From what i remember without researching, the anime was supposed to end here. The author said there was no plans to continue the anime but after seeing all the positive feed back and fans asking about the next season the said they were going to do their best to get another season for the anime. Im pretty sure i saw this information on the day this last episode aired. Obviously another season was confirmed. It has been delayed but not by to long. I really like tnis anime and im glad were getting more.

If we were going by the novels there is no way they kissed at this point of time considering Naofumi's mental state. But well the anime didn't really care about that part (or the fact that he doesn't get that territory until like 5 volumes further down the line), which might make problems in the future since it would seem like Naofumi suddenly regressed. They will most likely simply ignore this in the following season since if they were to acknowledge this as a kiss it's not just Naofumi's character but also his relationship with Raphtalia that they would have to change from the source material from here on out.

i don't think she had an issue with cgi before watching overlord but overlord cgi was so crap that it gave her ptsd and it reminded her of the cgi in overlord.
