The Goonies (1985) - Commander Exclusive Bonus Episode
Added 2025-11-14 18:17:17 +0000 UTCHey you guys! 1985 season is upon us, and you know what that means? It means it's our time. Our time to watch The Goonies.
This is a film that Rob and Dave love so much that they couldn't risk its inclusion on a public vote. A film about friendships, childhood, and adventure, and plugged in to a specific nostalgia for a specific time, when no adults seemed to be watching, and wherever you wanted to be most in the world was only a BMX ride away.
Also, we do some weird talk about food pipelines and chicken oviducts, which I think it's best for everyone that we never mention again.

The giant octopus made an appearance in The Goonies ZX Spectrum game. 5 year old me never could get past it.

There's a whole section where they end up testing out meat grown from kids because it's the most tender and there's a bunch of children getting grabbed and scraped for tissue samples - very funny and worth a watch if you can stomach Gregg Wallace.
