FIRST TIME WATCHING: Black Panther!!

Comments

How am I supposed to watch this along side my copy any tips?

Ok, so, first thing to say about Black Panther. I just noticed, there's a full commentary track by the director, in the "extras" section of Disney +. Really the Extras tabs are absolute treasure troves of extra things and deleted scenes. There's also a 21 minute "From Page to Screen" roundtable. And a 7 minute "Get to know the women of Wakanda" video. So if you're into extra stuff, check it out. So as for the Black Panther, I can't say I've read much about him. I know I've read Avenger's books where he was on the team, but he never really stood out to me at the time, all those years ago. I mostly knew him as the guy that Storm married. Storm from the X-Men dated a few people, but ended up marrying T'Challa, which was weird for me since I really liked her with Forge. Forge is another mutant who has the power to build anything. He had a really high tech house. The thing about the relationship I liked, was they got together at a time when Storm had lost her powers, and, he really didn't have any either, in his day to day life. I mean, yes being able to build is a power, and he was trying to get her powers back. But yeah, they were together for a few decades. Then the Black Panther thing happened, and yeah. Awesome stuff. It's heartbreaking that we'll never see a big screen wedding, because fuck. That would have been nice, a friggin superhero royal wedding. https://worldofblackheroes.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/41284_128541777191714_107854725927086_152817_3000275_n.jpg https://worldofblackheroes.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/41284_128541773858381_107854725927086_152816_2757565_n.jpg https://womenwriteaboutcomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/blackpanther18.jpg https://womenwriteaboutcomics.com/2018/02/the-wedding-issue-storm-and-black-panther/ Anyway, I also know him as the guy who's enemy was a massive Gorilla. Sort of. https://www.writeups.org/wp-content/uploads/Man-Ape-Black-Panther-Marvel-Comics-Mbaku-h0.jpg Black Panther though, has been around since 1966. That's longer than a LOT of heroes. https://www.history.com/news/the-real-history-behind-the-black-panther Sorry this one was mostly links, but they're pretty good ones I think.

Cory Silver

A fun fact with the casino fight scene. Its all done in one take. Longest single action sequence to date

Persnickity

I don't think that your concerns about Wakanda revealing its technology are really warranted. You have to remember this is happening in a world where Iron Man exists, aliens invaded New York from a portal in the sky, and a evil robot dropped an entire country called Zackovia from the air. I really don't think at this point the Wakandan technology is going to be that hard for people to accept with everything else that has already happened in the MCU up to this point

Joseph C Gdaniec

I imagined Odin went to a plane similar to the one in this movie, except its valhalla

FatLittleButterfly

I’m just now getting a chance to watch this, and I don’t know if it’s been mentioned already, but vibranium has the unique property of dissipating the kinetic energy directed at it, which is why Cap’s shield can take so much damage without breaking.

Danny Miller

Currently sharing a streaming of this reaction on watch2gether... The idea is do this as a warm up for AIW that is expected to drop later... Link to the room: https://w2g.tv/rooms/natsarmy-isslau3doi3fjmx6ay?lang=es Please behave...

It just occurred to me watching this this time that not only does it have both Gollum and Young Bilbo Baggins, but also 'Bilbo' under a mountain of a special metal used for 'magical' armour. Kind of a pity Clawe didn't refer to Vibranium as 'precious' to Ross (or he did and I missed it).

Nat, just a heads up, without giving away spoilers, before watching Infinity war and Endgame, have a full box of tissues ready

Matt Culture

Ooh, I would love to see those reactions!

Yani Dodge

Hopefully Nat heard they are filming Black Panther 2. Great reaction Nat. Respect ✊🏿

Marcus Powell

Until the world responded the way it did and BLACK PANTHER became its own thing something that the MCU can not do with out

Marvel had no idea what they had in their possession Wakanda was only supposed to be a set piece for infinity war

They're exposing themselves! It's okay. Infinity war is next.

Amos T Fairchild

To think we were complaining about her being too slow. Hahahahaha.

AC5555

Can we get an animated/anime/stop motion poll going soon??? May I suggest Fantastic Mr. Fox

mrhalfbit

TISSUES GUNNA BE NEEDED FOR INFINITY WAR😭😭

Stoned Misthios

Great reaction Nat. I loved how you took the film in &really understood the characters. Black🙏🏾Panther is 1of my fav films ever, it means soo much to me. That final line by Killmonger makes me cry😭erry time, its soo powerful. Knowin Chadwick has passed gives this film an underlying sadness yet it's still amazing. Stay golden✌🏿

Stoned Misthios

When Nat said that I nodded my head like "Good sh*t gurl you remembering those subtle things now." 😂😂

Stoned Misthios

I can not stress how much I repeated over and over to myself as I walked into the theater "Don't F$%K this up." When the movie ended I breathed a sigh of relief. I am 1 year younger than the first appearance of this character and remember reading some of the comics when they came out. I also remember a slew of poor choices made about how to handle super heroes and villains during the late 70's. I have seen movie studios make the same poor choice today so I prayed "Don't F this up." Natalie I would love to see how integrated the capital city is with green growing things. I would love to see how the people who were chosen to portray the poverty of Wakanda lived. I am with you on the point of farmers and it triggered me to. One of the reason I still enjoy movies like this at my advanced age is the story can be used to work out the details of choice and consequences. A king made a choice to abandon his nephew. That nephew than comes back and almost destroys the nation. How do we repair the hurt others have caused? Nat love your reactions and again I kept answering you as you asked questions. I am going to have to keep track and answer you.

Garrick Smalley

Up vote on the 2 vids for the Avengers: Infinity War. and 2 vids for Avengers: End Game.

Garrick Smalley

In my opinion the movie was a little boring for me, i liked the soundtrack and the acting, but overall i was a little dissapointed when i watched it in the theaters for the first time.

Anouar

Absolutely adore this film. The only thing i dislike (apart from a bit of dodgy cgi in the final fight) is that they killed off Ulysses Klaue. I understand why they did it, and he's a pretty minor character, but Andy Serkis was just SO MUCH FUN and unique in the role!

Opti_Frog

I get anxiety from movie theaters, so it's really good for me to be able to watch the movie at the same time as everyone else.

Edwin Bertilsson

natalie the dora milaje are warriors that searve and protect the royal family they dont have loyaltys to a tribe there like the kingsguard from game of thrones exept less oaths

Ben Gilshenan

I had a weird experience with this one. I remember really digging it after seeing it once, but then after a rewatch, there are some really weird motivational and character issues that were really hard to ignore that I somehow completely missed before. 1st Act is really drawn out and the main plot of the story really doesn't kick into gear until Jordan's character arrives in Wakanda. Also, warrior rhinos? IDK, weird. I'm also very aware I'm in the minority on this, so maybe it's just my turn to be wrong this time. Haha

I believe you mean Victoria Falls?

AC5555

If you have not seen the BBC Sherlock mini-series (you probably have not because you would've recognized Martin Freeman), you should add it to your watchlist.

Danny Flores

It's eventually something the Russos end up doing as an in-joke because people commented on it so much.

Kevin Mowery

He was also Watson in Sherlock. Sherlock, of course being played by Benedict Cumberbatch, or Dr. Strange. And that shouldn't be confused with Sherlock Holmes, in which Sherlock was played by Robert Downey Jr., and oh no I've gone cross-eyed.

Greg McDaniel

Natalie: "This is hard for me to retain." Also Natalie: "New York, London and Hong Kong, the same places as the Sanctums from Dr. Strange."

Greg McDaniel

Sad that Boseman is no longer with us, cancer is a horrible disease. At least he left a lot of beautiful memories of himself for people to see, one of them being Black Panther. I enjoyed watching it again and can't wait to see him again next week; at long last we have arrived at Infinity War.

Exxorios

I worked at a movie theatre when Black Panther came out and I will never forget how EXCITED people were for it. We do not have a particularly large black community but significantly more people came to watch this movie dressed up, for the lack of a better term, than any Star Wars movie we had before or after. For Star Wars a handful of the people who showed up would maybe have a Yoda backpack, or some Jedi robes, or there'd be a kid with a toy lightsaber or something like that. For Black Panther, every. single. showing. we did while I worked there had whole groups of people show up in full traditional African clothing. Friends brought their other friends, families brought their aunties and grandmas; everyone came out to see Black Panther. I would try to time my theatre checks so I could see how they reacted to the big parts of the movie and each time they would be fully in it. In terms of pop culture, Black Panther was without a doubt one of the most culturally significant movies we had during my time there.

CheeseRepair

Recognize Klaue? That was Gollum / Smeagol from Lord of the Rings. The CIA agent also played Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit.

Obsolyeet

You said your memory's not the best, but you're doing good catching little details like the locations of the Sanctoms from Dr Strange. Also, yes, Shuri is amazing, love her!

Yani Dodge

There is so much that I love about this film, I'm so glad I got to watch it tonight with you! In regard to Wakandan politics, I do agree it's a bit much to immediately share vibranium, but I think a good center stance is to share other resources such as food and educations. It's still scary because they're going to become a bigger world player, but they don't have to share everything. The characters interact so well together, and Kilmonger has such a huge impact on T'Challa to push him to do hard right things while T'Challa has the people and support around him to do it well. Also the music is incredible, teared up during both ancestral plane scenes. Rest in power Chadwick

Yani Dodge

My method for syncing is to not rely on Nat, Instead find a spot at the start of Nat's reaction where there is a drastic and obvious change, where the screen goes suddenly to a different scene or color, pause your video at the start of that moment, then start Nat's video before that point and as soon as you see the huge shift on the screen you can hit play on your own copy. I don't try and sync with Nat's countdown because I have no idea when she is hitting play based on her head nod, but now I hope it stays the same, so funny.

Baron

Hi, Natalie! Can you PLEASE show about 10 secs of video and audio so we can sync up? not all of us are using the same source as you and it would be very helpful. Thank you.

warcrimes

Nat, I don't think you noticed but the whole MARVEL title sequence was changed somewhat recently to be entirely showing Chadwick Boseman and a really nice touch. This movie is great, all of the cast is excellent. Chadwick Boseman is so amazing, Lupita Nyong'o is stunning, Michael B. Jordan makes me hate him because he's so good as Killmonger. Andy Serkis...love him playing a villain, just wish he wasn't killed off so we could have seen more of his antics. One thing about this movie is that parts of it felt like a James Bond style movie, especially with Shuri being like Q and the casino scene felt very similar to the one in Skyfall....anyway........I'm sooo excited for Next Week!

Chris Lane- Venturi 3D

the music choices in the trailers were epic!

Chris Lane- Venturi 3D

"Rhinos are not meant to be tamed man" 😂😂😂

Rob Lowe

Woot! Marvel Monday https://i.imgur.com/VwQbtRc.mp4

Sean

Once you're caught up with the MCU movies, or at least this Phase, a good pallet cleanser within the same universe would be Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds is perfectly cast in it.

Troy B.

I damn near spit out my drink at that part lol

Jordan Torres

The twitch in your lip can be caused by a nerve that's stuck between some tense muscle tissue in your neck somewhere. Probably not something you need to worry about, but do some neck stretches :)

Thomas Malley

The first time I saw this movie in theaters was incredible. Usually, sad to say, a white man going to see a movie with a predominantly Black audience and their story is going to feel... invasive at best. Not here. The whole experience was warm, welcoming and understanding at a time when we needed it. 2018 was not a good year, so the message of building bridges, not barriers resonated, as did the dismissal at the end of a single arrogant white man. I cannot express how deeply I miss Chadwick, not just because of T’Challa, but all that had the potential to lie ahead. There is a Black Panther 2 on the schedule and they want to still do it for Chadwick. I don’t know what shape it will take, but it’ll be so worth it. As to next week... get Kleenex, Nat. How much? Oh, all of it. And never feel bad about what you remember, that you remember means it was worth remembering.

Matthew Periolat

And another character, that Natalie hasn't met, yet.

Jon Hoover

Natalie, you've got to let go of the big text issue. It's Marvel, they do things BIG!

Jon Hoover

When M'Baku said "Glory to Hanuman", it wasn't just a phrase. Hanuman is the Hindu monkey god, and the Jabari Tribe had monkey masks on. So that is the deity they worship.

Paul C

M'Baku is my favorite character from this movie. Chadwick's passing was a tragedy, but I hope moving forward Winston Duke gets to expand his role to possibly the next Black Panther

Scar: "Long... live... the king!"

Jon Hoover

I've been a fan of Black Panther since ... well, it's been a while. Seeing him in Civil War was cool, but I don't know how many times I watched the trailer for this movie, in the theater and on youtube, the one that uses a mash-up of Vince Staples' BagBak and Gil Scott Heron's The Revolution Will Not Be Televised, and almost openly wept because I never thought I'd get to see one of my favorite characters on the screen like this.

Kevin Mowery

The speech at the UN at the first ending credits scene was especially resonant in 2018 when Trumpism was dividing America, and BLM protests were starting to grow.

Christopher French

There hasn't been another Black Panther movie *yet*. There is another Black Panther movie being worked on, and the only thing we know about it is that Disney & Marvel have said they won't be recasting T'Challa because they don't feel they can or should replace Chadwick Boseman. There's also a planned "World of Wakanda" TV series at some point in the future.

Kevin Mowery

"1992, the year before I was born." My god I'm old!!! 🤦

Jon Hoover

I must have been extra tired and sleepy when I saw this in the theater, because I enjoyed it a LOT more this time. So... is Infinity War next? Oh boy... can’t wait for next Monday

Joe Blankenship

Funny when you say Klaue is crazy...as Andy Serkis is who did Gollum (another crazy)

Cyle Harruff

I think Captain Marvel and Antman and the Wasp are before Infinity War and I don't think she has reacted to those yet. EDIT: Marvel is between IW and Endgame so two weeks

Christopher Boscarino

It's going to be tough to wait an entire week for the next "Marvel Mondays" to see Nat watch Infinity War - so excited to see her react to it!

This_Jedi_crafts

Ulysses Klaue: "Must have the Precious.. Vibranium." Serkis is the go-to-guy for obsessed characters, I think.

Christopher Boscarino

I went and looked at the picture and I can't figure out what you mean

It Hurt A Lot

Maybe relax with the "savages" comment, i agree that monarchy is a bad form of government, but yikes.

Armchair Wizard

I'm not an expert by any means, but I DO pay attention to the music in most movies and I strongly agree. The score was so good. I admired the fusion as you described it.

Armchair Wizard

I have read the previous comments so you know what I was about to write (about a sequel and so forth) As far as X-men is concerned, they were sold to fox back when Marvel was about to go bankrupt and now Disney has purchased them back so they will be showing up in the MCU in the next couple of years. Still, I love the original X-men movies and even most of the newer ones when they went back to the 60's and recast a few of them. Personally I'm a patreon because of the MCU movies so if you end up watching them as well that would be awesome.

lastboyscout73

My primary issue with this movie is that they portray Wakanda as so advanced yet socially they're more primitive than every first and many 2nd world countries. They're a monarchy that chooses their king with a fight to the death. They're not advanced, they're savages with cool toys.

The Golgothan

I'm afraid you are mistaken. The meme blew up from a Instagram video in 2015, 3 years prior to Black Panther's release. The scene was very much referencing the meme.

MrCAL

She may have picked up on but didnt see much mention of it but I think part of why I find this movie special is some of the moments they talk about struggle of black people and in particular black americans. I am neither black or american (south asian brit) but there are some moments in here that I think just really hit. Yes all the big superhero stuff and what should Wakanda do, but when Killmonger and N'Jobu talk about the struggling neighbourhoods and the struggle of black people I think are really powerful moments. Like when talk about how death is expected in those areas. And of course Killmongers line about ancestors jumping into the sea from slave ships as death better than bondage, such a line. I was hoping for a bit more of a reaction to that and discussion but still a great reaction. But tbf almost none of the reactions ive seen to this film really talk too much about this. Also what I love is the in the end Killmonger and T'Challa actually agree in the Wakanda was wrong and made mistakes and should do more, obviously Killmonger wanted it in a somewhat dubious way but it was the antagonist that change the protaganists mind. Deep down Killmonger is doing it for the right reasons. Also I love the music and the somewhat infusion of parts of African cultural, whether its the music, language, dress etc. The world they build here is great. Its not perfect but this, Ragnarok and Winter soldier are prob my fav standalone films (Civil War is also but also kinda not stand alone).

Emperor_O

Totally agree. First two acts were amazing. Third act kind of devolved into a poorly executed CGI slug fest with some characters exhibiting questionable motivations. Last bit with Kilmonger just about saved the third act on his own. Was so excited to see where they were going to go. RIP Chadwick. RIP T'Challa as a character.

Garrett Henderson

There is a Black Panther 2 coming. Ryan Coogler had written the script for it, then Chadwick died. They've already stated they are not going to recast T'Challa, but the sequel is still coming.

Tay Schumaker

Your flower comment was the best.

Pokerpope

What makes a great antagonist is for them to have a sound and understandable motivation. It is then in their choice of actions in which the audience can disagree with. I think 'Black Panther' does a great job with the development of Killmonger. Better than the vast majority of other MCU movies with their antagonists, that's for sure. They only major gripe I guess I have with this movie is the really rough CGI. I remember watching it in the cinema thinking ''this has suddenly turned into a video game cutscene.'' The final fight scene with the hover train is particularly bad.

MrCAL

While you won't see T'Challa be king, there is in fact a sequel coming in phase 4. They will not be recasting Chadwick and will try to take the story on without him, as well as honoring him.

Toasty

Natalie, this is important! I see you are about to watch Infinity War, but before you do here is a spoiler warning. When you go to Disney+ and click on the thumbnail for IW, it takes you to a landing page where they give you info, you press Play, etc. The picture on that page is a big spoiler for the movie. I don't know if anyone else has given you this info. You've got to get Tyler to press Play on the page, or something so you don't see that picture! Important if you truly want to go into this one knowing nothing!

Mike LL

Black Panther is sooo goodddd

Daniel Restaro

also a good chance to wach spiderverse (which i know she will love)

DaMarkiM

Its so heartbreaking to see killmonger back in the apartment when he enters the ancestral plane. Its because his father was never properly buried and able to return to his homeland. So even in death he is disconnected from his ancestors. Makes you see why they mention being properly buried so often in the movie.

DaMarkiM

Wow! So many LOTR/Hobbit characters in this cast!!

Natalie Gold

OMG HOW DID I NOT SEE THAT!? He’s so gooooood

Natalie Gold

An aperol spritz!

Natalie Gold

Haha I chose that one intentionally too. You’re welcome 😏👉

Natalie Gold

Oh man, infinity war, here we come... The beginning of the end-(pause for dramatic effect)-game...

Emile

I always think of the Black Panther movie as the TRUE! live action remake of The Lion King! 👑 🦁 😂 as if you think about it a lot of things are so similar! Not the Shit one we got!

VidKris

Here is something from yesterday regarding Black Panther 2, which was confirmed at D23. https://www.cinemablend.com/news/2565702/black-panther-2-producer-nate-moore-possibility-chadwick-bosemans-tchalla-making-cameo

Byron

Haven't rewatched this since it came out. Gotta say it is better than I remember it. I kind of hope they do a prequel with T'Chaka for Black Panther 2, as it would give us some cool 70's or 80's action and it could introduce us to some new characters that could show up when the new Black Panther is introduced in the modern day.

WackySwacky

Since you mentioned the X-Men, I think it'd be a great idea to watch them after you finish the marvel movies but before you watch the new shows like WandaVision or the Falcon and the Winter Solider. It would be a nice break for you and give you a chance to enjoy some other parts of the Marvel world outside of the MCU. Just a thought. :)

acidnova

Just finished, great reaction! You'e doing an amazing job of keeping track of everything, same with Game of Thrones

Martin Firth

Concerning sequel: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Panther_(film)#Sequel

Martin Björling

but over all i think u got all the important informations in this movie but ít was also interesting that u mentiont that the 3 states (london hongonk and new york) are exact the same as the sanqtums in doctor strange i need to check this. and im so hyped for your reaction on infity war next it will be hillarious

Sebastian Serafin

and oh yeah pls get maaaaany tissues ready for infinity war

Sebastian Serafin

Another great reaction. From the thumbnail I thought you were wearing a version of Tony's tracksuit, that you'll see next week in Infinity War. No spoiler but I'll second the earlier comment saying you'll need to be stocked with tissues for some point of Infinity War. 💛

Chris Mick

first of all i love the fact that u were saying nakias name the whole time like u write it it was to funny xD

Sebastian Serafin

I realize now that the reason T'challa didn't want to bring W'kabi to go after Klaue was because W'kabi wanted revenge against Klaue and T'challa's story in Civil War was about realizing how destructive that could be. And he was right because W'Kabi was willing to turn on the whole world when Killmonger delivered vengeance against Klaue.

Josh The Bard

My copy isn't amazon prime, but it stays pretty synchronized. I might end up off by a second or two across the whole two hours, which I usually adjust with a quick pause/play when it becomes noticeable. Definitely not every 20 seconds, more like every half hour or 45 minutes.

John

Fortunately all the side-characters are interesting enough to be the lead of their own story.

Josh The Bard

I have the playback speed issue with amazon prime once again. Either your video is slow or amazon prime video is fast. I have to stop every 20 seconds and pause for them to synch up again. Does anyone else have this problem or knows how to fix it?

DaMarkiM

You are most certainly not

The Golgothan

Don't make us wait a whole week for Infinity War! 😉

KingsCustard

I'm probably the only one who DON'T like Michael B Jordan as an actor. Boseman is great as T'Challa though.

Niklas

Thank you Nat for this reaction, you were so smiling, and you took so much pleasure in front of the film, that it really helped me morally after some difficult days 😌 I also liked that you noticed the connections with the other films, you are getting better and better 😀 I'm excited for the next step! I hope you and yours are doing well, be safe and stay golden 💛

Calo Grsf

They had to make Killmonger extreme because otherwise, you will 100% root for him. Michael B Jordan's delivery is just amazing. And yeah, the CGI in the last fight is pretty flawed. Like a cutscene from a 2010 videogame. Mainly due to schedule issues, the CG studio had to rush it and it shows, they couldn't work on it as much as the rest of the movie, where the effects were pretty solid. Watching this movie after Chadwicks passing always makes my eyes watery... RIP King. PS: There is actually a second Black Panther movie coming. They said they will not be recasting T'challa, so we'll have to wait and see what road they choose.

Bou _

Natalie, for the sake of spoilers, I highly recommend avoiding any info about upcoming Marvel projects until you are done with Endgame. Also, aside from Logan and maybe X2 (for a Logan backstory), I would be perfectly happy to avoid every Fox X-Men movie. Even disregarding the comic book departures, I think the films aren’t very good and now that Disney acquired Fox, a reboot of the X-Men characters is coming down the line ... I’m keeping my fingers crossed Kevin Feige gets them right now that he controls the narrative.

Ian Forbes

The two white guys in the movie...Bilbo Baggins and Smeagol from THE HOBBIT TRILOGY

Jayson Phillips

Seconding the CG complaint. Much about the physics for the characters motion and impact on their environment (and each other), even considering this is a superhero movie, skips in and out of the uncanny valley.

Thomas Yanez

Infinity War is eminent

Kevin Stout l

YES! Marvel monday :) So glad we finally reached black panther.

DaMarkiM

The actor from the office and cornetto trilogy is Martin freeman he also plays bilbo baggins in the hobbit films and Arthur dent in the hitchhikers guild to the galaxy. Truly wonderful reaction as always Nat and truly inspired purple mood lighting 💛

Ian

I'm watching this open minded but I definitely am lower on this film than most. I think the film needed more Michael B. Jordan, and the final fight scene is kind of awful CGI considering the release year. Hoping I'll come around on it a bit but I never really took to this film.

Justin Feldman

Great movie. Chadwick, you are missed. Back in 1999 I wished they picked Angela Bassett to play Storm in the X-men movies. She would have been a true storm goddess like in the comics.

Tranquil_Gnome

I've rewatched it since release, but continue to be disappointed with the quality of some of the CG effects - specifically the physics of the CG combat sequences where the characters are leaping around and interacting - the motion and impacts just seem ... off. Uncanny valley material.

Thomas Yanez

This reaction's for Chadwick. Thank you Nat 💛 After watching your 42 video, I watched a different Chadwick movie every day that week, and was blown away by all his performances. His ability to totally inhabit a character, changing his voice and appearance. An amazing talent gone too soon. I really hope that you will watch more of his movies on your channel. The guy that you recognised from Age of Ultron is Andy Serkis. You also saw him as Smeagol / Gollum in The Lord of the Rings movies. The great rhythmic score is by Ludwig Goransson, and he won the Oscar for it. He also scored The Mandalorian. Loved your reaction to this movie Nat. Very moving, funny and insightful as always. "He has multiple rhinos?!!?" - a phrase that could only appear in a Nattie G video !! 😂 Looking forward to watching the MCU finale with you. Both Avengers movies are longer than the average Marvel movie, so there is potential for 2 YT videos for each. I'm just saying 😉 Thanks again Nat, and have a great week 💛

Darryl Low

PS Klau is Gollum

Martin Firth

lol, was just going to post the same. 2 years out of high school in 1992, way to make us all feel old :)

Steve J

"1992, the year before I was born." As someone who was in double digits in 1992, that hurt. :)

acidnova

lol, you're joking right? She's averaging something like one GOT episode every 2 days. Took the rest of us 2 years to get that much GOT.

Steve J

Yay, can't wait to check this out after work.

Vincent Valentin

“That flower doesn’t look like it’s the shape of a heart. It looks like the shape of something else if you know what I mean” 😂😂

Chase

Plz get back to GOT

I'm 15 minutes in! What are you drinking? Looks boozy

Martin Firth

A lot of the MCU title cards are kind of spoiler-y. Most of the Thor:Ragnarok posters clearly and prominently show Hulk and figured Nat would have noticed. Was very happy when she kept asking "who is this Champion!??". I'd guess probably she was one of the few people to ever watch the movie and be genuinely surprised by that reveal. Trailers and movie posters ruined it for everybody else.

Steve J

Haven't re-watched this since before Chadwick passed. Rest In Power Mr. Boseman.

Ron K

Can't believe were already up to Infinity War. Back when we were watching Hulk/IronMan it seemed so far away. I still watch either Infinity War or Endgame about once a week.

Steve J

Can't wait till I get home!

FYI the play screen for infinity war might have a screen grab that could be considered a spoiler

Happy Marvel Monday, Natalie! 😊 Loving your outfit and hair. The purple light in the background is perfect setting. I loved this movie. I caught this one when it first came out on DVD, and it's been in my top 5 MCU movies since. There's so many moments that hit differently now that the wonderful Chadwick Boseman is gone. But at the same it makes the movie more special. Michael B. Jordan's performance as Killmonger was excellent! And I loved the brother/sister relationship with T'Challa and Shuri. Angela Bassett was perfect as Queen Ramonda. And the T'Challa and Nakia romance was beautifully done. Overall, such a fantastic movie! 💜 Up next: here we go "Avengers: Infinity War". No spoilers, but just be sure to have a box of tissues on hand for this one. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

This is gonna be an interesting watch - The only MCU movie I haven't rewatched as I found it pretty lackluster when it came out but I am excited to see if watching it with Nattie can make it a more positive experience!

Also, do watch Da 5 Bloods and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Boseman's last two films, everyone. Da 5 Bloods has become my favorite Spike Lee film, and one of my favorites from last year, and Boseman was stellar. And Delroy Lindo was absolutely robbed of an Oscar nomination this year for it. I highly recommend both of them.

YEAAAAAAAH!!!!!! Fantastic movie, I can't wait to watch this again with your reaction. Can't believe it's only one week until infinity waaaaaar

So excited for this one! The first superhero movie to be nominated for Best Picture (The Dark Knight and The Winter Soldier are a couple others I think feasibly could have gotten one too, but Black Panther absolutely deserved it). Getting ready to cue up my copy now. Today's drink: green tea. Today's snack: a toasted bagel. Thanks for all the smiles. Cheers, Nat! R.I.P. King
