These 2 episode perfectly encapsulate the grand magic games arc. Which is why fairy tail fans would almost all tell you why this is the best arc. the fun is not over yet, still more to love.

Lucy did lose her arm but the last flashback they did showed her having her arm back because the Animators didn't want to show her without one so it's a bit confusing for most

Episode 190 is one of my favorites. Future Lucy's death was so unexpected for me. Even if it wasn't the main Lucy I never expected Hiro to kill off Lucy it just didn't seem like something this series would do. Then the realization that she lost her arm and her guild mark on top of the flashback to when she first joined the guild really made me cry.

Now we know why in episode 184 the anime chose to have the princess say "she" instead of the manga's non pronoun usage. The anime was hoping we would go along with everything and fall to the plot twist of two future travelers. If the anime used the manga's words, then there would be doubt and make the plot twist not hit as hard.

personally thought Sting Rogue Ogra and Rufus along with Lector and Frosche would have joined fairy tail after all this. Sabertooth should have been investigated there was clear abusive policies in the guild they should have been shut down.

Man the first time I saw future Lucy die all those years ago, that got me but it got worse after Happy's words and seeing Natsu so pissed. Because Natsu too this point was never this angry. After episode 190 see how Natsu is with Lucy in the future episodes whenever Lucy is in danger.

Did they make it obvious in the manga? When I first watched it I just thought she lost her guild mark ( like the guild disbanding or something), not lost her arm. It wasn't until later that I found out she didn't have an arm.

I love your fairy tail reactions! They don't make this obvious, but if you remember Natsu said that future Lucy was lighter than the current Lucy and that's because she lost her right arm. That's why she wanted to see present Lucy's right hand (the one with the guild mark) as she no longer had hers. Also in one of the episodes future Lucy was writing in a book and she dropped it when running away and the person who picked it up said her hand writing was bad. That's because she was forced to write with her left hand, which she wasn't used to. Last thing she had to take the lid of the pen off with her mouth because she didn't have another hand. It's such a sad scene...Poor Happy (honestly poor everyone at that point).
