2022-03-01 17:52:00 +0000 UTCI felt extremely sorry for what was going to happen when you kept on basically saying I'm so happy that Gobzo and Gobta didn't die and my heart isn't AS broken as it could've been, that 100% made is 1000 times worse than if you didn't think all the stuff was done (which btw because of the music and me not realizing that they were missing I did the exact same thing as you :( ). Also can't wait for your next reaction, idk when you watch these or if you'll even read this so I won't spoil anything in here, but can't wait!

2022-02-28 18:31:20 +0000 UTCCan't say I feel like the extra brutality would make it more impactful. What the anime does do very wrong is simply not having a good flow of time. Showing how Rimuru feels would have been very easy if they had just shown a few days passing by quickly as he's standing there in roughly 20-30 seconds at most. Instead they didn't and just pretended that no time passed at all. I don't read the LN, so I didn't even know he stood there for 3 days in the source material. I do think a lot of the time it makes sense to skip a lot of things from LN's, but you do have to be careful not to just skim past little important moments that give far more perceived depth to important characters. As much as I have enjoyed the anime overal, I do feel like the next thing pretty much immediately starts once one thing finishes and that's mainly due to how the creators are portraying time.

2022-02-26 05:58:15 +0000 UTCThe LN at least shows that he was holding vigil alone in the square for 3 days. No reactor I've seen has noticed, or at least commented upon, the fact that in the anime, Rimuru was led to the square at night, and Eren tells her story at dawn.

Like Rimuru laughing and smiling while asking where Shion was. That did not happen in the manga/LN. Rimuru's tone and behavior during the whole ordeal was much more serious.

Then again Gobta's emotional response was so raw and real I don't blame you for responding to it. The next few episodes are going to be hype, I can hardly wait for your next video. P.S. It's kinda funny (not "ha ha" funny but odd) how you had said that the series went from "happy Slime moments to despair" as the title of episode 7 is literally "Despair". Also rather coincidental is that you made the Mega password "Hope" when the title of episode 8 is also "Hope". Kinda funny how that works out, and be sure to get those tissues we advised you to get before as I'm certain you'll still need them.

I have a feeling this would have crushed you a bit more since Slime Diaries is all about the fun in-between moments in Season 1 before Season 2. Also the manga made it even worse with Rimuru remembering the dead villagers happy around town faded in one panel and the reality of them dead in the next including Shion.

A demon lord is basically just a title. Anybody with enough power can self proclaim themselves to be one while a true demon lord is a evolution into the actual demon lord race. Just so there won't be any confusion when they mention both names
