Tekken 8 Cosplay: Maki Genryusai (Final Fight/Streetfighter)
Added 2025-09-24 21:41:04 +0000 UTCIt's been a while since the last Tekken 8 Cosplay, so here we go again. This is a character I've been trying to do for a long while, but I realized I haven't actually made a formal cosplay post for her. This is, of course, Maki Genryusai, the blonde-hared Bushin-ryu Kunoichi from the Final Fight (Final Fight 2 originally), rival to Guy (and sister to his fiancee) and all-around hottie. Her most recent in-game appearance is in the recently-released Capcom Fighting Collection 2, specifically in Streetfighter Alpha 3 Upper (PSP port) in which she was added along with Eagle.
Needless to say, I'm always a fan of ninja girls, and Maki here is one of the hotter ones- dare I say she is my favorite Capcom kunoichi (even more than Ibuki), but sadly she has yet to appear in a canon Streetfighter title- who knows, maybe she'll join Streetfighter 6 eventually?
Till then, we can have her here in Tekken 8, recreated in Character Customization. We're using Reina, of course, since I think they share a brash, arrogant personality, they're both martial arts babies and probably grew up in and around a Dojo, and well, they're both hot. I'm using the Upper Garment/Top from the Flame Gi mod by Stoner037, which he nicely updated very recently (as in a couple of days before the writing of this post). The bottoms are the Thong undies from Nobrandburger, which is unfortunately no longer publicly available (any underwear will do as to your tastes).
The newest change to the look are the Bandage Wraps on her feet. Maki generally has the Bushin-ryu sneakers, but of course we want her barefooted- in this case, the Wraps are semi-barefoot so meets our standard, and they look great since they've been converted to be usable with our Tekken 8 Female Feet Overhaul (update to latest version). Of course you need to unlock them in the Battle Pass first to use them, but they're kinda worth it so keep grinding. Expect to see the wraps on the Tekken Babes from here on.
To complete the character, we equipped the Traffic Baton item to stand in for Maki's trademark Tonfa (its usable as well). The Shinobi Short Blade at her back is just to reinforce that she's a ninja.
I think this is our Maki 1.0 and she's done and ready to fight! Expect to see her in action (and in KOs) from here on. For now, enjoy the screens!
