FIRST TIME WATCHING: GOT S3E6!!

Robb screwed up when he married the girl from Volantis because she was pretty (the nerve of Caitlyn scolding her brother for "risking the war for a chance at a prettier wife" is a bit rich), and again when he killed Karstark. He was always my 2nd least favorite Stark, I liked him less then his mother. The Stark I like the least, though, will always be Sansa! Out of the 2 pairs of arranged marriages, she does NOT have it worse, Loras does. He accepted his duty to marry a woman when it was Sansa, but now he is forced to marry a cruel woman who killed her last husband, King Robert. After Loras, I would say that Tyrion has it 2nd worse. Sansa may be pretty, but how is that good for him, he loves Shae, and Sansa is a child (I know that does not matter in their world) who hates his entire family, including Tyrion who has been nothing but kind to her. But she judges him on his Lannister name, as well as her superficial ideal husband, someone who looks like Joffrey or Loras.

Lucile Byrd

I am so here for the Robb annoyance. "We wounded him--" "No, Robb, YOU wounded him!" I mean, I'm not much for Edmure or anything, but come on Robb. A moral quandary about executing a powerful nobleman who has killed children is one thing, but even a secret wedding takes planning, and you had so many opportunities not to do it.

Tommy Ross

Edmure didn't need to know the plan, he just needed to follow orders. He saw a chance for personal glory and took it - that wasn't on Robb.

Ellis Hugh

"Cause we can't have anything nice!" should almost be the tagline for the whole series.

Colin Ballendine

Robb actually screwed up the stone mill too Edmure didn’t know the plan. Also Edmure is Cat brother the blackfish is Edmure and cat uncle

Acash33

Rob's "I have war to fight" is so hypocritical

Mr Rys

the boat sansa was crying and looking at was little fingers she was crying because she has to marry tyrion and little finger left so she cant escape kings landing with him anymore its basicly the feeling of i gave up a chance to leave because there was a chance i could leave in a better way but now i am forced to a worse situation and i cant escape anymore

Ben Gilshenan

If a lot of people are confused by it then that means the movie/tv-show does a poor job of explaining or portraying it. If there's been no indication that time has passed, no mentioning of it or characters referencing it then it's obvious that viewers don't grasp it.

Danishprince

Something I've noticed with you Natalie. Well not just you, but people in general who only watch the TV show as opposed to reading the books. You don't seem to grasp time lapse. I've noticed it in several episodes of this and movies you've done. Just within this episode, without leaving the Jon/Ygritte storyline you did it several times. "Oh are they ALREADY at the wall?!" "This girl is crazy! You guys had sex one time and you're ALREADY in love?" "Are they going to kiss in front of everyone? He probably feels a lot closer to her after saving her life there." John and Ygritte feel close because they have been together for weeks (if not months) by the time this episode starts. A lot of time passes off screen in book adaptions and so many people just seem utterly confused about it.

Aaron

Agreed. Two of the most popular quotes of the entire series and we get them in the same episode.

Obsolyeet

Natalie, you've really got to learn the heraldry of the different houses and their bannermen. It would answer a lot of our questions.

Mike H

Was about to say the same thing! She was apparently the only one who ever made him smile or laugh. I wonder how Tyrion's life would have been different if she hadn't died giving birth to him (one would hope that Cersei and Tywin would have been at least a LITTLE bit less awful).

Henri

same thing was happening to me but for another show. Delete your watch and search history and then whenever a video pops up open it in incognito.

Jakob

Another great reaction, Nat. It's so much fun watching AGoT with your comments and reactions along with it. More than halfway through this season!

Donovan Sparks

I gotta stop watching your GoT reactions on Youtube. It's affecting the algorithm and now 50% of everything coming through my feed has GoT spoilers in the thumbnail.

The Golgothan

It was always one of my least favorite portrayals between the books and the show. They made Littlefinger really slimy from the start in the show while in the books he's this intensely charismatic and helpful character that tries to stay out of people's attentions. In the show, he's always going out of his way to insult and piss people off, which just doesn't feel right for how smart he is since book Littlefinger tries to make as many friends as possible. In the books it makes sense to trust Littlefinger if you don't know his intentions, in the show he's so creepy from the start that it really doesn't.

Conzi

Congrats on 4k patrons! Recent patron myself. Love your reactions videos. They're often pretty close to my own when I watched these shows and movies the first time. Wtf was basically my catchphrase throughout the entirety of GoT lol. Also, I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this in previous episodes, but Kit Harrington (Jon Snow) and Rose Leslie (Ygritte) are now a married couple in real life.

Marty McGee

The mockingbird on the sail is Littlefinger's sigil. That was the ship leaving he'd offered her as an escape from King's Landing and she refused.. She was watching her way out sail away.

Justin Credible

"WE CAN'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE!" Nice summary of Game of Thrones!

Troy B.

“What’s this guy’s deal? Why did we go through this whole circle jerk bullshit experiment??” I died Natalie 😂

My Toasty Toast

little finger is supposed to be annoying and put on, hes a man that came from nothing and a massive asshole.

The Soldier

Note to anyone looking to follow Natalie's suggestion and use a third-party app on YouTube: when you're on YouTube, go to the URL area, and after the word "youtube" but before the ".com", type in "x2", then press enter. You're welcome. (Unless it fails to load, in which case, I'm sorry.)

Troy B.

Regarding Theon's captor - if the other clues have slipped past you, hopefully you recognize that horn he blew.

Ellis Hugh

Iwan Rheon is the actor torturing Theon. Check out his song on youtube "Bang! Bang!" xD

SmokeAndACoffee

If you think back to one of the episodes where Robb was talking to a guy named Roose Bolton who said "naked man has few secrets, a flayed man has none"... Their hobby is torture. That same man then suggested to let his bastard re-take Winterfell from Theon so Robb can focus on the war. Look closely at the sigil he has on his chest and what Theon is tied to.

Paul C

Chaos is a ladder! Valar morghulis is High Valyrian. It translates to "all men must die" and is a customary saying in Essos, where Danny is now, the cities and lands where the Red God is worshiped. Essos is a big place. The Valyrian people conquered much of it before their fall. Think of Valyrian as Latin and their empire like the Roman empire. It is traditionally answered with "valar dohaeris," meaning "all men must serve." They don’t say it much in Westeros where the Iron Throne and the Wall are. Keep in mind that “men” in this case is gender neutral. A better translation would be “everyone dies” and “everyone serves”. Sounds more dramatic the first way.

Tranquil_Gnome

Sansa looking at the boat was Littlefinger leaving for the Vale - in the previous episodes Littlefinger was planning on taking Sansa with him when he left, but in the previous episode when he asked Sansa if she was ready she made excuses not to leave (because she was getting closer to the Tyrells and looking forward to the marriage to Loras). So Littlefinger did her dirty - he wrecked her marriage with Loras on his way out the door, and when she found out about her new marriage to Tyrion, all she could do was watch Littlefinger sailing away since she had already turned down his offer to take her with him.

Chris Eggert

I disagree. I've watched like 4 or 5 reactions to GoT now (cuz I'm a big ol' nerd.) But no one has ever correctly guessed who Theons captor is in any of those reactions. But yeah, the clues are definitely there, but one of the things that makes the foreshadowing so good in GoT is that you are constantly given so much information on so many plot threads that most of the foreshadowing is only seen on a 2nd watch.

Conzi

You actually should know who theons captor is, many clues have been given in episodes past. Also the ship had a sigel on the sails and based in conversations past should be clear why she's crying as it leaves. Little details and conversations always hint the future in this show.

Bubba Fett

Thanks Nat and congratulations for the 4k🥳! I can't wait to go further haha I hope you're fine, take care, be safe and stay golden! 💛

Tywin actually had a really loving relationship to his wife, Joanna Lannister, and was quite a different person back then, at least with her. Which is one of the reasons he's so spiteful towards Tyrion, as he loved his wife so deeply and blames Tyrion for her death.

Niklas

Also, Anguy was teaching Arya instinctive archery, a style favored for heavy longbows, as holding a 75+lbs bow (warbow) will tire you out VERY quickly. Compound bows take most of the weight off, so you can hold them drawn for extended periods of time, which led to a slower style gaining prominence nowadays.

Joseph Phillips

while varys and littlefinger were talking in front of the iron throne it reminded me of an interesting fact! that being - galdalfs sword glamdring is one of the swords forged into the iron throne , i find this really cool thought id share for whoever is unaware :)

Ian

The wall sheering off is not entirely unrealistic. If you have ever scene a calving glacier, it is very similar. Glaciers do that without any real external stimulus, so someone driving a pick into a crack that is already there could definitely cause that to happen. The wildlings ascend the wall in small groups spread out by a distance to prevent one mistake from killing the whole group. Also, the ship at the end was the one that Littlefinger was going to take Sansa away on, but she declined him believing that she would marry Loras and be away yo highgarden. She found out about the change in wedding plans too late to join Littlefinger. The bird on the sail is his sigil. Great reaction. You are doing very well at catching most of the plot threads, so I just wanted to point out those two things.

Joseph Phillips

When reading/watching Game of Thrones, assume death. The rest will work itself out later.

JediLounger

Point shooting with archery. Your body and eyes will align. Ever since we were infants, our bodies have known how to point a finger at what we're looking at. "I want that toy." "I want that cookie." Aligning along the arrow/sights almost becomes secondary to body indexing. Eyes to target to inform the body.

Luis Torrefranca

better to not set expectation for future episodes Scott. The reaction is only exciting to watch if the reactor has no idea what's coming.

mike

Two of the most memorable quotes are from this episode “if you think this has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention” and “Chaos is a ladder”

Randee Carreno

I admit I haven't been tracking the GoT reactions as closely as the Marvel stuff, but is anyone unreasonably excited for Nat to watch REDACTED? It's the one that finally got me to commit to watching GoT
