Drake Hall | June Release!

Hey all!

Today we're here with June's Drake Hall content!

This month's content introduces the Apothecary to the village, where rare herbs can be identified or bought, and potions brewed! We also have a random encounter for Buried Treasure, which provides a quest hook to our new Kelpie Lake map!

Apothecary

This Apothecary and herbalist shop spans two floors, and several supporting buildings. Here, the village alchemist (a good-natured witch) has long served the village in matters of healing and herblore. Here, the group are able to buy potions, or commission the brewing or more complex draughts and elixirs if they can source the materials from the Drake Hall region on their adventures. Variants are included for day/night.

Foundry users are able to climb up/down the stairs of the building, and pass beneath the overhead canopies.

Buried Treasure

A random encounter ready to be triggered at your discretion - this scene finds the group stumbling upon some very ill-timed bandits as they finish excavating a treasure chest they've been hunting down. After a potentially violent altercation the group might look through the contents of the chest to discover riches, Drake Hall lore, and clues towards another location with even greater potential rewards. Variants are included for day/night.

Foundry users are able to pass beneath the overhead tree canopies.

Kelpie Lake

A tranquil lake sits surrounded by steep banks in this quiet section of the Drake Hall forest. A small island sits in the middle, with a treasure chest conspicuously on display. A strange spirit has been seen galloping over the water's surface at night, and Kelpie Lake is notorious for an unusual amount of drownings - often attributed to the steep riverbanks. Variants are included for day/night.

Characters who find and defeat the creature haunting the lake will find that it provides materials that Darrow at the Steelscale Smithy is able to fashion into new equipment, and the plants of the lake bed are valuable to the apothecary!

Foundry users are able to make the most of Kelpie Lake being our first above/underwater map! The water's surface is a canopy set at 0ft elevation, meaning once a character's elevation is reduced below this they submerge themselves and explore an entirely separate map as the lakebed opens up to them!

Drake Hall is available on pCloud for All the Things tier Patrons, and the Foundry module has been updated!
