2025-05-22 15:18:14 +0000 UTCI’ve only recently watched the mission impossible movies with Reel Rejects, and if you ever consider continuing reacting to the sequels, I just want to warn you, that in my opinion, the second one is a cheese filled cringe macho movie that focuses more on the sexy fem fatale and two men fighting with all the testosterone in the world than the spy aspects, which is my favourite part of the movies. I was hesitant to continue watching but was absolutely ecstatic with the third movie that seemed to ground the franchise with themes and storytelling that continues on with each movie and in my opinion just kept on getting better with every sequel. Hope you enjoy!

2025-05-14 11:09:16 +0000 UTCAs you not doubt observed, the 2nd movie is a bit of a love-it-or-hate-it, many on both sides. I think you should form your own opinion, its part of the series, perhaps more standalone than any other, so you wont lose much of the arc of the series if you skip. But you should see it, and if you do come down on the dislike side, don't let it be a reason to stop there. The entire series has wonderful character introductions, breathtaking stunts, and seriously interesting locations. Personally, I find the remaining ones nearly all better than the first, with quite different tones and stories that make more sense. Old friends, new friends, its all a fun ride, so i hope you take the plunge.
