:55 +0000 UTCBoo, Sir! Booo!
Dan
2020-11-29 03:40:13 +0000 UTCI know it defeats the purpose of the poll but I voted for both because you can't go wrong with these movies and I wanted to reward your taste in suggesting these two ;)
Dan
2020-11-29 03:38:06 +0000 UTCDie Hard is a great movie. It is not, however, a Christmas movie in my opinion. Can of worms has officially been opened

2020-11-29 03:37:54 +0000 UTCAlmost done with Firefly...then on to Serenity! 🙌🏽
Daniel Restaro
2020-11-29 03:36:41 +0000 UTCI personally prefer Die Hard but since you've seen it lethal weapon all the way. " I'm getting to old for this shit." Will stick with you for life!😁
MrTiddyo
2020-11-29 03:36:12 +0000 UTCGremlins and Batman Returns (if you’ve already seen Batman ‘89) are another couple great non-traditional Christmas movies. But between the two, I feel there’s less controversy around whether or not Lethal Weapon is a Christmas movie than Die Hard, and I think you’ll love Lethal Weapon, so that’s my vote. Cheers, Nat!
Andy Jordan
2020-11-29 03:36:02 +0000 UTCThe Lethal Weapon series is one of my absolute favourites! Can't wait to see Nat's reaction to both extremes of Riggs.
Seefah
2020-11-29 03:35:51 +0000 UTCBoth are great but Die Hard is more focused on the holiday event, whereas Lethal Weapon occurs near the holiday but could have been anytime between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
