Update
Added 2020-09-15 20:01:49 +0000 UTCUgh, I thought this issue would've been resolved but Streamable informed me that my videos are using a lot of bandwidth and now like what Vimeo tried to do they want me to pay $1500 a month for streamable. Which is ridiculous, maybe a year but A MONTH!!
Trying to resolve this issue, I know Yaboyroshi ran into this problem
but I am starting to upload my videos again with a smaller file size and hoping that will help the issue.
Hoping this can get resolved because I am tired of constantly changing video platforms.

Guess x264 should be fine with lowering the Video Bitrate from 8000 to maybe 4500 or 4000. Dont know how much Traffic there is right now, maybe 150-300TB in a Month depending on how many People watch each anime, but then it would be about half of it

2020-09-16 10:43:37 +0000 UTCThis can't be real, just do nothing and we'll see if they do something, maybe it's a scam ! Have you tried dailymotion ?
LifeNote
2020-09-16 09:37:03 +0000 UTCits simply scam. 1500€/month is not a reasonable price regardless of how much bandwidth u use lol.

2020-09-16 07:57:41 +0000 UTCI got a direct fiber line since my building is literally 10 meters to our ISP but streaming is a whole copyright mess in the US. Best bet might be to split your videos between platforms like Vimeo and Steamables (or other services), to split the bandwidth and storage space.

2020-09-16 01:49:49 +0000 UTCThis is not the first time I hear a Patreon reactor complain about something like this from vimeo, apparently this is something they do. In most cases this is solved by forgetting everything about them.

2020-09-16 01:40:48 +0000 UTCI suggested she try vp9 cause that's what YouTube supposedly uses for 4k videos. Apparently some times it works really well and other times not so well and I'm not sure why

2020-09-15 23:24:50 +0000 UTCIn addition to the afore mentioned I issues with mega Google drive is even more perilous than mega. She has lost Gmail accounts due to copyright claims in her Google drive

2020-09-15 23:16:59 +0000 UTCYeah I paid like $2-3k for tuition xD these guys are crazy if they think I am going to fork up $1.5k
Mechi
2020-09-15 22:52:50 +0000 UTCI know one reactor who is just making separate vimeo accounts as it will split the bandwidth she uses across 3 accounts. The amount to use 3 vimeo accounts is less than what vimeo was offering to upgrade her one vimeo account. I dont know any other specifics other than that though.

2020-09-15 22:37:29 +0000 UTC1500?!?!?!?! That’s more than what I pay for tuition a semester!!!

2020-09-15 22:25:30 +0000 UTCWhen you already pay why don‘t buy a server and host your own platform. Maybe its more complicated especially when you try to use user authentication but then you don‘t have problems anymore.

2020-09-15 21:55:12 +0000 UTCYaboyroshi had problem with streamable as well for uploading multiple videos a day, a while back but i think they resolved it. They upload 1 episode per video instead of multiple episode, which reduces lot of space. They upload 2-3 videos in a day. They probably resolved it because they upload videos everyday.

2020-09-15 21:48:59 +0000 UTCbitchute is a website to upload videos and the flamingshark and the orangegalen even uses it to upload anime movies and other anime and they’ve been using it for a year with no problem and those guys are anime reactors like you

2020-09-15 21:41:29 +0000 UTCYou should try uploading in bitchute

2020-09-15 21:40:09 +0000 UTCSorry to hear that... wonder why u can't find a provider that meets ur needs? It really does suck that u need to keep changing providers...

2020-09-15 21:36:15 +0000 UTCWell looking with media info at the settings i would probably start experimenting with constant rate factor, higher ref values and choosing a better preset (maybe slow). But i do not know how handbrake changed over the course of the last years. When i did encoding for anime there was no H.265 and we used custom command line encoders :D

2020-09-15 21:01:57 +0000 UTCHm you could try this, maybe? : Uploading to GD/MEGA and provide the Links. After 24 (or 48) hours you replace them with streamable links, so the first (maybe most?) users would watch over GD/MEGA then after replacing the links you could delete the Files on GD/MEGA and cause you are deleting them even the 15GB on a free account could maybe be enough

2020-09-15 20:49:03 +0000 UTCi am using H.264 for my videos
Mechi
2020-09-15 20:46:14 +0000 UTCmega I had a few accounts terminated but also some accounts where the videos were taken down but the account never went down
Mechi
2020-09-15 20:45:36 +0000 UTCx265 would be better yes, but she can use x264 too if she lowers the bitrate a bit that would work too. For example animaechan uses the same codec as SMF, but only about half of the bitrate. 43min Video 1,48GB, SMF > 47min Video 2,88GB

2020-09-15 20:39:48 +0000 UTCYeah I agree. I bet you dont even have to contact the support and can use streamable (or vimeo too) just as always. But yea it doesn't hurt to write the real support so its not a bad idea 👀
Luis
2020-09-15 20:35:57 +0000 UTCYou use h.264 codec yes? Maybe switch to h.265? It can have better compression of about 50%. Its more expensive computational wise but would save you storage/bandwidth
Banti
2020-09-15 20:32:19 +0000 UTCYeah the more I look into the site of Streamable it seems to be more of a gatcha scam, personally I would continue as normal and contact support and ask why they are trying to charge you so much and to have them provide data... Then if they persist to try to make you pay, say sorry but you are not paying and if they want to lower the quality of your vids then that is on them. Also find another service
Ronald
2020-09-15 20:31:28 +0000 UTCjamie try bitchute lol

2020-09-15 20:30:37 +0000 UTCThat is so ridiculous should it be real. :DDD it has to be a scam 🤔😅
Luis
2020-09-15 20:28:10 +0000 UTCI follow a few reactors whom had problems with GD. 2 of them got their account terminated because of copyright issues. Mega isn't that reliable as time passes the videos get deleted tho I didn't heard terminated Mega accounts.
Heiron
2020-09-15 20:26:55 +0000 UTCIf that is the case then she is definitely not using the proper codec because her files should be way smaller. Maybe using H.265 could solve her issue but then again idk what setting she is using for exporting her videos.

2020-09-15 20:26:21 +0000 UTCHope you can resolve this soon

2020-09-15 20:25:00 +0000 UTCYeah with vimeo I told them I couldn't afford it and they wanted me to pay them 23k a YEAR!! xD I don't even make enough to have that money just on my hand like that. I am hoping that lowering the video quality will be enough to prevent the problem.
Mechi
2020-09-15 20:23:05 +0000 UTCMy first comment ever after following your for over a year haha: I think this is a scam and the person who tried to get money from you over vimeo is the same person who is trying this now with streamable. I think Allona said in a stream with Hibou3HD a few weeks ago that she didnt do anything after she got the vimeo-scam mail and nothing happend to her account after the deadline-day in the mail. So yeah i dont know for sure of course but i dont trust this. I would use Streamable just like always and if they block your account then you know that their message isnt fake 👀
Luis
2020-09-15 20:21:20 +0000 UTCdo you know if they were able to resolve it?
Mechi
2020-09-15 20:20:51 +0000 UTCThey are already encoded ofc :D if not they would be way bigger than just 3GB for 1080p, but yea she´s using high quali settings for that, i like that, but if she got too many problems she maybe have to lower it
Speziald
2020-09-15 20:18:37 +0000 UTCYeah currently the ones I am uploading I am using handbreak and making them smaller file sizes
Mechi
2020-09-15 20:18:33 +0000 UTCfeel like this issue is only going to get bigger. the same way youtube used to be more independent. everything is so commercial nowadays :/

2020-09-15 20:17:53 +0000 UTCHmm but only she i guess? never heard issues from other reactors on GD/MEGA
Speziald
2020-09-15 20:16:14 +0000 UTCwell according to Streamable's faq a pro plan which is 7/mo there is no limit on video size or length so them trying to claim you are using too much bandwidth is a shit argument and seem like they are trying to take advantage IMO
Ronald
2020-09-15 20:15:46 +0000 UTCShe's used both mega and Google drive in the past but each had their own issues.

2020-09-15 20:13:22 +0000 UTCI really enjoy your reactions so I'm hoping things work out for ya. Sorry things have been so frustrating.
Thomas Stark
2020-09-15 20:12:29 +0000 UTCHave you ever though of encoding your videos? You saw that YouTube and Vimeo compresses the file size without losing quality. Your 3GB (1080p) that you export and upload should be no more than 500-700mb in size. Maybe looking into doing that so that even your upload will be a lot faster.
LionsGate
2020-09-15 20:08:41 +0000 UTCI use this for another reactors channel it will work
Matthew D Guderian
2020-09-15 20:08:41 +0000 UTCMaybe try different at the same time so people would spread a bit? MEGA (only the ones for are working there ofc), Google Drive, Streamable and dailymotion for example?
Speziald
2020-09-15 20:07:56 +0000 UTCA few other reactors ik are also having this problem. Its happening more than you think
Jessica
2020-09-15 20:07:44 +0000 UTCActually Yaboyroshi ran into this, and back when it happened with vimeo, allona also ran into that problem.

2020-09-15 20:05:13 +0000 UTCK, I will look into that
Mechi
2020-09-15 20:04:26 +0000 UTCYeah this is getting really ridiculous at this point. I hope it works out well for you but it’s kinda confusing because these issues don’t seem to happen to other reactors as much as it happens to you I don’t understand why they’re targeting you....
