Tekken 8 Cosplay: Marin Kitagawa (My Dress Up Darling)
Added 2025-07-17 06:54:54 +0000 UTCIt's been a while since I last posted a Tekken 8 Cosplay feature, hasn't it? Well, here we are with another one, and I am kinda miffed that I didn't think of this so much sooner. We've got one of the most beloved and cutest anime waifus in the King of Iron Fist Tournament- Marin Kitagawa from My Dress Up Darling.
Why did it take so long? Well, when you think of this blonde, red-eyed sweetie, you immediately think of the sexy bikini from that hot measuring scene from Season 1, Episode 2 (easily a foot-lover favorite). That swimsuit is pretty iconic, and its been made into mods to death in other games. So far I haven't seen one for T8. I would have probably had to commission one, but then I thought- hey, why not do something else for Marin? So yeah, I went with making her school uniform look instead.
Its pretty easy- a long sleeved white shirt with a blue tie, and a short, blue skirt (of course ours is much shorter thanks to the Ultrashort Miniskirts mod...). As for Marin herself we use that other long blonde hairstyle, colored all light yellow/blonde, color her eyes red (need an eye color mod) and there she is! Yeah, we're missing her choker, but what can you do. If I worked hard a bit, we could probably use an accessory for that, but I feel it isn't that important.
So yeah, I chose Lili 'cause she's a perfect Marin, at least in looks- the big eyes, the super-adorable poutiness and well, the overall magical air she has, plus style and grace. Yeah, we could have gone with XIaoyu (to pair with our 'Gojo' Jin), and sure, she is more height accurate, I guess... but I think Lili is cuter.
I think we got a pretty good cosplay of the anime cosplay waifu, what do you all think? Expect to see Marin Rochefort (or is it Lili Kitagawa?) in action from here on.
