It's NATMARE season!

Hey friends!

So I know today you all were expecting PARASITE! This weekend ended up being a series of unfortunate events here at my house and unfortunately, my wifi crashed last night while I was sleeping and thought my video was uploading. So Parasite will be delayed until tomorrow while I wait for it to upload today.

In the meantime, here is a poll for our first movie of NATMARE season! You may notice that these films are a lot more light hearted and less spooky. That's because I'll be watching movies in a house all by myself this week and don't think I could mentally handle watching anything really scary haha (yes I'm a little chicken shit). Next week, I'll be back in a house with other people and can prepare myself to be braver and watch actual scary movies.

Also, I know these aren't all true Halloween movies, but I figured they'd be a good transition into the more scary stuff later on. Plus I'm really curious about some of these :)

Until then, STAY GOLDEN!!

Comments

I second that. I had to be forced to watch "Tucker and Dale" because it looked stupid, but it was HILARIOUS. Well worth a watch!

Thomas Williamson

Tucker and Dale vs Evil is so funny

Jan Sørensen

Tucker and Dale vs Evil would would be an awesome Movie to watch, it has Alan Tudyk in it and its without Zombies.

WellThatDidntWork

A very small horror-comedy film (that isn't really scary at all) worth watching is Extra Ordinary. Really enjoyable Irish indie film featuring Will Forte about a driving instructor who has to come out of retirement from being an exorcist when Forte's character tries to conduct a dark ritual in a small town. Lovely film.

Śéáń

Tucker and Dale vs Evil, The Conjuring Films, The Descent unrated cut, OG Evil Dead series, Psycho.

mrhalfbit

I'd love to see a reaction to 10 Cloverfield Lane! Personally, could care less about the other Cloverfields (it's more an anthology than a series), but this one is one of my all-time-favorite thrillers!

N.A. Vreugdenhil

would like to see reaction to "the crow" or "rocky horror picture show"

Dorian Kain

Hah, didn't realize you could vote for multiple entries. Coraline was made for 3D, so the best way to watch it is in 3D (you'd be missing out all the special effects they made specifically for 3D viewing). The rest are terrestrial 2D movies.

Edward Of DOOM

Coraline is creepy as. Dead eyes with a smile, too real for me.

Cripkie

It's about to be Halloween, how could you not be watching Stranger Things???

Ellis Hugh

Omen, Carrie, Scream

AC5555

I second this.

Troy B.

I absolutely vote Goonies... but something in the same vein but more halloween appropriate is Monster Squad.

Garrett Henderson

shes seen it

Garlicjr Made

If you want a fun kids Halloween movie go for Hocus Pocus.

Myles Away

Goonies? For Natmares? It's a kids adventure movie

Myles Away

can we do Chernobyl please?????

Sufian Farukh

Yes, people get scared watching horror films, that's the whole reason they exist. The point is to face your fears. I was scared of horror films when I was a kid, but kept watching them till now I'm at the point where it's super rare for anything in a horror film to scare me.

Richard Maurer

And the drive-by pissy racist horror-fanboy snipe at the 00’s Japanese-horror rush, no problems with that either, ten years later?

Eric Janssen

that's fair. It's been decades since I've seen that film and forgot about that.

PickettsChargingPort

Unless you spent the first fifteen minutes of the movie thinking "O-KAY, Chunk, you broke the statue, now move the heck on!"

Eric Janssen

Then again none of these films are true horror and the horror/comedy one she's admitting to have seen you do realise Nat gets scared right?

Paul G

You can't really go wrong with Goonies

PickettsChargingPort

Also the A Quite Place movies are great also

Ray Riddle

When we get to the scarier movies, I recomend Midsommar.

Ray Riddle

The fact that some films would win any poll just makes my point - Goonies shouldn't be here. It's becoming a pet peeve of mine - film polls with films that clearly aren't in that genre. Even worse popular films in the wrong genre poll, virtually guaranteeing they'll win.

Richard Maurer

The Frighteners, staring Michael J. Fox. Music by Danny Elfman!! (prolific soundtrack composer of Oingo Boingo fame)

Gerald Corona

Speaking of tv shows, there was a cool, frightening, crossover ep. of X Files and COPS. "X-Cops" Season 7, Episode 12. (no aliens) A single night, sundown to sun up, in L.A., investigating a string of gruesome murders alongside LAPD'S finest.

Gerald Corona

I agree with The Haunting of Hill House. I like to describe it as the Godfather of Haunted House Stories.

Gerald Corona

I'm thinking about her liking it not us. She hasn't seen it so there is no nostalgia factor. It will just be a corny kid's movie

Cruisin for a Perusin

That's true too Mose a Matrix/SW/ Gump or the like win anything. I voted Goonies as I grew up with it and I've probably seen it 30 times. Also note I just had to edit my post as I realised I put poles instead of poll's.

Paul G

Maybe the plans forward are already set, but I feel like now that Game of Thrones is coming to an end, and Natmare season is upon is, it would be a good opportunity for a short horror series. I have seen others mention it too, and I think The Haunting of Hill House would be perfect. It's a one season, 10 episodes, limited series with a good story, characters and actors, that gets a proper ending. While it is a horror show and scary at times, it's not super scary, and also not just filled with cheap jump scares (though there are some). More of that creepy and intense buildup. It's also an Netflix original, and is therefore available all over the world on Netflix :)

RustafanX

I agree with Paul. Plus I think many voters don't really care whether the movies watched match the poll's theme. Forrest Gump would probably win a drama poll, a horror poll, and an animated films poll all with flying colors.

My_Cousin_Mose

Wow, people really showing their ass in these comments. Lol All of these selections are great. Gremlins is considered more of a Christmas time film by some, so that might be better in December. Same could be said for Nightmare before Christmas. It’s a great transitional film from Halloween to Christmas. Goonies is a classic, definitely not spooky at all really but I’m glad it’s winning considering it’s a “not seen.” I think it’s a good choice if you don’t want to watch spooky films when you’re by yourself.

Neverender

I've noticed whenever a reactor says the've seen something, even in part, it usually won't win poll's and Coraline is behind as I'm assuming not everyone has seen it.

Paul Gibbons

Okay , while I do understand the post - to watch the mildest "horror" film possible, how is Goonies winning?! The other films at least have some connection to horror. Goonies isn't in any way related to horror and shouldn't be in this poll, in my somewhat arrogant opinion.

Richard Maurer

I say all of them. The only reason I picked "The Goonies" is because you haven't seen it yet

Ilsuk Yang

You want scary movies right? Coraline is the only 'scary' movie on that list. Also MACHINE GUN PREACHER, it's a whole movie like the green mile/ shawshank /w Gerald Butler as the lead. It might sound stupid but it's actiony with a good theme and based on true events

devin flynn

It's great. It's a celebration of the genre, maybe one of the best love letters to horror in two decades IMO

Kelvin

YESSS Coraline! Keep voting for Coraline. She's never seen it and it's amazing! One of my favorite stop-motion animation films ever.

Jeff E

It's just a fun movie, so yes, people like it. If it gets reacted to, don't watch.

Robert Reichle

yes

TwistedMagoo

So, do fans still like Cabin in the Woods, even with its snotty dismissal of the genre, and its arrogantly Millennial-ageist climax? (I’m guessing the notion that cliche’d slasher films are made by “Corrupt cynical adults treating teens like cash-cow idiots” was made before Shudder and the drowning fanboy-director glut of made-for-streaming horror?). 🙄

Eric Janssen

Yes, for horror comedy (modern) classics Cabin in the Woods and Tucker and Dale vs Evil are a must! For more traditional scary, how about the new version of It.

Marc Ammundsen

Might I suggest Cabin in the Woods for later in the month

Zach Strand

comon make corolo

Checo Lara

Did you not read the post properly.

Paul G

read the description

Checo Lara

These are kids movies. Terrible selection.

warcrimes

Goonies is a classic, and its funny.

Laura Thornley

Well this is a no brainer. Obviously it’s The Goonies because they never say die.

Harry Reece

Please watch "Halloween" (1978) when you get into the scary Natmare season.

Niklas

yeah those are some poor choices

Dooly

That’s the best line though.

Dooly

LAME!.......sorry, that looks mean now that I see it in print, how about......lame.

Richard Maurer

Hellrasier but it very dark but really good

Derrick Shackelford

I suggest Peewee's Big Adventure.

Cory Silver

I still have high hopes for Event Horizon - or maybe one of the Dark Castle films - to show up this season.

Chief

The Bootie Traps

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

I was the fifth Goonie, Rosalita's bastard. No but I love that she's starting the Natmare season with my favorite PG movie of all time ☠️ Honestly I don't want her to watch scary scary movies, she doesn't enjoy them. Hoping she watches more like Creepshow 1 or 2, Tales From the Crypt or even Twilight Zone episodes... Twilight Zone the Movie. Oh but has she even seen Poltergeist? Hmm.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

To anyone recommending Monster Squad, from those alive to have seen it (briefly) in theaters: We KNOW what wolfmen got….Now quote ANOTHER line. Go ahead, we dare you.

Eric Janssen

Or the ORIGINAL (and less goofy/disturbingly scarier) version, “Curse of the Demon”. 😨

Eric Janssen

For people who weren’t born in the 80’s, and had to watch them all equally on video, it symbolizes The 80’s Movie: Kids on bikes, produced by Spielberg. For those alive to have paid to see it in theaters, and thus treated it as just another movie of its day, dear lord, we found this one obnoxious.

Eric Janssen

The Conjuring 1,2, and 3

Jayson Phillips

trick r treat

Vincent Valentin

Paranormal Activity 1 & 2...

Ellis Hugh

Drag Me to Hell

Tiger Chu

Definitely can't wait to see you watch Goonies, it was a movie I grew up on in the 80's, as was Gremlins actually.

Jeremy Wilson

Also Cabin in the Woods!

C.J. Mack

Goonies and then The Monster Squad

Ryu Kobushi

Doctor Sleep - Director's Cut

A Vicarious View

None of these

Tim

This wasn’t even close for me. Goonies! 😃

K-man2U

Young Frankenstein - should be a must see

JarHead0351

Goonies ain't even that great. Def low AF tier in this list as well........sigh.....

WellNo

The Burbs & Scream are my picks for Natmares

Al Baughman

What happened to the X-men saga?

Luis Camacho

The Goonies is basically Goosebumps level 'scary'. It's really just a pretty neat kids movie. But a classic no less.

Thomas Malley

My Five year old watched these for laughs. Where's 1408? Where's The Ring? Where's Pet Cemetery? Where's World War Z? Where's American Pie Family Reunion? Ya know TERRIFYING stuff!

Aaron Taft

I can't believe another Natmare season is upon us, and I can't be more excited! Hopefully this season we get Tucker & Dale.

TamaMetalPuppet

Tucker and Dale vs Evil is a must. Love Alen Tudyk and Tyler Labine in this movie.

Barry

The Burbs gets my vote

Barry

What's scary in the Goonies ?????

Daniel Vezina

I would have to guess that it's largely nostalgia. That being said, Americans do like stories about underdogs winning and the child actors did a solid job, far better than many child actors. Their performances were better than Culkin's in Home Alone, a movie I love, so maybe there's something to it... I don't see it myself, but each person has their own taste.

Robert Kruger

I’ll be honest, Coraline is pretty scary for an animated movie, definitely creeps me out more than it should. The book is also great.

Mesa Jar Jar Binks

Why is Goonies so popular? Is this a nostalgia thing that I’m not aware of?

Dooly

I don’t hate it, but I don’t adore it nearly as much as everyone else. It’s just so-so for me personally.

Mesa Jar Jar Binks

Monster Squad, Scream, and The Burbs are 3 movies I'm pulling for for this year's Natmares!

David Crabtree

Not on this poll but if it hasn't been recommended yet : Tucker and Dale vs Evil

Pascal Bouchard

why not both?

David

That was such a beautiful season, with just the right amount of scary. Great call if there is room for TV shows now GoT is almost over.

Marc Ammundsen

Love The Goonies, childhood favorite. Nat, I would also recommend The Monster Squad if you want to stay on theme but not leave you with nightmares while alone in a house. It’s just a fun movie with lots of cheese and a few winks, all while showcasing classic Universal monsters and a group of kids trying to stop them.

Ian Forbes

Can you put Gremlins 2 up instead?

Patreoneer

You should definitely watch The Haunting of Hill House as a show throughout October. It’s an incredible horror series but not too scary and filled with well drawn empathetic tragic characters

A.J. Workman

not even a halloween movie

Checo Lara

"Spoopy"?

Skizane

oh I'm down for any of these (except gremlins, since ive never seen it). would love to see your commentary on the rest gradually as well. so excited!!

Spaghetti Man

Let's go Coraline!

Kelvin

Nightmare before Christmas & Goonies in that order is what I would love to see you react to. Glad to see both in the running.

Nexus6

Well it's clear what the winner is here, but I gotta vote for Coraline, the only movie on the list I like.

Robert Kennedy

MirrorMask is another great Coraline-like film. Pretty tough to find though

Mike H

The thing about Nightmare Before Christmas not winning this poll is that we aren't going to get a video titled "The NATmare Before Christmas". The GOLDen world play opportunity would be a huge miss.

Aaron Chandler

Goonies for sure. However since you already saw "The Thing", there is a prequel they made in 2011 simply called "The Thing" again, with no hint it was a prequel, until the first minute of the movie as it takes place just before the last movie at the other base.

Kip 'Captain'

Accdg. to legend, Spielberg told his new-flavor Gremlins writer he wanted The Goonies to be a "live-action version of the Disneyland Pirates of the Caribbean ride". Umm...I don't quite savvy.

Eric Janssen

Goodies would be fun but it is absolutely NOT a horror movie.

Eddie

Spielberg did the story, exec produced it and according to cast pretty much co-directed it so that's why it feels like Spielberg.

Paul Gibbons

Weirdest DeNiro role EVER!!

Mike H

Well that's disappointing lol, hopefully if she ever gets to that one it won't be that much trouble. It'd be nice, that movie is extremely suspenseful.

Marcus Carter

Absolutely Goonies. Filmed in my home state of Oregon, a very early role for Sean Astin, and Josh Brolin's first film role. Also my favorite Richard Donner film other than the original Superman.

Andy Jordan

Corpse Bride too

Paul G

I'm assuming you cried when he sings to his Nanna?

Paul G

Gremlins is actually a X-mas movie.

Matt Gwinn

Valid point, as could Gremlins.

Brian Jones

Not sure Natalie can handle that one while home alone haha

RE

The Goonies, it's not even a competition, yo. lol

Bruce Riggs

One movie I would always recommend to someone looking for some horror to watch, would be Event Horizon. Overlooked and criminally underappreciated, IMO, sci-fi horror flick from the 90s. Also one of the few good movies Paul W.S. Anderson made before he hooked up with Milla Jovovich and started pumping out mediocre Resident Evil movies heh.

Stagger

Obviously the goonies.

L C

*sees The Goonies winning* why am I able to hear the theme song so clearly and I haven't seen it forever omg plz win!

Xanbry

There is NO reason to watch Rocky Horror alone. Especially for heterosexuals. Like “The Room”, it only works with big group audiences, like a live chat, but by itself, is unending torture.

Eric Janssen

Wait what no, Rocky Horror Picture Show??? That is a Halloween must see

JarHead0351

The Goonies isn't...really a horror film. I'd say "Generic 80's Spielberg-knockoff kids film", but it really isn't much of that, either. And anyone who THINKS Tim Burton "directed" Nightmare Before Christmas needs to see Henry Selick's Coraline immediately...It will end all arguments.

Eric Janssen

And, fortunately, is just coming out on Disney Movie Club Blu-ray, which explains why it isn't on Disney+ yet.

Eric Janssen

Something Wicked This Way Comes would be great too! Bradbury is an intergalactic Treasure. The adaptations manage to be very good despite the unfortunate, slight downgrade from the texts.

—thoughtstorms—Keith—

Pootie Tang

Dooly

Goonies!!!!

Doug Watson

I know there’s probably no way this would ever happen but I would enjoy the heck out of a reaction to The Halloween Tree. Based on a book by Ray Bradbury (who also wrote the screenplay) it’s about four kids whose friend is dying and they make a deal with death to chase his soul across time and space and learn about the attitudes toward Halloween and death held by the cultures they come across in the meantime. It won a daytime Emmy.

Ben Wheeler

Nightmare can come up again for Christmas

Ben Wheeler

Goonies is the only correct answer here

Vidcutter

How about “The Others”?

Manny Ayala

Completely ok with every one of these but going with Goonies since she’s never seen it

Ben Wheeler

Both Blind Wave and The Normies have reacted to A Quiet Place and both reactions are really good. It’s actually a pretty good reaction movie, but from what The Normies and Blind Wave have said it’s really hard to edit because there isn’t dialogue to match clips to.

Dante

I was really, really hoping that, while she's got her movies going for Natmare season, that she also uses The Haunting of Hill House as a regular series reaction ( the way she's done the Marvel series and GoT, etc).

Holly R

The butterfly effect might be a decent movie to add to the list

Elliot

The Conjuring films will give you good scares and they are based on true stories .

Robert Barnard

Going easy on yourself Nat? These are some pretty tame Natmares. ;) Out of the films listed here I would REALLY like to see Nightmare Before Christmas win (not looking good though), as it's golden in regards to the score. Danny Elfman performed his heart out on that soundtrack and I would highly recommend you check it out on your own time as it's a classic and practically a musical, so I think it would be right up your alley. I would certainly suggest putting A Quiet place and Hereditary up for votes this year. Both would be great. Will check out Parasite tomorrow. Stay Golden.

Brian Jones

Let the Natmares begin!!! *jump for joy*

Sean

I'm sitting out for this poll. Somehow I've never seen any of these movies, so I'll be happy with whatever is picked!

Dave A

You need to watch the movie Legend 1985 staring Tom Cruise and Tim curry it's one of Tom Cruise first

bryon wilcock

Maybe next year you can do Hocus Pocus 2 for Natmares. It is apparently due for release on Disney + next year with the original trio of witches!

Marc Ammundsen

You should do An American Werewolf in London this NatMare season. It's been on your spreadsheet. I think it's your kind of movie. Interesting plot, likable characters, and some ground-breaking effects.

Alan Kobb

I love that film, but not sure how it might translate to a reaction format...?

Marc Ammundsen

I vote for Coraline. It's such a good movie.

Alex

Train to Busan is an excellent zombie movie.

I'm Just Alex

You should have "A quiet place", in the next Natmare poll or at some point, I'm sure that'd be a good one.

Marcus Carter

Bro if Coraline doesn’t win

Ryan macias

The Goonies is definitely not a Halloween movie. The fact I hate it with a passion is neither here nor there 😉

The Goateed Geek

Goonies has my vote. It isn't a scary movie at all (wasn't for me as a kid, at least). I've been wanting you to watch that for a grip now - so I'm hoping that it wins! :)

Logan Kerlee

I voted for Coraline! I watched Coraline with my niece. I didn't think I would enjoy the movie, but it was great! With that being said, please continue with the Hannibal series. Also, check out the original It, and follow that one up with the new It 1 & It 2 films. Yes, Nat, watch them alone! LOL!

Matt D

Def. a Christmas movie, but awesome anytime.

TexasNight

The Frighteners is an fantastic movie! I really hope she watches it at some point

Matt Adams

have you ever seen scream? it was my first "scary" movie back in the day as i was way to scared to watch stuff like friday the 13th and holloween lol, the ghostface character seemed like the lesser of evils, to this day still have never watched a freddy Krueger movie

Garlicjr Made

All of those are a must! I don't think of Goonies as a Halloween movie though. You could do that one anytime and the fans will clamor. Maybe too late for this poll but The Frighteners ( Peter Jackson's first Hollywood film and starring Michael J. Fox) or The Monster Squad would be right up Natmare Alley!

Alvin Santos

Romero's Dead trilogy..

Paul Gibbons

I have seen it! So beautiful 😭

Natalie Gold

Oh I’d forgotten about that one! Good idea

Natalie Gold

I LOVE Hocus Pocus!! I just wanted to do movies I haven’t seen much and I’m very familiar with that one

Natalie Gold

need to do at least one zombie movie during Natmares Nat :P

MakaPeji

I’ll recommend “Nightmare Before Christmas” to anyone, but save it till the end of the Halloween movie viewing season; it makes for a great transition piece into the holidays. Same goes for “Gremlins”, but on a lesser scale.

Nick of Time

Two of these are Christmas-themed movies and the other two aren’t really what I would call horror. That being said, I’m voting for “Coraline”, because it’s just such a unique film.

Nick of Time

Gremlins is more of a Christmas movie.

Matthew Jaszyn

Pretty light on the scares there, Nat, :-) Have you seen Gremlins 2? It's a fun film, not quite as dark as the first one.

Bruce Bromley

These are all great movies, but I'll have to go with Coraline. As much as I love The Goonies, as an 80s kid, I'm not convinced that it holds up that well. Coraline is simultaneously sweet and creepy and just a good film.

Robert C

This choice was a tough one. Nightmare before XMas is a masterpiece. But Coraline is an equally worthy pick. +Nightmare

Laro

What about the Sequel/Prequel to The Thing?

Tadpoleaxe

If you also want something lighter, Hocus Pocus is a classic now I think!

Marc Ammundsen

And Samwise Gamgee!

Paul G

If you are prepared for a proper scary (zombie) movie, try Train to Busan! If zombies are too much for you, Pan's Labyrinth is an all time fave.

Marc Ammundsen

Tough to choose between Nightmare before Christmas and Coraline!

Marc Ammundsen

The Goonies is essential.

Joe Blankenship

I assume you're too young to have grown up with it, when you watch it, it will enlighten your soul and you'll like the end of GOT lol.

Paul Gibbons

I grew up on the Goonies. I adore the Goonies. But I've heard it's not the same for those without any built-in nostalgia. Very interested in the reaction from a set of fresh eyes.

Bob Wagstaff

Coraline is one of my favourite films, straight up.

Sinewmire

Goonies and Gremlins are 2 of my all time favorites from childhood. I could never get into the stop motion animation of the Burton movies, but I know a lot of people love them.

Brian Moore

Do people still bring hot dogs? It's been a while since I've been to a showing.

Luis Torrefranca

For future non-scary Halloween polling, do consider Casper, Hocus Pocus, Monster House. Still somewhat light could be Monster Squad

Matthew Periolat

Goonies is certainly the best movie out of these but it's also the least spoopy. I'm not sure how I feel about this.

The Golgothan

Gremlins is a Christmas movie. I recommend for Halloween you watch "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" if you have never seen it. However, the best way to see it is with fans at a midnight showing with everyone dressed in costumes and bringing all the required props ie Toast, a newspaper, rice, squirt guns, cards.

Wesley Eskildsen

Goonies isn't a movie to see as an adult in the 21st century, I'm sorry it doesn't hold up...

Casen Jamvo

I'm always a bit surprised by the movies Nat has never seen lol

john collins

I think she just wants to watch it.

Paul Gibbons

I like the Goonies well enough, but I have to throw my vote towards Coraline.

damage3245

How did Goonies make the Natmares list nothing remotely Halloweenish about it…still a fun time tho

Charlie Keeler

For when you do eventually do some really scary ones; two excellent sci-fi horror films: Event Horizon, and Pandorum

SmokeAndACoffee

Ugh I know I'm in the minority but the goonies is not good

Rey

Coraline is awesome because Laika does incredible animation work. Hope to see reactions to all the Laika movies assuming you haven't seen them.

Louis Lopez

Ooh. I have a feeling nostalgia is important for most peoples (including my own) love of The Goonies.

My_Cousin_Mose

They're intermediaries/transitional-period movies. Also, quite agreed... Goonies never say die! Except when they're saying that they never say it... but otherwise...! - Besides, young Thanos!

Misty Crom

Goonies is more of a nostalgic kid's movie. Ala Neverending Story. I'm afraid she'll think it's too corny

It Hurt A Lot

Goodies doesn't hit with adults now as it did children when it came out. It's aimed at that age group almost too well, and a ton of movies have lifted ideas from it since.

nitind

Happy Friday, Natalie! 😊 This was a tough choice between two if the movies. "The Goonies" ended up getting my vote. As much as I love the movie "Gremlins", that's more of a Christmas movie. Hope that your wifi straightens out. Have a great day today! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Randee Carreno

Coraline needs to win, but it won't 🙁

tezster

Had to go with Goonies bc it's a classic that must be watched, and Goonies never say die... Gremlins is a Christmas movie, and the same argument could be made for Nightmare Before Christmas...

Jon Henagan

Not necessarily scary, but has the Halloween season vibe.

Luis Torrefranca

I genuinely adore the other films in this poll but even with a rilly big stick, you can't beat the goonies.

Improperganda Arts

Good luck with whatever is going on in home Natalie! Weather technical problems or otherwise. Though I especially understand technical issues. I always tend to have audio issues which are the worst to deal with. Excited for my first Natmare season and what movies come of it!

LightsCameraJake

Oh i see what you did there

Paul Gibbons

But you can't go wrong with "Coraline" either, both are Henry Selick, and your reactions to the Other Mother would be something to behold.

David Trumble

Suggestion for the overall list: "Stardust" ghosts and witches and pirates and stuff

Luis Torrefranca

"Hey you guys.."

Paul Gibbons

really hope coraline makes it at some point!!!

noshanelle

I'm gonna selfishly vote for "Nightmare" because I just finished working with its director, Henry Selick, on his latest stopmotion feature and the guy's a stone cold genius. Also, you'd get to literally call it "The Natmare Before Christmas"!

David Trumble

When I was growing up we battled over which was better. Gremlins or Critters. It got heated. Like Coke vs Pepsi. Ford vs. Chevy. Toilet Paper over vs. under.

Aaron Chandler

Third this, doesn't that carry the motion. Day of the Dead is Nov 2nd this year.

Paul G

Havent seen the goonies either

Simon Bauer

So she needs to do Goonies first and then make sure that Coraline is next. That's my take away from this whole thing.

Aaron Chandler

Polls aside, you will LOVE Coraline!

LarryJ nyc

Gremlins is a Christmas movie, meant to be watched sitting next a nice warm fire in the fireplace, munching on microwaved popcorn, while snow is lightly falling and carolers wander the neighborhood spreading cheer and good feelings.

Mike H

I'm really hoping we can get Tucker and Dale vs Evil, or Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon in this year

Ronny Boss

I'd definitely say Gremlins, because it leads to Gremlins 2 which is fantastic!

Tim Brown

all good, But hoping for Coraline in the upcoming season.

GoldLick

I recommend John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness, and The Prophecy with Christopher Walken (look for Viggo Mortensen's appearance at the end)

Sean Novack

Happy Friday nat funny thing literally 30 mins ago I was thinking what if after the freezing issues something happens and no Friday upload and here we are I jinxed you I apologise 😊 hope tyler has had a trouble free week so far 🤞 tough poll this one goonies is fantastic, gremlins is just great but more for Christmas time for me, coraline is a visual stunning movie albeit creepy also 😱, nightmare before Christmas another good one so oh my a really difficult decision this one 🤔

Ian

All great choices, but I have a soft spot in my heart for Gremlins and Nightmare Before Christmas.

Sandu Bogi Nasse

You should really watch Crimson Peak- it’s scary, hauntingly beautiful, and it has Tom Hiddleston🖤🖤🖤🖤

Brookie

I can't agree but I do love this movie.

My_Cousin_Mose

That’s fair! But i would argue both is true. It’s both overrated and drowned in unearned nostalgia. There’s like a four year period of birthdate of people who enjoy that movie and they all needed to be under 8 when they saw it for the first time

Mike Arrison

Goonies will be good enough!

My_Cousin_Mose

One of the most false statements I’ve ever seen

Mike Arrison

U should add paranorman next time. Really underrated. One of my standard Halloween time watches

Elisa H.

Would love for nat to react to the conjuring universe or the Michael Myers universe (the canon ones)

FateMalone

Totally second this!!!

Mike Arrison

I wouldn't be mad about Coraline. It's a weird one and it'd be real fun to see her get weirded out.

Aaron Chandler

I'm so rooting for Coraline here, even though all of them are fantastic options!

Diego Arguedas

Goonies never say die!!!

Patrick Egan

Goonies is good but im a bigger fan of Gremlins and it's more of Halloweenish movie.

Andrew Clifton

Unacceptable! I demand a restitution! Oh wait, my vote actually might win a poll for a change. Ok, I'm all good now. Goonies may not be Halloween in a traditional sense, but it's got moments that scare little kids, and it's a fun adventure.

If Nat hasn't seen Coco, I would love that to be a lighthearted movie that she does close to dia de los muertos

Lisa Tosti

Haven't seen Coraline and would love to see it with Natalie but The Goonies is my Favorite Movie so...

Libardo Torres

Goonies is one of the greatest movies ever made :)

Ryan Pascall

All good movies, but I adore Nightmare before Christmas and Gremlins in particular.

Berry

All good choices, but despite not being a Halloweenish movie, I'm going with Goonies.

RE

I don't think it's that it is rated particularly high. It's more that people confuse getting that warm nostalgic feeling with objectively thinking something is good.

David

Coralline is great, please win 🙏 Have a feeling Goonies will take it

Mark Pingitore

Knights of Badassdom is also a great not really scary Halloween flick

Nathan Swapp

You visited the location a few weeks back Nat, so it has to be The Goonies to get Natmare season rolling 💛

Darryl Low

Definitely goonies

Snoutinthedark

Never seen Goonies so fingers crossed for that one.

WackySwacky

Literally not a bad choice in the group. I'm gonna wait to vote for the underdog.

David

Off topic, but does anybody know if nat has ever seen the Incredibles movies? Thanks

TrackHoodie

Anything but Goonies. Its so overrated.
