Here is my reaction to Episode 11, TRASH! I thoroughly enjoyed this episode and hope you enjoy my reaction. So sad we only have three left after this, but I must admit that I'm excited to check out Serenity.

2021-06-08 01:57:05 +0000 UTCNatalie-- You can find a translation of all of the Chinese in the Firefly Database on Fandom. Inara says "Idiots, all of you" for their willingness to listen to Saffron. Kinda what you said. You really would get a kick out of reading this. They use Chinese to hide some of the dirty words, like when Mal says Holy testicle... :) Strange that you're not allowed to say that on TV in English, but no problem in Chinese. ;)

When she said no I'd turn to someone else and start talking. Only for a second tho (literally) cuz we're good family. She and my brother did fiiiinally watch it and voila, new fans.

2020-12-04 06:44:35 +0000 UTCSo many things going on here. First, at least four seasons of Game of Thrones I looked away with headphones on during the pre-show recaps and this is why. I think that character's reveal would have been better. I never noticed before that the guy owns a phone booth! On to Yolanda... I laughed more at "Who in the damn galaxy ain't!" and it's the first time I noticed Mal called her YoSaffBridge, lol. I think Mal is right on that guy being the one she wanted to think well of her. She played it off but I'm believing it. Why can't being naked be part of a good plan? :) SR-71? (airplane nerd thing) Now I just have to wait for Planes Trains and Automobiles to record on the PVR so I can watch that one. (Edit: there are websites out there that translate every Chinese phrase they use in the show. Totally worth the 5-10 minutes I spent there. But maybe wait until after Ep14 or the movie. I don't think anything gets spoiled but why take chances)

2020-12-04 01:06:46 +0000 UTCI never got to watch Firefly during it's TV run. A friend loaned me the DVD set telling me that I "had" to watch. I decided to watch one episode on a Friday night. At around 2:00 AM I finally looked up. The next morning it was cold and raining out, so I jumped right out of bed and watched the remaining 10 hours non-stop. My very first binge! Still, after watching it solo years ago, it is a joy to watch it again along with Natalie. You make it like I'm watching for the first time!
