That OST that you really like in these episodes. I heard it a couple times before started watching Magi and I instantly fell in love with it. It got me hyped af when I heard it for the first time in the show.

Yeah, it's basically a symbol denoting Solomon (dude's been mentioned as the OG big boi King, and the Djinn are his underlings, as noted by Amon in like Episode 2 or w/e they cleared the Dungeon), and it's not solely a thing in Magi, it's common in occult-based fantasy series as well overall

Alibaba is already a king candidate. Any weapon that glows with that symbol shows that you've cleared a dungeon and captured the Djinn and can use it's power. So keep an eye out for that

I can't remember any point in the Magi anime where I didn't understand things or missed something in the sub. Also your assertion that dubs are generally more accurate translation is ruined by the fact that there are also dubs that like to sometimes just change stuff up without reason. E.g. google Kobayahi-san chi no Maid Dragon sub vs dub changes

Great reaction! Magi is a good Anime! I think that since you are watching in Sub you may be missing some information making it harder for you to understand everything. interesting enough the dub is not bad. I suggest watching at least the first 10 Episodes in Dub. if you wanted to switch to DUB going forward to understand the abilities in this world as well as just to sit back and enjoy the ride, it's not a bad watch. I seen it in both Sub and dub and the voice actors did good in both. I suggest pausing the video if you're talking while information is being explain in sub, to get clarification and not miss information being said. keep in mind that Japanese and English language are not compatible languages. As such when certain agencies translate, some are literal translations, and it may not make sense when reading the sub titles where as with this dub they look at the root words in Japanese and translate it to a word that conveys a similar thought and meaning or understanding in Dub thus making it a reliable translation for this anime. Of course what I'm saying is not true for all anime. Ultimately the point is I noticed that there are some things your not understanding that was explained in earlier episodes. I'm generally a sub watcher but this is one of the few anime I watched and enjoyed in dub.

Well it's more like "male nipples ? what's that, who needs that ?" then that they actively censor them. Afaik it's pretty common for anime art to just leave the males without nipples. Female nipples on the other hand are usually drawn in and are then usually censored on top in the TV version of anime.

It's always been interesting about the different censorship standards for male and female nipples. In this show, I guess male nipples are always censored, like Aladdin's weird bra that he wears or the fat slave owner in the first episode who didn't have nipples drawn on his chest. But female nipples are okay. Meanwhile youtube will come after you if you try to post this episode since it has female nipples.
