The director/animators mentioned on twitter that episode 1 and 2 are fast paced (super fkin fast ngl, ive read the entire series and it still had me pausing) because there's a plot event they want to include in episode 3. This specific pacing is because many companies use a 3-episode standard for audience retention, so they needed to adapt the source material to 3 episodes to make sure it reaches the right point at the right time. The animators also stated that they felt that each subsequent episode was better than the last as the pacing slows down and the story gets explored. Season 2 is all but confirmed and should have around 20 or so episodes. Praise the Fool.

There aren't any spoilers so you should be good to read this. - 1st scene: + Brief overview of the power system: There are 22 types of power, each power represents a god. Level 9 is the starting level, each time you level up, your power will increase, when you reach the highest level, you will have the power of a god. Ex: 9 -> 8 -> 7 -> ... -> 1. Therefore, this power system is also called "Path of the Divine" (Pathways). + The user of this power is called "Beyonder". The way to achieve this power is to drink magic potions. The formula for making magic potions for each pathway will be different. The ingredients can be herbs, animal carcasses, minerals, etc. - 2nd scene: + Our main character is named Zhou Mingrui, he is Chinese, a normal person, a programmer, and has a normal family. One day, due to bad luck at work, he bought a book that recorded a lucky ritual (place 4 dishes in 4 corners of the wall, then chant a spell). After performing the ritual in that book, he isekai to another world and reincarnates in another person's body. The day he isekai is June 28, 1349 (according to the new world calendar). - 3rd scene: + He is reincarnated in the body of a person named Klein Moretti, a recent graduate of Khoy University, has a younger sister named Melissa Moretti and a brother named Benson Moretti. Their parents died before. + Klein (original)'s condition is quite strange, he committed suicide with a gun. But when Zhou revived in his body, the wound closed itself and Klein's memories merged with Zhou's memories. - 4th scene: + Klein (original)'s death is related to another murder case. Klein (original) had 2 friends, Welch McGovern and Naya, both of them also committed suicide at Welch's house. Welch banged his head against the wall until he died, Naya drowned her head in a basin of water until she died. Before that, all 3 of them were studying a diary of the Antigonus family. But after these 3 people died, this diary disappeared. - 5th scene: + Zhou Mingrui, now Klein Moretti, feels confused with this unknown world, wants to go home (old world). So he went out to buy some food to repeat the lucky ritual from the beginning, while on the road he felt that he was being followed so he hid in a circus tent, there was a fortune teller there. So he tried to tell his fortune -> The Fool. He suddenly realized that this world also had Tarot cards from the old world, and the inventor was Roselle the Emperor (a king in this world from 200 years ago) so he thought that Roselle was a senior isekai. After returning home, he repeated the ritual, but instead of returning to the old world, he was teleported to a mysterious space surrounded by gray mist and many stars (red, blue). He accidentally touched 2 of the stars and they summoned 2 other people: Audrey and Alger. Klein wanted to exchange information with the other 2 people, so he thought of some tables and chairs to sit down and discuss. Surprisingly, this space fulfills his wish, so he takes advantage of this power to pretend to be a god - The Fool. Through the conversation between Audrey and Alger, Klein learns that this world has magic and the magic user is "Beyonder". Audrey wants to become "Beyonder" so she makes a deal with Alger to get the formula of a pathway called "Spectator". - 6th scene: + As mentioned above, Klein (original), Welch and Naya committed suicide in connection with a diary of the Antigonus family. Because there is a magical element in this case, the special task force (Nighthawks) was sent to investigate. They followed the trail to Klein's house. They planned to use magic to force Klein (Zhou) to tell the truth, but Klein (Zhou) was afraid that this would reveal that he came from Earth, so he ran away. But he could not escape because he was pulled into a dream by Dunn Smith. In the dream, Klein was conscious (?) and escaped this interrogation. After the interrogation was fruitless, Dunn Smith and Daly Simone invited him to join the Nighthawks with the purpose of searching for the Antigonus family's diary. ----- End of EP 1 -----
