VF5 REVO Release Date, 30th Anniversary Content... and Swimsuits!

On their VF DIrect Broadcast, Sega via their CEO and producers announced various things on their fighting franchise. The new entry in the series, currently only known as "VF Project" is set as the upcoming sequel and they have formally announced that "Virtua Fighter is Back!"
While the new VF is still a long way off, other things are still in in motion for much, much sooner. An update to the existing VF5 Ultimate Showdown on PS4 will be available today with new stuff to enhance the existing game, like redone hit effects, balance tweaks and more.
But more importantly is news for VF5 REVO for Steam. This new PC edition of VF5 will release on January 28, 2025. An open beta can be played starting right NOW.
VF5 REVO will have a 30th Anniversary Edition which will include exclusive content like Swimsuits (and, yes, they're barefoot) for all the fighters, 60FPS and 4K resolution, rollback netcode, all the classic modes, customization and more. Needless to say... I'm sold. We'll have a new game in our stable in late January- probably more or less at the same time we get Mai for SF6.
