Still remember how i watched this weekly and was so suprised by these episodes. Also was kinda a trend at the time that a lot of huge Shonen anime used time skips all in the same year. After Naruto in one year i think Fairy Tail did this 7 year skip, One Piece did the 2 year skip and Bleach too had a time skip, but i won't get into detail about that. But it was all around the same time, was super exciting.

I cried when i saw this back when it aired the 1st time. Them holding hands and saying lets go back home together to fairy tail. To me all of them holding hands represented their home. Like no matter what as long as we are together we are home. This is one of my most memorable anime episodes just because at the time i was having family issues and seeing them stay together until the end just made me start balling.

Actually its LITERALLY power of friendship thing and yes it is explained in next episode... Power from feelings is major part of the magic system in Fairy Tail and therefor power from friendship is part of it too as you can feel very strongly about your friends expecially if you are trying to save/help them... its not a question if its part of the show... the "insulting" comes from critique that feelings powering you up can easily be seen as too convenient powerup system/plot device and as lazy writing...

BTW I don't know if you caught it in editing or not they were trying to perform a defensive spell through Levy and Fried and everyone was giving them magic to make the spell more powerful but the dragon obliterated everything.

Despite popular belief, the next arc is actually canon as it’s been referenced in the manga multiple times and Mashima did the storyboard for it. It’s a fully canon, anime exclusive arc that ties with the story.

Just a little heads-up. After your next reaction. Episode 125 and 126 are 1 episode filler. Episode 127 to 150 is a filler arc (First FT filler arc? I personally don't like it tho). Episode 151. It's mixed. The first half is filler. The 2nd half is canon.
