About a day or so ago, Sandfall Interactive, the studio behind the upcoming TTRPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, posted art for their main characters as cosplay guides. Of course, I just had to grab and post the artwork of one particular female character- the barefoot beauty, Lune!
So yep, this beautiful mage easily caught my eye the first time I saw trailers for this game- I legit did a double take, thinking, "Is that girl barefoot?" Fortunately, my foot-detecting eyes did not fail me. Yep, Lune's design has her barefooted, fully-dressed in a cool costume with capri-length pants and a nice asymmetrical element. Got to say, I just find bare feet with capris irresistible on a gorgeous lady, so I am instantly a Lune fan. I assume she goes barefooted due to how her powers or abilities work, which is also alluded to with how some runes or markings appear on her shins in some screenshots/art. Perhaps her spellcasting/magic requires the use of all her limbs to cast?
We frequently see her running during exploration barefoot, though every kind of terrain in-game, so I guess she's either got very tough feet and is used to being always barefoot, or her magic protects her feet from harm. I am interested to see how they address or explain this in the game, or if they just go with it. They definitely are sure to attract foot lovers, whether that's intended or not. Fortunately as well that this French/western game studio does not partake in the uglification fad that's been the bane of many recent games.
Anyway, that's a lot of text just for me to say that I am definitely picking up Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 when it releases in April. I do hope Lune has a happy or good ending in store for her. We'll see once this barefoot babe is ours.
