Fairy Tail Movie 1: Phoenix Priestess Reaction + Review!

Hiro Mashima is such a good artist and the manga is very well drawn and so it's really nice to have a animation that truly shows how gorgeous Fairy Tail can be. I wish the actual adaptation was as well animated but what can you do. Hoping 100YQ gets better treatment.

I haven't watched your reaction yet, but there's a short (12 minute) prequel to the film called "Prologue: The First Morning" which you can find under Fairy Tail "Extras" on Funimation. It's an adaptation of a promotional manga chapter drawn by Hiro Mashima (the author of Fairy Tail). I actually watched this prequel AFTER seeing the movie, and I still enjoyed it, so if you're interested, that might be something to check out.

Aw I was hoping you might watch the short movie prologue because it gives some interesting extra context to Eclair, Momon and and Dist’s characters, but I’m glad you enjoyed the movie!!! For the Bacchus thing at the start, idk if anyone remembers, but there was actually a small mention in the water park OVA that someone had been impersonating him (Bacchus) to steal stuff lol. I love how FT has little connections like that
