Tekken 8: Original Nina P1 Outfit Remake

The first ever King of Iron First Tournament game, debuted in arcades and was at one time titled 'Rave War'. That was waaaay back in 1994 (the PSX release was a year later in 1995), so it is quite possible a lot of gamers nowadays may have never seen it. It was pretty rough, with the characters having a lot less polygons than they do today. Still, that didn't prevent a blonde bombshell named Nina Williams from catching my eye. That's because Miss Williams was one of the rare, early Barefoot Babes in Gaming.

Nina's Original P1 consisted of a skin-tight outfit with a tank top, capri-length pants with a yellow sash, bracelets and an ankle brace on one leg. But of course most important was that she was barefoot, with bright red nail polish on her finger and toenails being a pretty sexy detail.

Yeah, you could appreciate this mostly in her quite primitive but still sexy CG render/art, since her in-game model was not quite high in detail. Despite that, they still put in a few red pixels to show her red toenails on the tips of her blocky feet. The P1 Outfit was also her first costume to have her trademark Purple (and Blue) colors.

Unfortunately, in succeeding games, while the devs kept Nina wearing her purple colors, they apparently forgot her being a barefooter. Which is annoying, since her going barefoot would have been a nice contrast to Anna, who fought wearing high heels. Anyway, we would never really see the Original Barefoot P1 ever again, though awesome barefoot modder Scam made an excellent remake mod of it for Streetfighter X Tekken.

Most recently, modder Lilotty actually made a Tekken 8 mod recreating the outfit, but unfortunately it leaves a bit to be desired since for some reason the mod gives Nina a rather thick stomach. Suffice to say, not my type (and unfortunately, the modder is quite stubborn and not open to fixing it).

However, a recent mod release by modder FINE AKA NoBrandBurger has allowed me to make a nice approximation/remake of Nina's original barefoot look. His mod, called Gym Wear, gives a one-piece fitness outfit which has a sexy midriff-baring top and capri-length yoga pants, and is usable with our Feet Overhaul mod. After equipping it and coloring it with blue and purple, I added the horse tail accessory to fill in for the yellow sash, used the Fertexhid accessory mod to give her red fingernails and then equipped the Colored Nails Feet Mod variant for her iconic red toenails.

It's not perfect or exact, but I think this is a decent update to Nina's original barefoot look. What do you all think? I'll be sure to have Nina in action in this nostalgic outfit from here on. For now, enjoy the pics!

UPDATE: I've decided to tweak her customization a bit. Removed the yellow 'sash' (which was actually the Horse Tail item) and replaced that accessory with gloves (from Fertexhid's accessory mod). It's not exact to her original design since she had bracers back then, but this is closer than her being totally bare-handed. Finally, changed her nail color to a lighter shade of red/dark pink, since the previous color was too dark.

UPDATE 2: LOL I am so anal. Anyway, I had commissioned FINE to revise the mod to change the slot of the included hairstyle. The mod has also been revised to maintain the girls' original and default physiques (the default mod, um, enhanced their boob size considerably). That's the way I like 'em. This meant a whole new batch of screens to reflect the change. Last update for this, I hope.
