Sketch Exclusive - April 2022

This is a Sketch Exclusive, a Patreon-exclusive summary of stuff from the month, interesting things I just can’t help but share, and other ramblings!

This month was an emotional rollercoaster! Work is still strangling me. and I got my full driving license after failing the first time (where they made me wait for 2 hours because they "lost my test reservation" and then sent along a rude examiner who screamed at me and failed me for no reason) The week after that, I got a perfect score from a different examiner so that was uncalled for and pretty sus. Anyways! On to the art portion!

WIP Sneak Peak

The next image up for completion is this transformation sequence! The theme is "hiking" except our friend here doesn't seem to be that interested in hiking. I can't blame him, I get itchy as soon as I try walking outdoors. But! That's not an excuse! And we will fix him up soon ;) 

Improvement Items

Did I say that this month made me an emotional wreck? Aside from eating my feelings this month, I also spent quite a bit on art improvement stuff other than the usual few books, brushes, etc~.

Most notably, I've got some Ken Sugimori body kun/chan figures on the way! I had preordered these months back and I was sitting there thinking they would get cancelled since the release date passed so long ago. Nope! They suddenly got shipped yesterday and charged an eyebrow-raising amount. I'm as excited as I am shocked, but that's life!

There will be a related surprise for board members later today - bring your OCs!

My Other Project

Unrelated to my Chadtow stuff, about 7-8 months ago, my friend and I started an NFT project. (And yes, it has taken me over 7-8 months to just create the art for the reveal). I know a lot of people's preconceptions about this kind of stuff aren't positive, but results from such projects have been life-changing for many already popular artists recently. While I'm not big or popular by any means, I do hope to find some success in this aspect so that I can become an artist full-time and dedicate my life to it.
