FIRST TIME WATCHING: Attack on Titan S1E9&10

Comments

I forgot to mention in the previous episodes ; Levi is a regular favorite. There were a lot of girls cosplaying as Levi. Probably still are. You find out more about Levi in season 3. I mentioned before, there are episodes in season one that feel like long droning on fillers, but it does get better and gets more intense on season 2,3, and 4. Did I mention Levi is a favorite in this series? lol

Don't worry about the after-credit scenes, there aren’t as many. I’ll tell you exactly which episodes have one: 25, 49, 56, 59, and 63. But I do recommend watching every new outro in AOT, because they’re absolutely amazing!

Ngl, episode 9 is probably one of my least favorite episodes bc of all this miscommunication conflict. It feels a bit too forced imo. But at the same time, it's totally understandable to be confused about eren. They've already explained how they know basically nothing about the titans, and they just experienced the worst thing to happen in 5 years. Ofc they're gonna be jumpy. Also idk about the dialogue sometimes. The actual ~story~ is fantastic, trust me. The twists and explanations for those twists that come later in the show are gonna knock your damn socks off. But the dialogue can sometimes feel a little exposition and drama heavy. Edit- godamn rewarding episode 10 is just reminding me how damn SLOW this first season moves. Holy christ man- I really love this show but I appreciate that they stopped showing EVERY DAMN THOUGHT every character has. I promise it ain't this melodramatic in later seasons, I think these 2 are just some serious filler episodes. Like these both absolutely could've been 1 episode if they cut out the repetitive Armin self doubt.

Aberrant just means "abnormal" so Levi was calling Hange abnormal.

Hi Nat. The general rule of AoT is to just keep watching until the show says "To Be Continued". If it doesn't say "To Be Continued" it means there are something else left in the show after the credits. I think most of us AoT fans have done this mistake at least a few times :D

Hi Nat, how is it recording a Patreon exclusive video, is it easier as you dont have to talk as much as you do for a a YouTube video?

This is good to know. This is my third time trying to get through this show and these episodes are excruciating.

Happy Thursday Nat. This show is always pulling out the surprises. I'm excited to see how these powers are used as the story unfolds.

This was my first anime too way back when. I was initially turned off to anime because of the inner monologues and what not slowing down the pacing, but I can confidently say that it gets better in that department to the point where I forgot that was an issue for me.

??

Damn i forgot how much recapin and reiteratin is done these earlier episodes

??

No spoilers: the differences in pacing of these first few episodes can be jarring -- Episode 3 spanned three years, but most of Episode 10 seemingly took place in an internal monologue during a few minutes. If I remember correctly, I think there will only be a few more (maybe two) of these slower, internally focused episodes this season.

Whatever you do don't look up their names please.
