How rad is that?! Loved to see the moment between Usopp and Yasopp too <3 I've saved the entire soundtrack to my playlist :D

2023-10-08 12:03:32 +0000 UTCThis was one I was waiting forever to see and it delivered. I did not expect it to end so sad. The music was brilliant. And Im pretty sure the end credits were Cover Story pages adapted with added Uta charm. So you can consider them canon. Nothing really crazy they were just showing what the characters were up to. Like showing Bon Clay was alive and took Ivas place in Impel Down for example. But here they added that they were listening to the Utas music which is a real nice touch.

2023-10-07 22:33:05 +0000 UTCSo to explain the whole situation regarding the final twist (i.e., Uta knowing the truth), the thing was that she found that out after she began her career as a famous singer/diva. After Shanks “abandoned her”, Uta tried to fill the void he left in her heart with her fans, she also vented her frustration with Shanks by way of basing her whole brand/diva persona on her hatred of pirates (Shanks and the Red-Haired Pirates in particular) and their actions (i.e., the plundering and the pillaging). According to a chronological table Oda wrote for Uta's character for the film red staff, upon learning the truth, Uta’s mind was essentially fractured in two (which is represented in her twin hair colours). There’s Uta the diva, who hates pirates and the harm they’ve caused and wants to bring about a new era through her “New Genesis” (represented by her white hair that covers her eye), and the real Uta who’s still that 9 year old girl that Shanks left behind and while still angry at him, desperately wants to reunite with her adoptive father (represented by her red hair, which she shares with Shanks, that doesn’t cover her eye) So when she learned the truth Uta was torn, on one hand, she wanted to forgive Shanks and reconcile with him, but on the other hand, she didn’t want to let her fans down by giving up her diva persona and abandoning her plans for the “New Genesis”. Also, because she was still bitter about the whole abandonment situation, Uta decided that it was better for her to double down on the “New Genesis” plan than reconcile and reunite with Shanks. Because (in her mind), her fans were there for her and cared about her and loved her, while Shanks and the Red-Haired crew never once came back for her and/or clarified anything with her, and thus seemingly didn’t care about her.
