Its not necessarily the model being hard to work with but more so the weirdness with baking textures in blender.
Due to how the warframes color/shade in-game, the models dont use normal diffuse and specular textures so having to append the materials and disabling any textures issues in the shader editor can make baking, which is already finicky, to be more inconsistent at times.

Are Warframe models hard to work with sometimes? I notice the surface details don't look quite as good as the Trinity one here. Is there a technical reason it might be a little wonky porting that over sometimes? (Still good implementation though)
Edit: Actually looks better in game than I thought. Who knew
