Jamie if you ever plan on continuing this series i suggest using the censored version if you would prefer not to see the inappropriate scenes. The audio is going to be the same either way but you at least wouldnt have to see any of whats going on I cant believe they made this into an anime LOL I always thought Goblin Slayer was dark until I watched this. I decided to read the novel and manga after watching episode 1 (had no idea what I was getting myself into since i hadnt yet seen episode 2 at the time.....) so I'm gonna warn those who dont know that not only was the revenge against the princess in episode 2 alot less violent in the anime than in the novel (meaning alot of details and extra scenes were actually omitted due to it being too gruesome to show in the anime; like how in the novel he actually did use the burning rod after he raped her....), but this revenge was also the most light hearted one in the series imo. Keyaru's revenge plots only get more and more messed up each time. And let's be clear: Keyaru is NOT a good person. He's what ppl would call an "anti-hero" like Ainz (only he isnt a nice gamer guy on the inside like Ainz). He only gets crueler as time passes when it comes to taking revenge on people who have wronged him.

Wow this was....wow. I found myself with my mouth open or trying to laugh like this is stupid because i didnt know how else to react. After Goblin slayer i was just upset and angry. i didnt have the stomach for it. I can tolerate stuff like this more now but i feel like ill probably stick to the censored version because i am interested in the story. If you want hentai than its out there but im hoping the story keeps me interested. I do feel bad for the princess because i hate when stuff like that happens to girls. Maybe im a wimp but i dont have the stomach for it. I know she kind of deserves it because the dude got it way worse but maybe just kill them and end it instead of turning into the people you want revenge on. So if anyone is interested to keep following this but found it to extreme i hear its heavily censored on crunchy roll.

The show in on VRV and HiDive legally though those are only the censored versions which for a lot of people is probably a good thing. I do not believe there is any legal source in the west that has the uncensored version.

And yes, get yourself a trusted source before diving into some of these newer anime. Again completely shocked you picked it up for even 2 episodes. Prison School and Grand Blue aren't that bizarre tbh. And Goblin Slayer isn't bizarre. We just live in the West and have our own ideas brought from our upbringings. When a show challenges them we react in varying ways and lately Western society tends to get up in arms over anime shows. I get a good laugh at the outrage mob and brush their opinions to the side.

Surprised you watched this series. If Shield Hero, Interspecies Reviewers, and Goblin Slayer are taboo in western anime culture this was going to upset someone. I don't care personally, but completely understand not watching it. That said saying there is "no good person in this anime" is ignoring what he became from his first life experience. It's pretty obvious that in his first life he was oblivious when he became a hero. He probably wanted to be one out of the own goodness of his heart, but by the end of that life he had been shown nothing other than contempt, hatred, and abuse. The MC being evil is a direct reflection of what the other heroes and the kingdom did to him in the prior life. And in the real world some people just straight out seek revenge. Others try to move on and forgive. This anime is an extreme example of one living their life for revenge. I've read the manga.. It's not bad, but there's more similar scenes spread out throughout the 30+ chapters. That said the anime fails to full adapt the manga and doesn't show the MC's situation fully, but it should be enough to understand his driven hatred. It falls in line with some more recent manga and anime stories, but it lacks some depth that would make it more interesting.

I have to respect you for making it through the two episodes (I couldn't). But yeah I can't see anything going for this show. As you say, everyone is awful in the show so there is no one to root for. The show isn't funny or sexy or anything. I guess some people might find it interesting the "redo" aspect and how the plot will unfold? But the awful main character and disturbing sexual assault/torture scenes make this unwatchable for me.

I was uh surprised to see this show up. I don't think anyone would blame you for not continuing. From what I hear it gets worse. Also nobody should try to convince her to continue with a series like this. A lot of people are not gonna be okay with watching a series that has things like rape and sexual assault in it and people should respect that.
