but we all know he will never defeat the spear guy (we all know who he is) from where marcel was shipped off to

Guns

could be the Viper....his reputation is known throughout the 7 Kingdoms

Guy-on-Couch

About the 3 people that Jamie said would have a chance against him. It would have to be 3 people he has seen fight before. More than likely he was talking about the Clegane brothers (The Mountain and the Hound) and Ser Barriston Selmy.

Andrew Clifton

Ugh love that music at the end. Such a good soundtrack for this show.

Agreed. And it happens constantly. It's the equivalent of walking around calling someone 'Chieftain' or 'Queen' as if that were their first name.

Ellis Hugh

What is the Crag? It is a castle in The Westerlands, which is where the Lannisters reign. It is the home of House Westerling. In the show it is a minor detail, but in the books, House Westerling plays a major role in the war. Jaqen H'ghar comes from the Free City of Lorath, north of the continent of Essos. In ancient times, the worship of the people of Lorath taught self-denial. This extended to the language where it was sinful to speak of oneself or others directly, so their language developed exclusively using pronouns like "a man" or "a woman". While Lorathi have names, it is considered rude to call oneself by your name, so "A man is Jaqen H'ghar."

No. Stannis was on Dragonstone not as an insult, but as an outright punishment. During Robert's Rebellion, when the news that Aerys' heir Rhaegar had died on The Trident reached the king, he sent the Queen to Dragonstone along with his surviving son Viserys to protect them. The Queen was pregnant with Daenerys at the time. After Robert took King's Landing, he ordered Stannis to build a fleet to take Dragonstone and kill the children to free up his uncontested line to the throne. The day that Dany was born, her mother died in childbirth and a huge storm destroyed the Targaryen fleet in the Dragonstone port, leaving the way open for Stannis, but before he got there, some loyal retainers got the two children on a remaining undamaged ship and smuggled them to Braavos. Stannis got the castle without a fight, but not the children, which were Robert's real target. The only value to Dragonstone is it's location in the middle of the Sea. It's very easily defended, and since it was the ancesteral home of the Targaryens, it meant a lot to them, but it was otherwise useless. Castles cost a lot to keep up, and that money comes from taxes to the people living around them. Dragonstone only has a few fishing villiages, so it brings in little income. Robert was so disgusted at Stannis' blunder that he told him to hold Dragonstone, basically leaving hin in the middle of the Narrow Sea on a small island with no influence, while their younger brother got the much more coveted and profitable Storm's End and a position on the Small Council. Stannis was punished for not killing two young children, and King Robert spent years trying to find a way to kill them across the sea.

Personal pet peeve. Pop culture referring to Daenerys as Khaleesi. Her name is Daenerys, she is a khaleesi (queen). It’s something that has bothered me for years, lol.

Cole Jennett

Quick note on Robert and Stannis. When Robert gave Storm’s End to Renly instead of Stannis he didn’t actually mean it as an insult. The heir to the throne traditionally lived on Dragonstone, so after the rebellion when Robert didn’t have any kids he gave it to his heir at the time, which was Stannis.

Henri

I hope you picked up on one of my favorite things about Stannis. He doesn't care at all about social class. The other lords look down upon "The Onion Knight" for his lower class, but Stannis just sees a smart man who would be a good advisor to him.

Kevin Anand

You need to check out youtube, key of awesome, payphone game of thrones. It's appropriate to where you are in the series and is spectacular

Christopher Robles

During the love scene between Rob and Talisa - its a tiny thing but its a beautiful thing that is so often neglected... she gives a little laugh. She shows joy. Not just raw need or animalistic urge, she's in love and she feels joy in her heart at the chance to express it. Just a beautiful moment, blink and you'll miss it.

Ellis Hugh

This isn't about this episode, I just wanted to give you a heads-up that there are some major spoilers in the YouTube comments of your S2 - part one video.

Troy B.

I don't think Stannis was insulting Sir Davos or his father. He was commenting how far he has risen from his birth. A modern day equivalent would be like "You're the first person who grew up in the projects to become vice president." Also the three people Sir Jaime mentions who could "maybe" beat him in a fight- not sure who the third would be but the first two are Sir Barristan Selmy and the Mountain. This is of course just Sir Jaime's opinion.

My_Cousin_Mose

thats the cross over episode when oberyn martell appears

Ben Gilshenan

I believe that was Stannis' dry way of saying "you are my best buddy and I love you" 😂

Qhorin Halfhand tells John that a Crow inside the ranks of the wildlings would be worth more than 100 crows outside. John obviously says they wont trust him. Qhorin says something along the lines of the will if you do what needs to be done then proceeds to berate then attack him. This might be important later. Edit: Love your reactions, lets me relive watching the show for the first time.

Valiant Thorr

A man cannot wait to see a girls reaction to the next two episodes

Kevin Stout l

on a side note, can we just appreciated the brienne actor had to get into a small boat, at the side of a slippery muddy river wearing a full suit of armor, what a boss

Matt Camburn

3 episodes a week is making me want to binge ahead too. You could always livestream if you wanted to binge watch a show 3 or 4 eps at a time.

Joe Blankenship

Finally getting around to watching this reaction after a busy day. LOL! You're reactions are always the highlight of my day. 😊 I'm looking forward to seeing how this season ends, and season 3 begins next week A big CONGRATULATIONS on reaching 3,000+ patrons. 🎉🎊 Have a great rest of the day! Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

It's not the easiest thing to spot but Sam's teeth have always been really bad. It would make sense if more characters had bad teeth in this time period but Sam seems to be the only one they gave brown teeth.

My_Cousin_Mose

Are you also subscribed to ur weirdo friend Cass? I feel like we’ve talked before, I think about the ASOIAF books.

Jai Nelson

Now that I am rewatching the series one by one, I notice a lot of things, like how they manipulate you into emotions using music. Like the single violin at the end that makes you sad, even though nothing is happening on screen.

Really good reaction nat. jaqen h'ghar is how you say a total badass arya was so clever to name him as the third name it worked out perfect for her 🙂 love how briene takes no crap from Jaime I get the impression she's been trash talked most of her adult life so water off a ducks back , only 2 episodes to go this season wow its flying by. personality I'm loving 2 or 3 episodes per week it paces it perfect imo so thankyou as always Nat until the next one stay golden 💛

Ian

We all have the urge to binch watch... I understand it is smarter to space publications. But oh boy it is hard to wait for the next NatGoT... It's almost as painful as when it was first aired. At least there aren't season hiatus nor in between waiting... For 2 years one time!!! At least it was faster than waiting for the books. Although they might had to... I completely derailed the theme of the post. If a girl wants to binge, a horde of followers would too...

Valar Dohaeris

Hope you’re feeling better Calo and that tomorrow’s a better day!

Natalie Gold

This week! We just took a week break for my editor to catch up. May or not maintain that between seasons, but that will depend on his workload

Natalie Gold

From what Nat said in her reaction, I'm pretty sure she noticed that.

Darryl Low

It is a good idea to pay attention to the events, as even some that seem irrelevant to the story, actually are. With some becoming key plot points in later episodes as far as a season or two away. As a side note, I can't wait for Nat's reaction when Prince Martell shows up.

Paul C

The series took the name of the first book in the series, The Game of Thrones. A strong name. A good summation of the book series. One of the themes of the TV series: What it means to be a good leader. What makes a good leader. Some other themes are (1) family, (2) perceptions of people vs who they really are, and (3) the things we do for love, honor, ambition. The book series is called the Song of Ice and Fire. More poetic and mysterious. That would not have worked for the TV show for sure.

Tranquil_Gnome

You got that wrong, Natalie, but then again, so did Cersei. The prisoner that Cersei brought in to Tyrion was no Shea. It was Roz, the prostitute who came from Winterfell to work for Littlefinger.

Alan Kobb

Can't believe there's only 2 show left in this season. Brienne definitely should have gagged Jamie. I can just see them boating down the river, and Jamie going "Are we there yet?" all the way haha The moment between Tyrion and Shae was really a beautiful one. Thanks for a great week of Thrones reactions Nat 💛

Darryl Low

Thank you Nat for your reaction today, it brightened up my day which wasn't really so good 😌 I hope your day is fine! Be safe and stay golden! 💛

Calo Grsf

So when will the edited versions be back on YT? did you wait to finish s2?

IzzO

One chose duty over love.... The other chose love over duty.... 😔

Daniel Restaro

I love how fast you're going through the series. I feel like this is overall a great format for coming series reactions, instead of the episode-by-episode style most reactors use. Great idea :)

Axel Dietze

Perfect timing Nat literally just booted up and wham! bills can wait an hr now 😀 so looking forward to this got My doughnuts and a drink so all set 💛🐺
