The first run of fairy tail ends on episode 175 but this is not the end of the grand magic games arc. I would probably recommend reacting to episodes 173-175 at the same time since they cover the same event but that's just my recommendation you do you. I don't know much about where the OVAs sit in the timeline since I watched the majority of them after fairy tails run.

Lucy's basically the honorary MC protag, sharing it w/Natsu ish, but she's still constantly the butt of fanservice shots/jokes n victimhood damsel as soon as her keys are outta the picture. most if not all her celestial spirits don't even deserve her tbh b/c they either be too goofy n incompetent, assholes or sex.harrassing n ripping her clothes off. I mean dang lol give one of the main characters a bit more respect.

2021-05-14 18:06:51 +0000 UTCIMHO Wendy is one of the best characters in Fairy Tail she starts off so timid and innocent and just builds into the kind of character we really first see in this episode and then she keeps going she probably has the most consistent growth of all the characters, alot of other characters (not just in Fairy Tail) tend to "evolve" in bursts but with Wendy you really get a feeling of an ongoing improvement of the character.

2021-05-14 15:13:28 +0000 UTCLucy won her fight against Flare really, she only struggled because Flare cheated by threatening someone else and also because Raven Tail interfered from outside the ring. So she still has a good win rate in her fights. Minerva easily beat Lucy in this episode though :( In terms of what you can watch, OVA 6 and Movie 1 are watchable at this point. I'm not sure of when the best time would be to actually take a break from the main story and watch those ones. Whenever you feel like a change of pace I guess!
