Tekken 8 Cosplay: Makoto Rindou (Updated)

It's been a while since I last played around with Tekken 8 Character Customization, but here we are again with a work that's long overdue. Actually, I think I've tried at this character at least once before, with not very satisfactory results. But thanks to some mods and accessories that are now available, I think I've gotten a pretty nice version of one of my favorite Streetfighters ever.

Makoto Rindou comes to Tekken 8, via this customization for Lidia. Yeah, we've had the Karate Gi for females from one of the early Battle Passes, but I really felt the sleeveless, ripped top wasn't her. There was also the problem of her iconic scarf, which trailed behind her like a flowing tail. Before, I tried doing that with a hair extension, but it just looked weird. All these and I used her with Reina, which is also a good fighter to use, particularly for her KO scream, but in the end I went with Lidia, since her character, stances and intros are more fitting for the Mak.

So this is an older version of Makoto- and she has a scar to show that she's been through some fights. We're using the upper garment from the Flame Gi mod by Stoner037 (which I highly recommend for fans of Karate Girls) which has sleeves, that I feel are important as Makoto is the head of her Dojo, so she must have a proper Gi Top. For the pants though, I decided to go with the pants of the Battle Pass Karate Gi. The ripped ends of the pants feel right, showing that this Gi is still Makoto's old karate outfit and shows the age and tear of years of fighting (you can still use the Flame Gi pants if you prefer, or don't have the BP costume). I colored the entire outfit light grey (just the color atop pure white) because while her outfit is clean, age has turned it grey. An alternate would be Pink,

Finally, the Tekken 8 Monk Robe item from the Miko Battle Pack set fills in for Makoto's signature neck scarf, along with the Leather Bangle, placed on her neck. The old cloth ribbon has become charged with Makoto's Ki, swirling around her as she fights (done by equipping the Yellow Hands and Feet Aura).

I just wish there was a better hairstyle to use- currently its the Lee Center Parted Hair. If a good short hairstyle that's closer to Makoto's look comes along I'll switch to it. For now this is okay. Wish there were more front bangs, but it'll do for now.

Also, one funny and cool detail with picking Lidia- her Car intro suits her perfectly I think, showing that Makoto's hard work has paid off and the Rindoukan Dojo is doing pretty well! It's good that Makoto gets driven around to her fights so she doesn't have to walk there by herself...

What do you think? I actually really like how this turned out, so we'll be seeing her in action soon. I'll keep showing off my Makoto from TEMU until the SF6 Devs add her to the roster for real...
