Help me pick a nostalgic movie series!!
Added 2021-04-23 19:00:04 +0000 UTCHelp me pick a nostalgic movie series to watch! To keep things fair, I filled this poll with only movie series that I've already seen.
It's been a while since I've watched any of these (especially Indiana Jones) so there will still be some surprises for sure. I just really need to watch some feel good movies right now...
Looking forward to seeing what wins! Hope you guys are having a great weekend and until the next one, stay golden! :)

Has anyone suggested Band of Brothers to her yet?

2021-05-10 05:11:51 +0000 UTCHi Nat, it's been a pleasure to watch your reactions! I'd like to suggest movie "In Bruges", despite some graphic content - it's a great piece (with Farrell, Gleeson and Fiennes). Waiting for your return!

2021-05-08 22:22:31 +0000 UTCHey, sorry you've been down lately. Sending Hugs n love. Cause you're awesome, and I hope you feel better =)

2021-05-07 14:00:50 +0000 UTCI want to throw in my favorite film of all time, HOOK. Spielberg and Robin WIlliams doing Peter Pan. I probably watch it monthly.

2021-05-06 19:52:35 +0000 UTCALL Karate Kid movies, not just the original trilogy lol
JohnnyTankTop
2021-05-04 17:55:02 +0000 UTCYou should really watch The Karate Kid Trilogy, and then start in on the Cobra Kai series on Netflix. Trust me Nat, you won't be disappointed.
Thundarr100
2021-05-04 03:55:01 +0000 UTCNostalgic. Dang, got me feelin old again. BTW, all four of these choices are excellent. Watch em all (even if not on camera for us)

2021-05-02 07:43:43 +0000 UTCSomething to consider for a future sci-fi poll: The Abyss. The director’s cut in particular.
James V
2021-05-02 04:36:08 +0000 UTCFirst saw this in the theaters at age 16. Watched again recently and it's still a fuckin blast. The only thing Carpenter and Russell ever did wrong was Escape From L.A.

2021-05-01 22:36:37 +0000 UTCJust keep Shredded LaBeef and Lucas away from everything......even the catering truck.

2021-05-01 22:35:16 +0000 UTCI used to HATE HATE HATE Temple of Doom. Then Crystal Skull came along. Now I simply "don't mind" it.
Ortizmo2000
2021-05-01 22:34:36 +0000 UTCNot a nostalgic movie , (but it is a really sweet amazing movie) but if you haven't seen Klaus before on Netflix, you should do a reaction to that one around Christmas :)

2021-05-01 01:35:26 +0000 UTCSo many movies out there, but you'll understand why I'm after you to see Alita Battle Angel, once you get just a few minutes into it. This movie is a gem. You won't believe me until you've seen it. Here's the first trailer for it, which I think was the best, that revealed the least spoilers, despite having unfinished visuals for the main character. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gu1vBQXazOQ
2021-04-30 18:00:57 +0000 UTC+1 for Equilibrium! Great movie!
2021-04-30 14:24:42 +0000 UTCI would love if some time in the future, you do a react series on The Queens Gambit from Netflix
2021-04-28 14:12:15 +0000 UTCI love movies. I have a collection of over 1000 dvds and Ive seen a lot more than that. Here are my suggestions -Troy -Equilibrium -Hacksaw Ridge (bring your tissues thou) -The Crow -Pacific Rim (CGI fest, but its really well done, soundtrack is amazing and I loved it. Sequel not so much) And...I am not a huge comedy fan, but... -Oscar (Stallone in a comedy I know and it shouldn't work but this is my favorite comedy EVER made. consider this a must watch.)

2021-04-28 13:11:23 +0000 UTCBig trouble in little china!
2021-04-28 04:01:27 +0000 UTCIf I wanted bad Millennial 80's-shaming jokes about "the days when everyone used to watch ALF on TV, lol!", I'd watch WandaVision.
Eric Janssen
2021-04-27 21:55:24 +0000 UTCI know it's not part of the poll, but I'd like to recommend "Bumblebee". Lighthearted, fun, heartfelt and Hailee Steinfeld is great in it. It works as a stand alone movie too, so no need to watch the other Transformers movies to get the hang of it.
Niklas
2021-04-27 18:14:34 +0000 UTCI look forward to a possible Indy 5. Age does not restrict adventure and especially for Harrison Ford that guy is in ridiculous shape for someone almost reaching 80.
Loneavenger96
2021-04-27 03:21:22 +0000 UTCI enjoy all of the Indiana Jones movies. They are simply adventure movies. Not very complicated and remind me of dreaming like a child again. As a kid I loved star wars but Indiana Jones felt so real to me it seemed like something anyone was capable of experiencing.
Loneavenger96
2021-04-27 03:19:07 +0000 UTCI love the Original Indy trilogy, and find the 4th movie...just Ok, but I dont hate it like some. From what I've observed of Nat, I imagine she will like the 2nd film the least, especially a certain character. ; P

2021-04-27 01:28:13 +0000 UTCGiven that I've seen five other reactors do it in the last two weeks, I'm coining the term "Chain Reactions" for the factor of fans inexplicably pushing the EXACT SAME REQUESTS on a group of reactors at the same time, whether it fits with the reactor's taste or not. Call it either that, or "a Kung Fu Hustle".
Eric Janssen
2021-04-27 00:59:17 +0000 UTCYeah, it's coming in FOUR WEEKS...
Eric Janssen
2021-04-27 00:57:25 +0000 UTCHi hi =) Just realized Star wars day is coming. Maybe do a starwarsy thing? Love your content =)
Wilmer Garcia
2021-04-27 00:21:03 +0000 UTCI know it's not in the poll, but a great feel good cheesy 80s movie with a cult following would be "Big Trouble in Little China", which is one of my all time favorite movies.
Robert Haynes
2021-04-26 21:41:11 +0000 UTCThe Power Of LOVEEEEE
2021-04-26 18:52:10 +0000 UTCit does seem relatively recent since the main series ended, but it has been 10 years since deathly hallows and the first movie is almost 20.

2021-04-26 18:43:48 +0000 UTCIf you are looking for Feel Good, I don't think Indy is going to cut it in today's climate. Don't get me wrong, I think 1 and 3 are great movies still, but Nazis from this era are always going to bring out feelings, And if I remember, a lot of brown characters played by caucasian folks. And the non caucasian folk are incredibly sterotypical, especially in #2. Just consider that if you are choosing for the feelgood factor. 🙂
2021-04-26 04:52:52 +0000 UTCI refuse to let May 25, 1977 die out with my generation, just so we can have a stupid joke that people forgot why they were telling.
Eric Janssen
2021-04-26 02:15:06 +0000 UTCNah, not just you, elements of that series have aged really badly, hell, the racial insensitivity of the second film was already widely criticised when the film first released.
2021-04-25 17:42:51 +0000 UTCI dunno if it is just me being a snowflake, but I recently watched Indiana Jones for the first time and it came across as extremely problematic :/
Daniel Horsman
2021-04-25 14:48:00 +0000 UTCNone of these. I'm still waiting on the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy. SW was the reason I even subbed originally& afta ROTS I figured a break was needed but dang its been forever. Idc what ppl I still would luv your reactions to em. Especially with May the 4th round the corner🙏🏾

2021-04-24 20:55:53 +0000 UTC'Reactions' lol it will still be a reaction even if its seen before.

2021-04-24 19:28:31 +0000 UTCIf you're looking for a series of movies to delve into after the MCU, I would suggest the DCAMU (DC Animated Movie Universe) with a few additions, notably The Dark Knight Returns
The Golgothan
2021-04-24 14:36:46 +0000 UTCI'm older, so ive seen the potter series once in the movie and once on DvD ( stopped buying them after 2 or 3) Ive seen BttF and Indiana Jones multiple times as well as Jurassic.
2021-04-24 13:37:15 +0000 UTCProbably because she knows they are good and doesn't have to rely on people's opinions of whats really good and what's not. If shes in the mood for something feel good, I'm sure she would hate to start and then be disappointed. I once had a guy argue with me, that the live action Avatar: The last Airbender, was good.
2021-04-24 13:28:28 +0000 UTCSpielberg, Lucas, Williams...I gotta go with Indiana Jones. ( as long as you leave out, Kingdom of the Crystal skull, LOL).
2021-04-24 13:20:13 +0000 UTCRandee she does! It says “pick ALL that apply”

2021-04-24 08:13:07 +0000 UTCHow old am I that Harry Potter seems nostalgic to someone..? Something to consider for after GoT is done... PLEASE tell me that Nat hasn't seen Stranger Things!!!
Ellis Hugh
2021-04-24 05:38:17 +0000 UTCCould've sworn you already did BTTF? But any of them sound good to me. Die Hard would be cool too

2021-04-24 05:27:06 +0000 UTCYou mean the one George Lucas originally wanted to call "Indiana Jones and the Saucer Men from Mars" before they decided to link it to the crystal skulls?
Greg McDaniel
2021-04-24 04:41:00 +0000 UTCIt's a win-win-win-win as far as I'm concerned but I voted Indy because I'm nostalgic about the Last Crusade, I got to see it in the theater when it was released and I was already a big River Phoenix fan from Explorers, Stand By Me, and Mosquito Coast. RIP.
Joe D. MacGuffinstuff
2021-04-24 04:15:55 +0000 UTCLooks like Indiana Jones is gonna be it. Just don't watch the fourth one. The fourth one blows.

2021-04-24 03:02:06 +0000 UTCThe Disneyland ride is better. :)
Eric Janssen
2021-04-24 00:13:11 +0000 UTCIndiana Jones is so nostalgic for me. I still remember as a kid my Mom holding her hand over my eyes at certain parts. Then as I got older finding out what I wasnt allowed to see haha. Plus I love the show at Disney World
It Hurt A Lot
2021-04-23 23:43:46 +0000 UTCDespite its placement in the polls, life, finds a way.

2021-04-23 23:04:53 +0000 UTCVoted the way I did as there isn't a 'Yes!' option.

2021-04-23 22:58:36 +0000 UTCSee something new. Try the TV series Lost. : )
Thomas Monk
2021-04-23 22:54:11 +0000 UTCThere was a fourth one? I must have repressed all memory of that or something... hmmm weird.
Garren Haskell
2021-04-23 22:50:47 +0000 UTCIn terms of all round feel good, I don't think anything beats the Back To The Future trilogy.
Thomas Malley
2021-04-23 22:46:10 +0000 UTCIf you want something funny and enjoyable to watch you should consider taking a brief break from GOT between seasons and watch something like Fleabag which is a very short series which could be watched in a few sittings
Josh B
2021-04-23 22:42:27 +0000 UTCIndy, but stop after three the fourth one was not good.
Wesley Eskildsen
2021-04-23 22:37:49 +0000 UTCBack to the Future... AFTER Indiana Jones.
Thomas Monk
2021-04-23 22:25:53 +0000 UTCI voted for Harry Potter, but the Indy movies are also a great choice. If you're looking for something not quite so dark (to offset Game of Thrones), I might recommend The Sound of Music, Labyrinth, Ladyhawke, Airplane! or Ghostbusters (the original).
Chris Gronau
2021-04-23 22:13:53 +0000 UTCWith so many movies that you've never seen, why repeats?
Alan Kobb
2021-04-23 22:04:46 +0000 UTCI had to go with Jurassic Park because that's one of the movies I always watch whenever I am sick and have to stay home.

2021-04-23 21:57:21 +0000 UTCIndiana Jones! Probably my favorite(at least top 3) movie series ever!

2021-04-23 21:13:57 +0000 UTCBack to the Future... no brainer

2021-04-23 20:50:20 +0000 UTCIndiana Jones is great, but Back to the Future is one of my all time faves.

2021-04-23 20:46:37 +0000 UTCIndy!
Gary Poussard
2021-04-23 20:40:15 +0000 UTCWe can skip that one. Just like the sequels for star wars.

2021-04-23 20:39:23 +0000 UTCYes Indy!!! But we can skip #4.

2021-04-23 20:38:50 +0000 UTCThis is an incredibly hard choice!

2021-04-23 20:35:22 +0000 UTCI feel you are going through something difficult recently and I'm sorry if that is the case. I just hope you feel better soon as you so generously brighten our lives every week with your reactions. You deserve happiness!
Daniel Gauvreau
2021-04-23 20:29:08 +0000 UTCIf you have truly never seen the Indy series you are in for a treat!
2021-04-23 20:18:19 +0000 UTCI'd say do Harry Potter but wait until you're done with Game of Thones. These other options are a little lighter and a better balance in the meantime against GoT.

2021-04-23 19:52:48 +0000 UTCI picked BTTF only because Indy 4 is so not good
Tom Tomlinson
2021-04-23 19:51:03 +0000 UTCSo excited for this, especially since you haven’t seen the Indy movies in awhile.
Reavis Wade
2021-04-23 19:50:38 +0000 UTCIndiana Jones and Back to the Future are my choices. My interest in Jurassic Park ends completely after the first one. I tried but could never get into Harry Potter.

2021-04-23 19:50:21 +0000 UTCIf Jones... feel free to just do the original trilogy... we won't mind! ;)

2021-04-23 19:39:18 +0000 UTCI agree with you! I love them all but only really like the first Jurassic Park after that it's kinda downhill as much as I love Jeff Goldblume

2021-04-23 19:37:50 +0000 UTCCan't wait to watch whatever series wins with you Nat. I think we all need a fun distraction right now 💛
Darryl Low
2021-04-23 19:29:51 +0000 UTCVoting for Indiana Jones not because it's my favorite of these franchises but because I think Nat's reactions to the over-the-top action would be hilarious. Especially the vine-swinging in Crystal Skull.
Vidcutter
2021-04-23 19:28:48 +0000 UTCAll of these are great but I’m going with Indy because it holds a special place in my heart but also sounds like it’s been the longest time since Natalie has seen it out of the choices.
Ben Wheeler
2021-04-23 19:28:03 +0000 UTCI'd like to see a reactor start the Star Trek series WITHOUT doing the JJ Abrams movies. Rather see them start where JJ did: Wrath of Khan. :)
Eric Janssen
2021-04-23 19:23:51 +0000 UTCPeople you can vote for as many as you like. I voted for all but Jurassic Park, and really wouldn’t mind it that much either
Cole Jennett
2021-04-23 19:20:50 +0000 UTCUmm what? The Last Crusade is one of the funnest movies ever! I’ll give you Crystal Skull though. Agree completely on Jurassic Park
Cole Jennett
2021-04-23 19:18:35 +0000 UTCIndiana Jones series is cool but I'm also obsessed with Jurassic Park BUT....knowing that Nat is enduring GOT right now (carnage, nudity, violence, dragons), it might be a fun change of pace. It would also be great to watch the Harry Potter franchise from start to finish - I lost interest after a while. Only so much room in my heart for fantasy/ sci-fi/horror. Star Wars and Marvel take my heart, for all of that.
This_Jedi_crafts
2021-04-23 19:17:38 +0000 UTCThere IS no Indiana Jones or Jurassic Park "series"...There is only Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Jurassic Park. (Okay, and maybe the first Jurassic World, but not that horrendous second one.) And is this the last remaining reactor on YouTube who has NOT fangirl-gushed her way through the entire Harry Potter series? Feel like we need closure.
Eric Janssen
2021-04-23 19:15:16 +0000 UTCVoted BTTF, just 'cause it's so consistently fun, but would also enjoy your Indiana Jones commentary. :)
William R Coughlan
2021-04-23 19:13:12 +0000 UTCI voted for JP, cos I love them, but I'd be happy with anything besides Harry Potter. Not interested there at all
Mac McNeely
2021-04-23 19:12:34 +0000 UTCI vote to just react to all of these in order of poll count. It'll be Nostalgia Nights for a lot of us, except we get to couch-watch with Natalie.

2021-04-23 19:12:22 +0000 UTCIndiana Jones is the gold standard for action/adventure movies. Except the last one, you can skip that.

2021-04-23 19:12:12 +0000 UTCIndy first. Then BTTF
Christopher French
2021-04-23 19:11:08 +0000 UTCI just voted all 4, cos all 4 are just yeay. And cool.
R.BGames37
2021-04-23 19:09:02 +0000 UTCBack to the Future is the only one of these franchises I care about.
Brian Leonard
2021-04-23 19:06:38 +0000 UTCTough to pick between Indy and BTTF, but I think Indy's probably a little easier on a first-timer than BTTF (for whoever's watching it for the first time along with you), so Indy it is for me.
Andy Jordan
2021-04-23 19:06:32 +0000 UTCWe need an 'all of the above' option. LOL! That was such a tough choice. I picked "Indiana Jones" just because I'm a huge Harrison Ford fangirl. Which is one of the reasons why I'm looking forward to your "Blade Runner" reaction. 😊 Have a great rest of the day & weekend! Stay Golden! 💛
Randee Carreno
2021-04-23 19:06:16 +0000 UTCHoly moly u can't go wrong with any of these I'm totally on the fence here because I'm delighted with whatever wins cheers for another wonderful week of content nat youre a true legend 💛

2021-04-23 19:06:01 +0000 UTCThis is so hard but I'm going Back to the Future! I really wouldn't mind any of these. Also please eventually watch How to Train Your Dragon (series). That was on your Princess Bride list and I would love for you to watch this series!
Lisa Tosti
2021-04-23 19:05:41 +0000 UTCCan't go wrong with any of these, really. If you don't plan on seeing the next (final?) Jurassic movie in theaters, maybe wait to do that series until it is streaming. I hear it will wrap up the entire franchise, but who knows if it will be any good.
