2020-11-01 00:34:16 +0000 UTCI don't want for us to start a new fairy tail argument, but come on bro! at least listen to what she says... she said she is going to release 2 more episodes on the halloween with the Laxus cosplay. so that's 3 episodes.. admittingly its not as much as before.. but she is still doing her best and we were informed that she is reacting to plenty of shows so she does not have as much time as before.

FT had alot of filler, Daphne arc, This arc she's reacting to about the clock, and arc she hasn't reacted to yet like the kemo kemo one or the one about the celestial spirits. Plus in fairy tail 100 year quest manga they haven't even started the quest yet.

It’s only got two main filler arcs, the 4 episode daphne nonsense, and the occasional couple episodes of hijinks(a lot of which are just adaptations of omake chapters) putting fairy tail in the same category as bleach for “filler” is insulting

For example the character Shiki from One Piece was mentiond in the manga a couple of times but nothing and really nothing that happened during the movie or its filler is canon. The same applies here. design, characters and maybe even some concepts of story might be canon. But the details of what happens during this arc isnt canon at all. Its more like a what if scenario.

There is only one arc arguable being canon or not but thats it. Otherwise im sure u can easly show me the proof where and when he said i exactly as u said. Its kind of annoying to always to talk to people about basically just rumors. You cant even imagine how many people say the author has said this and that without any proof at all. People simply pick up some stuff others said and take it as confirmed with basically no evidence at all. @RaxTheHero yes exactly additional to the canon manga stuff. Therfore it cant be canon because its filler.. Some might be canon to the anime (like in Boruto) if u like it that way but the only thing thats really canon is the manga. Different story if the author/publisher explicity says that its canon like in dragonball super for example. Nothing like that happened with Fairy Tail filler arc except that the author was somehow involved which isnt even a big suprise since most authors are kind of involved with the anime studios and provide them stuff, be it outlines, characters, or any ideas. Its pretty common, that doesnt mean every involvemnt means "canon".

He gave some outlines of what characters should appear and the lasting outcomes of the arc and stuff like that but the actual content in the arc, what happens and how it plays out in detail isn't necessarily canon in anyway. The whole thing is only mentioned as "Zentopia incident" like once or twice and Mashima himself basically retconned some things, like certain character changes and their powers, later on in the Manga.

2020-10-29 19:44:08 +0000 UTCdude filler cant be canon, thats why they are called filler.... And whether they are good or not is quite a subjektive opinion. Im with Jaime here its more about the placement rather than good or bad. Bleach and Narutos filler placements were just horrible. And they were just too often and far too many episodes. Which besacially killed the whole anyime enjoyment. I still remeber the time there we had to endure like 2 1/2 years full of filler for a continuation of Naruto with shippuden. Bleach has like 50% filler, Naruto around 40% and Fairy Tail only 22% or so. One Piece has ~10% only but a really slow pace. So there are pros and cons i guess. But still at least try to place them on some good spots, the quality of the filler is not the problem here there are and always will be good and bad ones.
