I was able to read the first few early arcs of Rave in my local library years ago, it's really good. I haven't seen the anime but if you do wanna experience it after FT then I recommend the read. Speaking of, I should finish it myself

Fun fact: Haru was heavily nerfed for this ova, since it’s Fairy Tail oriented that’s why he seemed “weaker” against Natsu🙃. And that music that played during the fight is Rave Master’s opening theme “Butterfly Kiss!” It’s a shame Rave didn’t get a proper adaptation ☹️ it’s Mashimas greatest story not contest, altho Edens Zero might just surpass it by the end 👀👀👀

i honestly wonder y the autor of both yu yu hakucho and hunter x hunter never made an anime crossover like rave and fairy tail. they can easily have a cross over with them entering some kind of tournament . like make the yu yu hakusho characters participate in the hunter x hunter tower tournament and that's where they meet gon and the rest of them and it leads to them teaming up to fight a enemy together.

Rave Master has by far the best story and character development out of the three for me! But the Anime is a very bad adaption, not just quality wise, but also the content! So my advise would be, read the manga or skip rave master completly :D Its just my opinion ^,^ But Rave Master is really awesome (and no power of friendship crap! xD)

i must say im not a fan of stopping the series mid arc. Sure its a new "Season" with the animation changes and all, but its still right in the middle of an important ark. I would have liked it more to do the OVA, openings, etc after the ark, so you dont get that interrupted from the main story. I just hope when you finally go back to the series you can catch back on with the story and the flow of the series. :)

I don't think ravemaster characters where made too look in the fairy tail art style. That's honestly how they really look like, Hiro always draws his different series in the same art style. It's like his trademark or something. That's why eden zero looks similar to fairy tail, it has similar art style. Just like how Oda draws his one piece characters very similar, tall skinny people with circle eyes like nami, luffy, and shanks.

Yeah its sad the anime did the amazing manga of Rave so dirty. Still hoping for a HunterXHunter type of remake situation, that actually animates the entire manga, because to this day it’s Mashimas best work,hands down(although EZ is coming fast for that crown). Also yes Gray’s necklace is an easter egg of Rave.

I started Rave Master (manga) a while ago and it's pretty good. I recommend it. Also yeah the anime ends like a third of the way through the manga so I wouldn't check it out.
