Oh come on, Jon, you'll get over this first disappointment of your young privileged life.

Tommy Ross

Ned should've listened to Littlefinger lol that would have been his best outcome

Jenny Tolls

I am really missing the quality of the openings and the little chat about the episodes. Also it was a ton easier to link up with the show/ movie when you used to do the headnod when you start playing the content. I really hope this isn't the trend of the content we are getting here on Patreon. I feel like I am complaining alot lately and I really don't mean anything by it, I just need to express my thoughts. I love watching your videos, its part of my nightly routine.

You asked if Grand Maester Pycelle is the herbologist. He's that and more. The Maesters are the scholars, healers and scientists of Westeros. Based out of the Citidel in Oldtown, just about every major house in Westeros has at least one. You can recognize them by the chains they wear around their necks. Each link in the chain is made of different metals and was made by the maester after he has gained expertise in a field of study. Gold for economics, iron for ravenry, silver for medicine, etc. The maester who serves the king directly is called the Grand Maester. In most castles the Maester manages the ravens and sends the lord's coorespondance. (rMail) Pycelle is the Grand Maester and has served since the Mad King. Maester Aemon serves Castle Black and may be the oldest maester in Westeros. Maester Luwin is the kind maester in Winterfell serving the Starks. The Dothraki and Valyrian languages were created for the show by a linguist named David Peterson. The Dothraki don't have a word for ships or boats or ocean, but the word for horse is also the word for something that one rides, so a wooden horse is a ship. They don't have a word for ocean or sea or salt, but they know that drinking the water will kill you, so the sea becomes "poison water".

no one ....... natalie : i want to hear about Jons uncle and his journey

Victor Radoi

Yes Little finger pays them. He's the Master of Coin

Coojw

They are the Klingons of this universe.

Ortizmo2000

Thanks Alan!!

Natalie Gold

Of course. It really helped me a ton, I hope it helps you too! I’m really enjoying your reactions. Thanks for enjoying this awesome show with us!

Miss Timi Fantastico

Omg thank you!! I’ve been looking for something like this!!

Natalie Gold

Hey Natalie! I had the same trouble keeping names straight. Has anyone pointed out the Viewers guide that HBO created? It's a website designed to avoid spoilers, that gives a little breakdown of each episode and then lists all of the characters that were in it. You can search for their name of click on their picture and it will give you a little reminder who they were. It was really helpful and improved my viewing experience! Here is a link to this episode. http://viewers-guide.hbo.com/game-of-thrones/season-1/episode-7 If you would feel safer searching yourself just look up HBO GOT Viewers guide and make sure you pick the right episode to avoid spoilers!

Miss Timi Fantastico

Been loving the reactions, but watching a sex scene with Nat is like watching one with my mom

Chaz Mannington

Dig the hat *snap,snap,snap*

Joe Blankenship

Hey Gandalf!

Ortizmo2000

"the Dothraki kill in really creative and gruesome ways"..... You have them down pat.

I'd forgotten just how early in the show Littlefinger reveals his betrayal. It felt further along when I saw it in realtime when season one aired. =D Some things that are confusing, were confusing to people when the show first aired, too, particularly those of us who hadn't read the book(s). So while some "background information" is available without spoilers (I think), most of it is eventually spelled out to some degree in later episodes (more or less). Also, I agree with everyone about the hat.

Troy B.

Love the hat!

Matthew Shaver

True but I think the littlefinger one was pretty important, it was very revealing of his character. One of the few times in the show where hes being 100% honest

Darnell Dickerson

She's confusing Alliser Thorne, the A-hole giving Jon Snow a hard time with Jeor Mormont the Lord Commander.

Matthew King

You think the Lord Commander is an asshole? HUH??

Derik Knutson

Honestly I don't feel the gratuitous sex scenes really add that much to the show, but I think it was for shock value to generate word of mouth when the show started, but it falls in line with my favorite description of GoT. It's the "Three S's" Swords, Sex, and Sorcery. The calling cards of the show and in order of their abundance.

BJ Stephens

You have no idea.

swoop_13-37

Almost everything in this show is foreshadowed, really have to pay attention to catch the clues, take fore instance the last episode where everyone seems to be talking about hair colors, then finally in the end that's how ned figures out who joffreys father really is. That's probably one of the most overt foreshadowing of the whole show.

Bubba Fett

NO SPOILERS. I swear by the Old Gods and the New. First, that's a great hat, Natalie. Yes, it's Tywin, and he's not just gutting any animal. It's a stag, the symbol of House Baratheon. Not that there's any hidden meaning in that, of course. Ancient history - Tywin is still angry that Jaime is in the Kingsguard. Being in the Kingsguard is something that every boy dreams of, but it comes with an oath to never marry or own property. Tywin's house and title would have gone to Jaime, but now by law it is supposed to go to Tyrion, who he hates. This was never Tywin's idea. Years ago, Tywin made the Mad King angry, and in retribution, the Mad King appointed Jaime to the King's Guard to spite Tywin. On the other hand, Jaime loved the idea. When his sister Cersei came to King's Landing, he loved it more because it kept them close together. Littlefinger has been in love with Catelyn since childhood. He spent his teen years being raised by her father as a squire. She was betrothed to Ned's eldest brother, Brandon. 17 years ago, Brandon and his father were murdered by the Mad King in an act that started Robert's Rebellion, so instead od Brandon, Ned married Catelyn. You have confused two old men. Lord Aliser Thorne is the angry master-at-arms of Castle Black who trains the recruits. He hates the Starks because he fought on the side of the Mad King 17 years ago during the rebellion and was sent to the wall as punishment. He brought his bitterness to the wall. The Lord Commander is Jeor Mormont. He is a Northerner who fought alongside Ned Stark in the war. He trusts the Starks. Jorah's last name is Mormont. He is Jeor's son. He was working for Varys, the Spider as a spy, but when he saw the attempt on Dany's life, he switched sides.

Alan Kobb

Good... bad... Just people with their experiences and motivations.

Luis Torrefranca

And to further clarify: Lord Stannis is the elder brother of Renly and Robert. We haven't seen him in person, because he's off in another castle. But Eddard wrote a letter to be delivered to him, and only him, by one of his own personal guards.

Henkan

I do believe you are hooked on the show. I can tell - you've got that enthusiasm. It's like heroin. I've given up months for this one...

Paul King

Lord Renly is the late King Robert's younger brother. The dude that suggested they capture Joffrey while he would take the throne instead. When Robert died, Varys (the Spider) and Littlefinger told Eddard that Renly and Loras (his lover, the handsome dude from the tourney) fled south in haste.

Henkan

we sure are powering through these episodes feels like only yesterday we were on eps1 youre definitely getting more used to the names now and your facial expressions are just great :) seen this show a bunch of times but im enjoying it probably more so watching along with you nattie so ty for just being you :) on to episode 8 we go as always stay golden 💛

Ian

The girl taunting Theon (Greyjoy) is Osha. Another badass. As far as paying for the Gold Cloaks, Littlefinger is the Master of Coin, the treasurer, he is responsible for finances.

Paul C

The best GoT reaction yet in my opinion. You were so much more focused than the last episodes which made me super happy. As far as your need of "a refresher" is concerned. I would be more than happy to create some online document where I could simplify some things that you already know or can know. I have seen the show a few times already and I know what should be important without spoiling it. I also absolutely hate spoilers. Also I have seen all your GoT reactions in 2 hours or so after the upload and I am planning on continuing this tradition which means that I am always up to date with you.

Jakub C

Dodgson! We've got Dodgson here! See nobody cares. Nice hat.

MotoDork

The other thing I love about the show, everyone has a chance to save themselves from their fate. They can chose to go a different road, walk away from their predicament. Most pick the wrong option. For those playing the Game of Thrones, as Cercei said, either you win or you die . . . .

Tranquil_Gnome

This is actually my first time watching this show. These cliffhangers are killing me.

Andrew T

I love in this show that everyone in the show has faults. No one is prefect. One of Ned's faults is that he is too honorable. Warning Cercei was one of his biggest mistakes. He also believes people at their word instead of looking deeper, looking for other motivations. Also the show show's that everyone has their good traits too. Cercei is devoted to her kids and family. I also appreciate that her whole life people underestimated her. She could have been amazing for the Seven Kingdoms if cared for the greater good instead of just her own kin.

Tranquil_Gnome

Just so you're aware, the Commander of the Night's Watch is a different man than the asshole who told them that they'd die like flies. The Commander is a good man. Ser Allyster, is not.

Kelsey Roberts

And here we go for the beginning of the fun! Excellent reaction, your emotional eyes at the end is so powerful, I can't wait for the next step! Stay Golden!

Calo Grsf

The man traveling with Daenarys is named Jorah Mormont and he was indeed working with Varys (The Spider) to spy on Daenarys and her brother in exchange for a Royal Pardon so that he could go home. He was meant to have let the merchant poison and kill her but he had a change of heart after getting to know her so he decided to not to go through with it :)

Danishprince

I think you are mixing up Lord Alisser and Lord Commander Mormont. Lord Alisser is the asshole who was bullying Sam and John.

TrackHoodie

First thought was Indiana Natalie. haha looks amazing Nat.

Curaitis

Regarding that littlefinger and ned stark brother's scene., Catelyn was originally engaged to Ned starks Oldest brother, Brandon Stark. Brandon Stark was killed alongside his father in King landings by danaerys dad, the mad king. This was one of the turning events that started robert rebellion that resulted in Robert becoming king.

TrackHoodie

They talked about this in earlier episodes: Cat was engaged to Ned's brother, they were in love, but Ned's brother and father were both burned alive by the Mad King so Cat and Ned married pretty much for political reasons. They love each other now but they didn't at first.

BNJ

Got my copy downloaded. And I'm planning on watching this this evening. 😊 I haven't looked at any spoilers for the series, but when I was looking at a cast member that's in a movie that I was watching I did notice that each season is 10 episodes. So we're almost done with season one. Looking forward to watching this reaction tonight. Love the hat that you're wearing, by the way. 😊Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Randee Carreno

I've heard of cat in the hat now we have Nat in the hat also 😊 looking forward to another golden reaction after work 💛

Ian

The hat looks abasolutely incredible!

Danishprince

Let the Games begin. Thanks Nat. Love your hat 💛 Most dogs bring back a squirrel. ha ha Ghost isn't like most dogs 😀
