Tekken 8: Feet Mod 'Tekken 6' Edition WIP Screens!

What's this? More news about the NecDaz's Tekken 8 Feet Overhaul mod? Isn't the mod already finished and released? Well, yes and no. The first version of the mod is done and out in the world free to download. So what is this? Well, its a second variant of the mod that is meant to emulate the feet models of Tekken 6.

For those not quite religiously following the Tekken franchise, Tekken 6 came out over 15 years ago, first in arcades and then on PS3 (the game can be revisited on PS3 emulators on PC today btw). It was a pretty good upgrade from the previous game, significantly upping the quality and detail of the character models as well as introducing new gameplay elements that are still in action today in some form or another. The game however seems to be not quite as popular among many gamers, and is a bit of an underappreciated chapter in Tekken.

That said, I am sure Footlovers value T6 for the simple fact that it was in this game that Barefoot Customization first appeared, as the Character Customization allowed much more to be done, including actual additional costumes/clothes to be worn by the fighters, as opposed to Tekken 5's customization which mostly just consisted of pasting random objects on the fighters' bodies.

Anyway, Tekken 6's female feet models were quite good at the time, and were characterized by nice, lifelike and fleshy soles. They were quite appealing so years later, there are still fans who regard Tekken 6's feet with much love... hence this variant to bring back Tekken 6-style feet for Tekken 8.

So NecDaz and our modders are currently working on the Tekken 6 Feet Version mod, and you can see the initial screens above. The feet are characterized by more emphasis on the soles, smaller and cute toes which seem to be more aligned to a descending order of length from the big toe- so distinctly different from the first Feet mod. For the record, I am not a fan of this version, and am perfectly happy with the First version mod. So, I'll say it right now I won't be using the T6 version of the Feet Overhaul, but anyone wanting it can of course download and use it for themselves once the mod is finished and available.
