This is a Sketch Exclusive, a Patreon-exclusive summary of stuff from the month, interesting things I just canβt help but share, and other ramblings!
---
I can't believe I have had my Chadtow account for 7 months now. That's insane, drawing-wise, it feels like only 2 weeks have passed. Though, with working my dead-end day job, it also feels like 15 years have passed just in this past week. That's really confusing. Let's put that aside and take a look at this month's sketch exclusive!
---
This Month's Upgrades:
November is such a great month for learners! With Black Friday deals all around, I was able to get some great learning resources at a fraction of the normal costs.
Some brand new drawing books, collected from various sales this month:

I also bit the bullet and got the Clip Studio EX Subscription for iPad on the Black Friday sale. This one still cost so much it hurt, especially since I have the full PC license already, but the iPad screen is much easier on the eyes than my Huion tablet, so after much deliberation I gave in. Now I have no excuse to not be productive. π Next, I'll have to port (maybe sync? though I don't know how) everything to the iPad version.

What's Coming Up Next?
A sneak peek! The results of the latest Patreon poll time are in the process of being drawn! Here's "Chungus", the victim of the transformation:
These screencaps don't show his greasiness in its full glory, but I've had to extend the canvas a few times cos he's dang large. πΉ I can't wait to show you his female version! There's at least 10 hours of work remaining on the piece, but so far so good!

Cartoon Prototyping:
I've shown off my anime style (which is my lifelong love), my painterly style (the other one that I sometimes like on and off) and now I want to incorporate something to finish this un-holy trinity: cartoony style! These days I can't get more than 3-4 hours of sleep a night, it just doesn't happen for me, and I think it's because of the stress from my worthless day job. To pass the time until morning, I've been watching quite a few of my childhood cartoons and even cartoons made before I was even born.
I recently got an idea for a cartoon/comic where an exiled, ex-communicated genie named Saffron living in the human world goes around transforming people that she considers "inferior" and "idiotic". Why? Because they make wishes in vain that they clearly don't mean! Somebody's got to teach them a lesson about only wishing for what they actually want, and Saffron is more than happy to be the one to do it.
Here's how I imagine our queen, Saffron:

And some concepts on how the cookie-cutter beautiful people of Saffron's world could look like:

While this is just a concept/dream in my mind, I do hope that one day I'll have enough time to tell this story. I hope you enjoyed this detour into cartoony style!
