I really like the worldbuilding for the setting, and if you're familiar with Xianxia or Wuxia parts of it will seem thematically similar, but my goal isn't for it to be the same 'golden core formation, time to slap the faces of young masters' that we've all read a hundred times before.
My focus in writing his is to try and make it a bit of a cultural study. The main character is adrift and trying to find himself in a strange land and the book is supposed to be almost as much about who he is as where he's going. Also he's gonna stab things and use magic a lot so I hope you enjoy it!
