This has to be one of the most emotional ep of anime this year.... I think the reality of her situation with her daughter hit the feels so hard because this happens in real life.

When they came to collect the money she was short what she owed so they took her daughter. As to what happened to the daughter after that, I think you can imagine... So she committed suicide by jumping off a building because she couldn't take losing her daughter..

2024-11-15 00:17:27 +0000 UTCTruly a heartbreaker reading this in the manga and double whammy seeing this now, some things the anime did shy away, in the manga it was more clear she was doing prostitution on the side and the men who came to the house was her pimp who beat her cause the money she spent buying her daughter a dress wasn’t hers to spend horrible stuff…
