Yes! I was strongly considering recommending that as well as it's a great blend of comedy, action & story all packed within 12 episodes. Also it's a wonderful Isekai to follow up shield hero with in my experience, it's a lot more lighthearted than the latter but still has a grounded story.

I love Magi!! I'll have to go with D.Gray Man it's one of the older "darker" shounen and it's soo freaking good! Either that or Hitman Reborn which is just as good, and it's a mafia theme shounen, Altho the first 20ep or so are slice of life/comedy the the shounen aspect immediately pops off after.

So glad that you are resuming your Slime reactions (I think that is what you were saying in your post *fingers crossed*) and am more than happy to suggest other anime for the upcoming poll. As much as I would love to see you reacting to So I'm a Spider, So What? I think that it would be better to save that when Slime goes on break at the end of the part 2 of the second season. That way you won't get overwhelmed by so much similar content at the same time. Instead I think that you should watch Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, a fun rom-com whose twist is pretty much spelled out in the series' title (though it has plenty of surprises to throw at us as the series progresses.) I'll refrain from spoiling it for you, but just know that the premier of the second season is coming up here in July.

Regarding more recent, seasonal anime: 1. Fumetsu no Anata e (To Your Eternity) is a must watch, its amazing in so many aspects. Regarding recent movies: 1. Josee to Tora to Sakana-tachi (Josee, the Tiger and the Fish) is really great romance/comedy/drama. For lighthearted romance like Horimiya/Koikimo (most favorite genre by far): 1. Wotakoi, Love is Hard for Otaku is insanely cute and a must watch. 2. Gotoubun no Hanayome (Quintessential Quintuplets) is another really good romance, and may be a bit different from the other ones you may be used to. 3. Hinamatsuri, not a romance anime, but a very very well done comedy nonetheless.
