Comments

there were a lot of rewrites to this show i wont say what they were until the next episode is relised but it waas rewrited when the pandamic happened

Ben Gilshenan

Steve also fought him in CA: Winter Soldier.

Richard Maurer

Like a Rothschild?

chicks dig me

Ah, Julia Louis-Dreyfus playing an old money European aristocrat, the role she was quite literally born to play...

Jordan Freemyer

...she watched it in the vid...

Erik Stevenson

Man, who cares?

Erik Stevenson

NAT THERE WAS AN END CREDIT SCENE! LOL

Topher Cast

Val's the Anti-Fury

Connor Ellis

Ugh, can't wait for you to start Loki! It's so much more interesting.

Kevin

That has never been confirmed and is probably not true. There is no real evidence to support that.

Lucky Dragon ‘She.They’

He wants to kill Sam because he's the bad guy from the first episode with the planes and helicopters. He's the one who got away. He's also the one who talked to Sharon on the phone in this episode. I do agree with you about the fact that there's something lacking with this show. I've actually felt that about all these Phase 4 shows (yes, including Loki). I think WandaVIsion is probably my favorite Phase 4 movie/show thus far (that includes Black Widow as well). I just think the mysterious tone of the series hit the best, even if the revelations were so subpar. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier obviously had the best action. I just wish they kept the original plot for this show. Either way, I still enjoyed watching the first 4 products of Phase 4. I just hope they're doing something different with Shang Chi (the trailer looks really good to me).

Ilsuk Yang

the show origanially had a side plot of the world being in a pandemic. but then covid happned and they choose to remove the entire plot. but alot of bits are still their without context. like the vaccines being stolen by the flag smashers in one of the episodes or the social distancing at that meeting.

WeeJet

That guy who wants to kill the Falcon was the guy who's operation Sam stopped at the beginning of episode one. Also at least some of the series was filmed during heavier COVID precautions so that could be why it looked like that at the vote.

Kevin Bartelen

It shoulda been Mephisto, lol; can not get that out of my head when they're mentioned.

Ashley Faith

I loved seeing Julia Louis-Dreyfus show up but I, too, was confused (upon my initial viewing). I popped over to "NewRockstars" on YouTube (I know - it sounds like I keep promoting them - only in that they are super helpful for people like me who didn't read the comics, in understanding "plot theories," "Characters from the comics who are being introduced through these series" (or more). Like when Agatha showed up in WANDAVISION - I was like, "SO?....AND?" NewRockstars gave the entire history from the comics and talked about other possible "baddies" that could be integrated into the MCU (through the multi-verse). As always - I truly enjoy your reactions - really look forward to them as they (again) give me a renewed look at content I have already seen (but can appreciate in new ways).

Jesus Christ how insulting. You think reflects well on you as a person? What the hell are you commenting for if you're just having a miserable time? Learn the lessons. This episode's called Truth for a reason.

YodatheHobbit

I loved watching him when I was like 8 in M.A.N.T.I.S.

YodatheHobbit

This is probably my favorite episode. The whole "they will never let a black man be captain america" is extremely poignant, especially when you look at the backlash Marvel received when they first had Sam take over as Cap in the comics. And everything that happened to Isaiah is VERY similar to the real life Tuskegee experiments where the government took black men and women with syphilis and studied them while they got sicker and sicker and eventually died. Told them they were giving them free medicine for it but actually they were giving them placebos. It went on for 40 years, from 1932 to 1972.

Sebastian Syrinx

I personally wouldn't label Walker as a "villain/bad guy" but more of an antihero in this series, doing things that are correct morally, but in a less traditional sort of way. I think this whole series portrays people in a more morally grey area than normal, say with Zemo being a sort of antivillain

Fergus Schofield

One cool and thoughtful touch Marvel put in episode 2 and here again in episode 5 was where they filmed Isaiah's home. While the show says it's in Baltimore, it was actually filmed in Atlanta in MLK Jr's neighborhood. The tan house at the end of Isaiah's Street in the background was MLK's childhood home. My source is Eric Voss from New Rockstars who I always follow for Marvel content.

The super soldier serum doesn't give people skills. They still have to learn how to do things.

WackySwacky

You've mentioned people just being good at things after they take the super soldier serum. You have to think about it in terms of what the serum gives you. They are good at throwing and catching things, they are good a "gymnastics" and fighting, because the serum makes them incredibly strong (which most of those things is about core strength), and it massively boosts things like their balance (also involving strength) and their hand eye coordination, as well as their senses. Basically, how it seems to me, the whole world would sort of slow down. Your reaction time, your power would all be enhanced. So doing a flip or catching an object flying through the air, or being pin-point accurate with a gun or a shield just makes sense. Anyway, that's just my take on it.

Brandon Scott

yeah the terrorist that helped kill Lamar was such an innocent guy...

MakaPeji

I challenge everybody to list all the things John Walker has done to be labeled a "super villain/bad guy" please, thank you.

MakaPeji

You must have switched off early. Nat caught it at the end of the video.

Darryl Low

I think perhaps you've become too hypercritical of trivial things and then miss out on the real story. Example, maybe being worried about where people are sitting isn't the best use of your observation skills.

Calculatus Eliminatus

The most heavy-handed boring marvel anything I’ve ever watched 🙄

Travis

I think Carl Lumbly (Isaiah) is a world class actor.

Ben Wheeler

There's a reason why you're probably not to invested to this show and I'll wait to comment on it till the last episode.

Frank Rosales

"He didn't kill Lemar, John" You're right, Buck, he didn't. He was just the one holding John back so Karli could deliver the deathblow. John Walker needs all the therapy in the world, but he was right: He killed a terrorist.

RE

His character's name is Batroc. He's a character from the comics, though he was a minor villain with a somewhat silly-looking purple costume and long moustache reminiscent of an old silent-movie villain. Having GSP play him in the MCU has definitely been an improvement.

GLENN WELSH

the guy who wanted to kill the falcon is George, the french terrorist who fought steve in Cap winter soldier, he also was the guy sam fought in the first episode (the one kidnapping an american captain in that glide suit chase). By the way he's also one of the most famous UFC fighters of all time George st. Pierre. Also just a fun tidbit they brought him into Cap winter soldier so the fight scenes would be done with real martial arts. I know it seems like this show isn't as important or as powerful as some of the other films and shows but I think it is full of VERY important character development and story progression that will lead to new films and shows.

john collins

I have liked all 3 Disney MCU series for different reasons as they focus not only on different characters but different emotions and elements of humanity. For this, I appreciate the willingness to address racial and socio-economic issues. Looking forward to your reaction to the finale tomorrow. And yes, there is an end credit scene in that as well. 🙂

Ian Forbes

Hi Nat and Happy Marvel Monday 😄! Thank you for this very nice reaction, I agree with you, the first three episodes are not as gripping but from the fourth, it changes haha I liked your reaction to the scene where Bucky introduces himself to Sam's sister haha you were pretty funny 😃 I can't wait for tomorrow and of course, the next step with Loki 😄 I hope you're fine, take care, be safe and stay golden! 💛

Calo Grsf

Which means nothing happens. Bucky doesn't feel anything and John doesn't feel anything. Literally a useless move.

Fauxfox

Happy marvel Monday Nat hope you had a wonderful weekend, that drink looks the business and the glass 🥰 love it! Seinfeld was great indeed totally agree loved Elaine so much

Ian

"Really, we're gonna punch his shield Bucky? It's made of vibranium!!" Well, so is Bucky's arm so...

Bou _

Perfect thumbnail for Marvel Monday Nat. Cheers to you too 💛😄 Your Nattie-sense must have been tingling to keep you watching right to the end 😄 Carl Lumbly is such a great actor and always puts in a stellar performance. I'm actually working my way through Seinfeld again now. I'm up to season 6. Such a brilliantly funny show. Thanks for today's video Nat 💛

Darryl Low

Happy Marvel Monday, Natalie! 😊 This is another fantastic episode. Notice how the moment during the Sam & Bucky vs. John Walker fight when Bucky & Sam work to get the shield from Walker is almost reminiscent from when Tony & Peter Parker was trying to get the glove off of Thanos in "Infinity War". Again, Wyatt Russell gives a stellar performance as John Walker. Especially in the courtroom scenes. He looks and sounds so much like his dad, Kurt Russell, in those scenes. The Julia Louis-Dreyfus character was introduced in the comics. Sam telling Torres to keep the wings is a nod to the comics or foreshadowing to him becoming the next Falcon after Sam becomes the new Captain America. Always love that Ayo, and the Wakandans, are back to calling Bucky "White Wolf" again after he helped recapture Zemo for them. Once again, loved the scenes with Isaiah Bradley & Sam. I could watch a whole episode of just Sam & Bucky fixing a boat. LOL! And Bucky flirting with Sam's sister is such a Bucky thing to do. He was such a flirt in the 40s before he was captured. He feels so at home and peace with Sam's family. Sam & Bucky's talk while playing catch with the shield is one of my favorite moments of the whole series. Along with Sam's training montage with the shield. Always love seeing one of Sam's nephews tracing the star on the shield with a smile. The ONLY thing that I hated about this show when it originally came out was we had to wait a whole week to see what was in the case from Wakanda that Bucky brought for Sam. LOL! Luckily this time we only have to wait one day to see your reaction to it. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛
