Growing up, my dad emphasized the importance of having a very strong work-ethic and being intelligent. He always said I was blessed with the female version of his good looks (of course he would 😂) but my smarts would be worth much more... Years later, when I joined the office workforce and we were commuting, he completely changed his tune and said we were all cursed for being smart because smart people just suffer more than regular people, and working hard at a day job is worthless compared to having connections and people judge based on looks before all else. Whoops!
Being frumpy isn't a sin, but sometimes a girl just needs a little bit of confidence to get through the workday! Sometimes, you just wanna get by by looking cute! Life is also much easier when you don't think much to begin with...
