2021-07-03 03:28:21 +0000 UTCthe wish was that he wanted ugo to be his friend. he didn't "wish for a friend" wasn't really a wish but more like a request. it transition to him saying "please be my friend" to alibaba. he said "please be my friend" to ugo as well. also.. besides the name and the egypt atmosphere... it has nothing to do with the disney aladdin.

The way you pronounce it in this video is the American pronunciation and how I've always been told to pronounce it (even though I'm English), it's not a wrong way to pronounce the word but it's not how they pronounce it in Japanese. The Japanese pronounce it the way I assume you'll be pronouncing it from now on so that became the official name/pronunciation of the anime.
