i felt like kanjuro was the wayy too obvious to be the correct pick. the traitor is said to my born into theatrical and art and kanjuro is literally an artist with face paint and everything.

Looking back there were subtle hints, like in dressrosa he was the only one to not receive a bounty by dofamingo.

At first I thought that Shinobu was possibly the traitor, largely because of how her odd actions nearly got herself and Nami caught or killed. This suspicion grew particularly strong after that flashback, seeing how different she was back then and knowing Orochi gave the traitor a devil fruit (her rotting ability could be a devil fruit power). After her was Kikunojo. The reason I suspected him/her was because Orochi said that the spy sending him info was in a theater troupe, and O-Kiku was able to completely convince Sanji that she was a woman, suggesting some serious acting chops. This makes sense, since Orochi said that they survived by playing other characters. This makes the reveal of the real traitor quite a surprise.
Also I was likewise not expecting the Straw Hats to show up at that moment. Law maybe, but I thought that Franky might need a LITTLE more time to repair the ship. Of course I knew that those bombs wouldn't be able to destroy the Adam wood-based Sunny, not even when Big Mom's raging on top of it was unable to sink it (though given enough time she might have managed.) Regardless I expected that repairs would take a little longer and that Luffy would show up at that place a bit later.

Cant believe she actually guessed Kanjuro. that was impressive. I remember when the manga chapter released, people were thinking inuwarashi but not noone, literally noone was naming Kanjuro. So that was an impressive guess!!!!

that just doesnt make sense u mean he changed like that since the 20 year gap? he went from serious and analytical to some jolly smiling guy simply because he wanted to? we need more backflash on what happened during that 20 year gap.

Well looking in the context of back then, I don't think they were separated from Kanjuro for that long anyway. Dressrosa and Punk Hazard don't seem that far at all from each other given Doflamingo can just string fly his way over and I can't imagine the samurai were separated for more than a few weeks. But yeah, lots of hints of Kanjuro ain't being right lol

Well when your ship has a giant laser cannon, it's understandable you'd prefer that over plebian cannonballs lol

Remember when kin met up with kanjuro? No tearful joy and everything all he asked was that if momo was with him and if he was ok? That subtle hint that Oda did was so good.

if you saw better the previous episodes, kanjuro drew with his left hand when but he always fought with his right hand, that's why he has terrible drawings

I would like to note that this is the very first time in the entire series the Straw Hats attacked an enemy like that with the ship's cannon (in case if I'm wrong please remind me). Hearing Luffy saying “fire!” was very new to me.

For some reason Luffy wearing a coat/jacket makes me think that he is a great pirate now, because many of the other captains like Roger, whitebeard, shanks, and the stronger admirals all wear capes.

i kinda thought shinobu was the traitor cause of how she royally sucked as a ninja, and then cast shade on law's crew. Kin ignored or couldn't accept the idea of a traitor shinobu was quick to point fingers and push law away when he's very useful/helpful. Also as someone who remained in Wano she didn't recognize yasu it felt very odd,

i found kanjuro suspect since dressrosa, for one how did no one find him hiding behind a wall of ink/art, observation haki is a thing. Also Kanjuro left the group open to attacks, like when he made the net/ladder up, he left it for enemies to follow.

SMF so idk if someone else has already told you this or not but it was revealed in a SBS that Yasuie didn't eat a smile fruit, he was just laughing to cheer others up since they were suffering because they ha eaten the smile fruits. So this goes to show just how good Yasuie was to give his own food/money to others and do everything else that he did.

now that you know the traitor there were a bunch of guesses from the community for years. the four most popular guesses were: carrot, kanjurou, Law and then shinobu when she was introduced in Zou. other guesses were: Dogstorm, Cat viper, the little monkey from zou (no i'm not kidding lol,) wanda, shisillan (however you spell it,) raizo, kiku, kinemon some thought would really hurt if it was him. haha so yea tons of guesses

Ryuuuunosukee!!! we cried over a Kanjurou's drawing hahaha a CURIOSITY, Kanjurou is right-handed, and he always drew with his left hand purposely to draw badly, now he is using his original hand.

It's fun to look back and see how many hints Oda dropped about the traitor. Some are very subtle.
-In his very first appearance Kanjuro was eating with his right hand. But he always draws with his left hand, probably to make himself draw bad intentionally.
-Of Oden's retainers, Kanjuro, Kinemon and Momonosuke and the minks were the only ones who knew Raizo was at Zou, so how did Jack get the info?
-After Kinemon and the others skip to the future in episode 910 you can see two birds fly away (probably to send Orochi the message we see in ep 976).
-And just the general idea that Kanjuro has done nothing but slow down the alliance ("accidentally" sent pirates after Usopp in Dressrosa, draw a really slow animal to climb Zou, did nothing to help at Wano except sell fish etc.)
