I just checked to make sure but in case you didn't know, Season 4 was confirmed to be split into 3 cours for the final season. Weirdly it was revealed 2 days after you left this comment lol weird timing

I’m thinking of a particular moment that happens that could serve as a crazy cliffhanger if they do a split. I don’t think Dr. Stone is big enough for a movie like Bunny Girl, Spy Family, or Demon Slayer but it would be nice

Preferably toss a special or two in there like the one between seasons 2&3. I think if they do a special between this and the next season could get a good jumping off point at the beginning of the final season.

2024-08-08 20:13:38 +0000 UTC@PotterBrony -- Now, I haven't read the manga, but it sounds like they could also end the series with a movie if that's how many manga chapters remain. Of course, I'm hoping that's not the case - movies take forever to go from Japanese theaters to streaming services.

2024-08-08 15:30:36 +0000 UTCTruthfully there is plenty of story left for another season. In fact I’m not sure one final season will be enough. Where this season ended puts it at chapter 142 of 232 of the manga. So there’s a bit under 40% of the story left to animate. There gonna have to speed run a few things, or give it the AOT treatment (part1/part2) or get another couple special episodes.
