When they say "their magic has grown" or "their magic is different" its very clear what they mean. And when they say magic spell its pretty clear given the context too. For example Yami wouldve said Charlottes magic is different which it was because shes an elf. And that she was using her magic differently. Which she was. Because the elf was using the spells differently than Charlotte does. And because of the context the meaning was clear.

In this vocabulary, magic power would the power/energy/capacity inherent (however is measured) of a character to perform magic, which is an action/application/performance based on using the magical power.

There are three things, mana magic power魔力 maryoku and magic/spell 魔法 Mahō. So pay attention to the pronunciation of the words, when they say 魔力 maryoku in the japanese dub, they're referring to magic power and not magic or mana マナ. Mana is an important aspect of every mage that has ever lived, as it is their source of "magic power" 「魔力 maryoku」, which is used to cast magic spells 魔法 Mahō.
